I got a Dress!

After searching like crazy because I didn't really like my bargain basement $9.00 deal (which I gave to my niece for prom), I finally, after searching the net until my eyeballs were about to pop, found my dress. I found a few dresses I fell in love with and almost bought, but took everyone's advice here and went to the bridal shop to try them on first. Well, sure enough, I looked awful in them. Then there was two that looked really bad on the hangers, but my MIL told me to try them anyways. The hangers did not do them justice because we MIL, SIL and I all fell in love with them both. One I thought was a bit too flashy for our VR so I am going with the other.

THAT DRESS IS GORGEOUS!!

I can't wait to start shopping for my vow renewal dress. DH and I are renewing our vows on the beach and I don't really do the "white" thing so I'm looking for a really pretty spring dress with straps or sleeveless. I can't wait to start looking. Maybe by that time, I will have lost my last 10 pounds!

Thanks so much for the replys. I had a Cinderella dress for my wedding so I wanted something a little different for our VR. I think it is a good compromise, even though my SIL thinks it looks like something you'd wear to the Oscars (even tho she still likes it). Guess if I ever get invited to the Oscars, I'll have something to wear! lol.
