I've been thinking about this and I'm taking a page out of the playbook of Republicans and how they "respected" OUR then president, Bill Clinton, when they were screaming for his impeachment.

I know my menopausal mind is a little weak on memory these days, but I'll never forget the bashing and the justification for doing so -- over relatively nothing. Well, this is something. Another 4 years of Bush, for me, is not "something to get over" and you can call it whining or bad sportsmanship or whatever you like, but remember: what I'm feeling is no different ( more logical, IMO) than what Republicans felt (still feel, some of them) about wanting Clinton out of the white house. Like someone said - this wasn't the Superbowl - this is serious and I am afraid for this country.

Call it bashing if you like, but I consider it speaking out for what I believe. And I'll be doing lots of it. Put down those cocktails, people - we need mental clarity to be watchful of what Bush trys to do these next 4 years.

Polly, my dear (I can't call you Aunt, I'm probably older than you) We are here, we are watching and we are pretty damned sober.

I figure the Bushies are gonna hear about as much from us as we heard from them, maybe more. There's a lot more at stake this time: The deaths of thousands and thousands; the destruction of the air and water; the skyrocketing budget.

They can call us anything they want. I'm not afraid of bullies.

I never felt call to do a "hear, hear", but this deserves it.

The bottom line is that as long as I voted, I feel I have every right to express my opinion. Call it what you want, I call it my right as an American.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that the deliberate mistyping of my screenname was purely accidental and unintentional, as I would never expect an enlighted, open minded liberal to resort to namecalling.

Jump to conclusions much? I'm not advocating anything. I had no idea the obvious correlation would be lost on Kerry supporters. I would have thought they would have jumped all over this obvious implication.

It honestly was. There are some screennames I see on DIS that I misreading because they loo so close to what I think I'm seeing. Somehow I miss the 'm' in 'dmadman'

And, btw, I'm not a liberal. You know, the opposite of Republican is not liberal, it's Democrat. Believe it or not you can sepaate Liberal from Democrat and they can stand on their own.

That about sums it up to me! Around here they're called Rednecks. And you don't have to live in the south to be one. What kills me is how many times I've heard one talk about why they support Bush. "Kerry wants to take guns away and keep us from huntin'!" Uhh...Kerry supported banning assault weapons. Since when do you need an oozie to kill a deer or a squirrel?
"Well, Kerry likes abortion." Kerry never said he was FOR abortion he said he believes that it's the woman's decision, not the governments and outlawing them isn't going to stop them. God help us all with W in the White House for the next 4 years. Pretty soon we're going to have North Korea and many other countries on our butts and it will make the Iraq war look minor. I hope it doesn't happen but with this administration it wouldn't surprise me.
