I felt like a crazy disney planner when i called

This thread is so funny! I've only called twice for my trip in November, but I still always feel a little strange admiting to someone that I have planned out a week of my life to the minute, including what I'll eat, 6 months in advance. Friends and family think I'm kinda crazy, so it's so comforting to know I'm not the only one out there who does it! Everyone on DIS must be the designated "planners" of the family. I'm so glad we have this board to serve as our support group!

...as the rest of you. :rotfl:

I made multiple reservations (since I don't really know what I'm doing, and I'm planning a trip for 10 family members, and it is the first time for many and the first time in 20+ years for the rest of us) using different names of people in our group. I wasn't for sure if the CM's would "lay down the law" if I tried to book more than one reservation for the same time under my name. :rolleyes1

I did the same exact thing when I was planning our trip for last January. I made and cancelled a reservation at every single resort several times over during the 6 months prior to our trip. I felt the same way as what you are saying. But now that its over and done with, WHO CARES WHAT THEY THINK - it is the fact that people are calling their phone number is why they have a JOB. So go ahead and call your fool head off all you want and have fun doing it!!

Oh man they must really think I'm nuts. I have called multiple times and changed probably 5-6 differents adr's.

Thanks for the toll free. HMMMMM wonder why they don't post that number somewhere. I don't have long distance on my phone at home just cell phone nights and weekends so I ended up buying a calling card just for my disney planning. Can you believe I have already used up over 150 minutes and I haven't had much hold time.

I keep thinking that I'll probably change my adr times again as I really go through and start planning out the days. Right now I have only gotten to what park were in that day. I haven't looked at parade times etc yet although I think I've scheduled around them. Then I keep thinking that if we nap in the afternoon we'll want to eat later when we stay out later so I've probably got more switching to do.

I guess I should send them my photo and some darts now.

:rotfl2: LOL! isn't there more to disney than just retaurants, food, and ADRs? :rotfl2:

DH doesn't think so. He thinks of the restaurants first with a few rides thrown in for good measure. But whatever it takes to get him to indulge my obsession. :woohoo:

Sssshhh...there is another HOT thread right now over this topic. It has gotten rather unpleasant...People calling strangers names over the internet over multiple ADR's...its really way, way too much.

you know....this is exactly VERBATEM what my DBFF said to me when I got delerious with the ADR planning (all set now...I think ;) ). I was asking her questions about food and restaurants over the phone and cracking up with laughter! She goes, "why are you laughing?!"
me: "Lauren, I can't do it anymore!! All I can think of is food! I am dreaming about calling for ADRs!" (all the while laughing)
Lauren(DBFF): "Are you okay?! Why are you still laughing!?"
Me (still laughing):"I can't stop now!! I have cracked!! I can't decide on breakfast for Sept. 22...I don't know what to choose! I don't know where we should go? Where do you want to go? We've covered all our essentials! I don't know what to do?! What if I can't get breakfast anywhere?! Oh No!!! (still laughing)"
Lauren:"isn't there more to Disney than food?"

I have since recovered!
