I called to make yet another change to my ADR's. Well i have called so many times i cant even count. The cm started to tell me I have like 3 different reservations on the same day more than one time (I felt horrible). I cancelled those, I promise (no flames) but i guess the cm's I talked to never did it or it did not take in the system. She also told me that they have a list of all reservations made and cancelled. She started to read them to me :guilty: :guilty: She must have thought i was crazy :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Some days I have booked and rebooked like 7 times! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

She tried to make me feel better though by saying its understandable because i have a family (and she paused maybe to look) and said of 3!! not 12 where everyone might be picky, 3!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I dont think i can call again as i now know they have each and every change in the system, these people must think i am nuts. :rotfl2:

been there... done that... still making changes here and there... I don't think they mind...

I do call center work and that's what we like to call "Job Security"

the more you call in the more work they have so that they don't get downsized (that's what we always worry about)

Don't feel bad, I changed my reservations more times than I can count. This will be my first time so I want it perfect. I went through my travel agent, and she totally understands, but I'm sure many people have done the same thing. I get to leave in 45days, so I will see if the many changes I made are for the best. Good luck with yours! :sunny:

I'm in the same situation as you. I called to make a change and the CM said, "Boy, you have a lot of reservations. ... Oh ... lots of these are canceled."

I felt the same way.

I figured they would say something to me yesterday. I made previous reservations for the older boys in my group for Ragland Road for 6:30. The more I read about the show, I thought I'd mention it to them. They are interested, but not sure. So I called and made them an additional ressie, same night, same name at 7:30, figuring that gives them time to be seated and have a full TS dinner and catch the show. I'm assuming they can move to a bar area seat if need be, after they finish eating.

So they have 2 reservations. I just told them to let me know as early as possible that day what time they want to go and I'll cancel the other one.

I think most of us DISers are guilty of calling Disney Dining about 3 bajillion times before the trip actually happens! I know I've called 34868237648723 times so far and my trip is still 93 days out! Just wait till I get to crunch time! I call and confirm everything and make sure everything is right and change things around and ask for certain spots and ask menu questions...however I did have a first yesterday, I told the CM I wanted to make some changes to my ADRs and she didn't know what ADRs were!! She then proceeded to tell me she thought it was "tacky" that I was making my own birthday dinner reservations! I wasn't overly impressed but oh well, some people just don't understand the magic! :) In anycase, I wouldn't feel nutty at all, I feel giddy with delight when I hear the operator say "thanks for calling Disney Dining, to continue in English please press 1" ;)

How rude! If I didn't plan it it would happen. As long as you don't throw your own surprise party it's all good! :bday:

I swear, the good folks at Dining Reservations must have my picture over top of a dart board somewhere in their office. I have canceled and remade each of my dinning ressies for my next trip at least once... and I still have 3 months to go.

I just called to confirm some of mine and make a few cancellations.. the woman was so nice to me, but I think I'm approaching that point where they're going to think I'm nutty if I keep calling :)

Whew!
All that making ressies, cancelling, and making new ressies sounds exhausting!
(And possibly expensive ... I just hope ya'll are using your unlimited cell phone minutes or the toll-free number to call and not racking up high long distance bills!)
The toll-free number is 1-800-828-0228.
Have fun!

Try it for a Grand Gathering ...

Our next trip started out with just four of use. Then it was eight of us. Oops, add another. We promise this is the last time ... add another one.

Of course we started out with ADRs for 4; then 8,; make that 9; ok, ten!

Everyone was happy; everyone wiped their brows and sighed with relief ... then I had to change the ADRs ... AGAIN. Don't they realize how hard it is to even get an ADR for 10 people - mush less at the time you want!?!

Never again!

btw - there are still a couple of last minute hold outs :headache:

It's tough being The One Who Plans. They're all insulated from the "press 1 to continue in English" and the calling at 4:00 AM (we live in the West) to get ADRs for Thanksgiving Day. They want to be "spontaneous". And don't even get me started on the picky eaters. (Is there anyplace you can get tofu???)

We're going on our own this year.

Oh No. I had no idea they saved all of the cancellations, changes, etc. So now there is a record of my madness. Maybe I'll try to space my calls out to no more than 1-2 per week.

lol :) . Thanks.

I have optimum voice. Phone service through my cable company. They also provide my internet service. I have free long distance within the US, If i didnt my bill would be through the roof as i did not know about the 800 number initially.

Been there done that! It's not bad when your adding, but when your canceling!! Plus I'm there for 16 nights. Imagine how many ADR's I have in the first place without counting the cancellations. I KNOW they think I'm crazy.

You and me must have gotten the same person! I called to confirm my ADR's and the lady said "Okay" as if it was weird that I called to confirm! I just wanted to make sure everything was correct and they were.

OMG:) I made my own birthday reservations too, but the cm was super. He said that he was going to roll out something special just for my birthday. At the grand time of nine o'clock they were going to put on special fireworks just for me (Illuminations) lol. I just cracked up. :rotfl2:

I had no clue they kept track of what you have cancelled, I figured it would fall off the system!!
:rotfl:
I am guitly of making changes occasionally!
But I always find that the Dining CM's are always nice and helpful. I've gotten a few that told me about things I had no clue about! ::yes:: Which lead to more ADR's!! :hyper: :rotfl2:
