i got a postcard for moderate at $79....however the name on the card is for a different person but the address is mine! can i still use it??

I once got one sent under my sister's name to my address. I figured it was because I had taken her on a trip a few years ago and used my address to book everything. I called about the rate, but they wouldn't let me use it. The lady said I would have to have and ID to check in, and if the postcard wasn't in my name they wouldn't honor the rate.

I would try to use it. The worse they can say is no. After all, it is your address.

I know they do check ID against the name on the postcard. My sister got a postcard last year, so I had to switch our ressie to her name and they did request to see her ID when we gave them the postcard. The name on the ressie has to match the name on the card and they have to be present to sign in. I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

& I'm so bummed about it because it's until the end of the year! AKL from $105/night...I'm sure that they would have similar price range for the YC/BC, if they have availability...but I can't go!!!

I just received one in yesterday's mail.....never received one before. Not sure why I got it, maybe because I booked weeks ago.

I booked a trip for the first week of Dec about 4 weeks ago. Wanted to stay at the Coronado and had a code for $85.00 a night.

Unfortunately, the code did not apply to the Coronado and the CRO said no rooms available anyway.

Called yesterday with the postcard code for the heck of it and got in at the Coronado for the same time frame at $79.00.





Now if I could only win the Progressive Jackpot

We got one a couple of years ago sort of in my wife's name. She spells her name Becki and it was spelt that way. But the last name was way off base (you have to see my wife's handwritting to understand how that could have happened). There was an i.d. number on it so I called anyway and explained the situation. They changed the last name and let us use it.

I would be sure to ask the CM at the CRO or maybe get confirmatin from a supervisor. They can override things in the computer and let you have the rate, I think. The check in CM won't question it if they do.
