Anyone needing tickets give Southwest a look. I LOVE a bargain

We got the same cheap fare $79 for our Feb 2010 trip.....so very excited!! Southwest is simply the BEST!! Laurie :)

Nice work Melissa! I've been working my October and December flight prices on SWA out of MHT and have gotten mine from $129 to $99. Hopefully I get get them down a bit more. :)

Keep checking George. The prices seem to change everyday , sometimes twice a day :goodvibes

Awesome news. Great for you.

Thanks for passing this on Melissa! I was thinking of an October last minute trip to the world and tickets out of Providence are still $79.00........maybe I'll get to go now :cool1:

I did the same thing yesterday and now have $185 in credit for our trip in May 2010. I love Southwest!

Bummer, our flights have been high. 129 each way

How do you obtain credit?? For airlines?? I mean...do you guys book a flight for one price and then go back and see it's lower and then reschedule for the lower flight one?? I'm sooo new to this and I don't wanna screw this up. Thanks!!:thumbsup2

Seems SWA flights out of Bradley in CT and Manchester NH are higher than Providence RI. If you are flexible with your departure times (and location) you can find the $79.00 rate from RI through December.

When I booked for December, JetBlue (out of Logan MA) offered better rates than SWA. SWA rates have dropped, the difference was ~$20 less but the departure times were were not favorable. I not sure why JetBlue rates have been going up since the plane is about 1/4 full. :confused3

We just held out until 3 weeks before our trip and got our tickets for $59.00 each way. Yoohoo. I was not looking forward to an 15 hour drive.:cool1:

As I fly fairly frequently, I usually book my flights as one way flights on Southwest as soon as the dates become available. I check the price frequently. When the price goes down I click the View/Change flights button on their website and choose the lower priced flight. They then issue a credit for travel that needs to be used 1 year from the original purchase date. For example, if you purchase a ticket on August 1, 2009 and the price decreases on October 1st, you can change the reservation. However, the credits need to be used by August 1, 2010. I changed my October flights three times and now have a sizable credit that we can use for our May 2010 trip. You can also cancel a flight if you need to change days/airports and the credit works the same way. I ended up with a 20% off promo code so cancelled my flight and rebooked. Hope this answers your question.
