I Feel So Out of It Because I Can Not Go to the Event

I feel so out of it. I sure wish I was going to the event. I want eggs at the breakfast too Nat and Jeff I would trade you a pin for the lanyard. I sure wish I was going to be a part of this whole thing. I might be able to trade for some flex pins.

So not only did I have to have surgery, and use up all my vacation time, and not have any vacation all summer long, but I can not go to the pin event, and all I get is to sit here and read about all the exciting things that are happening and will not even get to go and trade for flex pins.

I have to stop whinning here - would anyone like to start a whinning club. I could be president.

Sure, almost every year we go in August, but, noooooooo, this year I had to do something really different and vacation in June; who even knew what pin trading was!!!!!

But, maybe this will cheer you up--I've already started buying more flex pins so next time I meet you at a "Parkhopper Party", or some other party I can trade you for something else neat like what I got from you last Sunday!!

It's going to be so hard for me, knowing everyone is going to be having so much fun, but I know it must be harder for you, cause you know everybody much longer than me, and you've been trading much more than me; so I'll whine for me, but I'll whine louder for you!!!

We can make up a theme song. I will work on it. Think of the bright side. We behinders will get to hog the boards and post whatever we want. We can cheer ourselves up with imaginary trades and drink in the virtual treats. No lines for us. I know that I wouldn't be trading much anyway and I only like two pins so far. Lets work on getting a motto and a theme song. I will post what I think of. At least there are three whiner members.

Wow Lauri,

I should have known you would not let us "stay-at-homers" down. That is so great of you to think of us.

I am looking forward to that week now.

I will not be sweating - yeah - and will not be breaking out in welts - as I am alergic to the Sun - and I can sleep in - and enjoy all the adventures in my air conditioned office in my nice padded desk chair - and yes I can have eggs for breakfast and I can trade pins.

I guess it is all in how you look at it.

ONe time when my friend could not go to Disney World with us, we were going to take a cardboard life size picture of her - from the waist up - and we were going to take pictures of her flying in the plane, and doing Main Street, and eating at the restaurants - you get the picture - but it wound up that she was able to go. Maybe someone would like to take Cardboard Darlene - she would be a fun companion. She is awesome to trade with, and she does not cost anything and she sleeps on the floor. You never hear a word out of her and she does not shop. Wow she is a much better person then I am.

So Lauri, as I will be home, if you need any assistance, let me know.

If everyone would wear my birthday pin - that would sort of like a piece of me being there - that would be cool.

......you don't really have to do anything, unless the President doesn't show up (isn't that how most clubs usually get people to run for "vice-president"?)So, Darlene, you have to show up, and keep whining--even if it's just a little. I know, it's not just about the pins, 'cause my son already pointed out it will be much cheaper just to buy all the pins that come out off of e-bay, than come up with the money for the trip! It's really about fun and Disney and friends! Oh, no! Whine, whine, whine!!!

Okay, now on to our theme song--how come all song titles have instantly flown right out of my head! (Of course that happens all the time!)

It is wonderful.

This is fun when we pull all together like this and guess what, I now know that I will not be alone sitting at the computer and wishing I was in Disney World.
