ok, so if you do the two window, mule thing....

you can start a game of haunted mansion, you vs your mule, and of course you never move your mule.

rack up the ghosts and score an easy win.

muhahaha

by the way, i still stink at the game. gamebot can attest to that. sorry bud, and thanks for pulling out the win. i'm sure my whopping8 ghosts made all the difference.

oh and btw, for me at least, the controls are MUCH better when i play 1 on 1 vs 3 on 3 or 4 on 4.

lol I will have to try this one...

and I noticed too that I am much better when the game is one on one than any other numbers-

Now if only I can get in and play- I left my laptop at home- so I'd be forced to work but after almost 6 hours here I'm brain dead and taking a DIS break- would much rather that be a VMK break though lol

ok so the most i ever had in my 5 or 6 games played so far was 8 ghosts lol.

So i was playing with a guest, as bad at the game as me lol and was chugging along and had 27 ghosts in round 1. Huge improvent. and then.......

Crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrash lol.

god i love my computer. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

and yes, i found the key for me is to play 1 on 1. makes a lot of people mad when i try and start a game and 3 people all jump on my team, i just exit lol.

i need a good 1 on 1 buddy to play with. :teeth:

the only problem with this is that the purple ghosts all gain up and you become a ghost more then playing the game

I was playing the game with one of my mules and the mule crashed. I couldn't win - it said the other players left the game.

I haven't tried it yet but I am going to try putting the mule next to one of the coffins so that when the mule gets caught and turns into a ghost. I can suck her up for double points. Woot

Cool! I will have to try that. Honestly, I played one game so far and I really couldn't get the hang of the controls while dealing with the pressure of the game. This would be a good way to get some practice and rack up some credits at the same time :cool1: Thanks for the tip! You aren't asking for a cut of the credits, are you? LOL

yeah i have learned when it comes to vmk processor speed is MUCH more important than iternet connection.

playing fireworks on my dads 2ghz with a dial up connection goes MUCH smoother than playing it on my 900mhz with a dsl connection.

Same appears to be true for the mansion game. IF i get into more than a 1 on 1 game, the controls go right out the window and i just wander around the room with no control whatsoever. by the time my processor catches up with 5 or 6 people running around, the controls i am hitting is for where i was 2 or 3 seconds ago, which is why it looks so crazy.

i play 1 on 1, and i am fine (well i still stink but at least i'm getting credits in the 100-200 range now lol)

The next question on this game is about prefered control meathod. The directions recomend use of the arrow keys. I have found with this game and the others that the mouse works best for me. With the haunted Mansion you should rarely have to click but rather just watch the green arrow around the circle at the base. I have had luck even at work using this meathod. A slow processor or network definatly effects the scores. Any one else use the mouse? give it a try if not, see what you think.

I have heard of another way of racking up the points as well. In this method you may not win, but your ghost count will be very high.

Play alone against a team of four. Don't get all of your ghosts at first, let them float around and attack the other team. Once they have attacked an opposing player take care of it ;) . You will be the only one on your team catching the ghosts while the other team frantically takes all the ghost of their color away thus causing a lot more of your color to exist in the room at a time than the other team. It will allow you to really bring in the points.

As you may have noticed, this is difficult to explain. lol.

NJ Mike, I have to try that method! It sounds efficient! ;)

(I have to give credit to mbike, as he is the one who informed me with the way I have explained  )

LOL, Mike, I love the way you think. My gaming skill is just the pits I guess, since I didn't think of that. But I did actually win in a game of 1 on 3, with me by myself on a team. And here I was thinking, “Hey I'm good at this game, better then these three bozos”; when all the time it was the fact there were just less people in the game. LOL

I will definitely not play with a group of people. I have no control at all with a full house of ghost hunters. I don't mind losing from lack of skill, but lack of control yesterday had me in tears. I was just screaming MOVE at the computer the whole time.

Well, my papa always used to say "give your hardest job to your laziest worker and he will find an easier way to do it".....not sure what that has to do with me, but i digress. ;) :rotfl2:

I'll play with you :)
I find the game to stressfull when I play 4 on 4 games. I just can't move where I want.
Anyone wants to play 1 on 1 just find me :)

I did that the first day and ny mouse moved BOTH charachters! LOL I got the win, plus points, and also got points on the other chartachter!

I like that one - I'll have to try it out at work ..

Yesterday, I found that I was way too efficient cleaning up ghosts, that
there were WAY too many of the opposite color just gunning for me!

I had to shake up a few coffins and suck up the ghosties of my color.
We won the game. :)

You don't even have to exit, you can boot people off your game! :rotfl2:

lol! Too bad I can't do the two window thing :( Would be cool! I'm actually pretty good at the game. My daughter and I beat the pants off of SorcMickey and RicksCafe today! ;)

hehe yeah it took me a while to discover the ol' pirate "get the heck out of my game" button was in the mansion game too.

Thanks to tigress for playing with me tonight, i got booted right after i collected my winning credits. ;) That was one close game. i think i am done trying for the night, takes too long to get a game going. This morning it was fairly easy, so i'll have to flip-flop my schedule to play in the am and do other stuff at night. :teeth:

vmk "says" their servers are fine and have never been a problem, well if that is so then increase the number of mansion games running at any given time to alleviate some of the waiting..............unless..............of course...........the servers could not handle it. ;)
