Congratulations SSWendy on your booking -- we stayed during June this year. It was Florida hot, but the AC inside was just fine. Some other points...
*"You will want to bring that Master Bathroom home with you!
You will LOVE them! Congrats!"
-- couldn't agree more with Cee, the master bathroom was my absolute favorite part of the experience.
*"I'm afraid it's gonna be a CROWDED treehouse!! We will be at capacity! 9 of us cramming in there!! I hope it's still magical even with us being on top of each other!! "
-- it might be a little bit of an issue with 9. It was just my wife, myself and DD3 and DS1.5, so we had quite a bit of space. Managing with two bathrooms may be a bit of a challenge -- though if your house is like ours, both bathrooms will be nicer and larger than the ones you have at home.
*"I noticed the 2 times we stayed at SSR that always seemed to be THV buses around so that's great! We stayed in the building at the grandstand right next to the pathway for the THV. I'm thinking if you have a treehouse close to the grandstand you could skip the internal bus and just walk to the grandstand bus stop right?"
-- Both are good options. We had a car, so we didn't use the bus, but it seemed as though every time we returned "home" between 8 and 11 pm, at least one bus passed by in the 5-10 mins it took me to get kids and stuff out of the car and upstairs. Used the walking trail a couple of times, and its about a 5-10 min walk to grandstand, depending on your location. Transport w/o a car would be the biggest disadvantage to THV, I think. It is really neat at night to settle into a luxuriously appointed cabin in the woods WITH public transportation.
Other thoughts...
*The rooms are VERY dark -- with curtains drawn, you will not know that there is bright sunshine outside. Even with curtains drawn in living area, bedrooms will still be dark. You'll learn where light switches are quickly...
*Be careful of the bedposts, particularly in the master bedroom. They jut out from the bed. It took about three or four ouches

for me to learn to give the beds some extra space.
*The bunk bed will be a great hit with kids -- our DD3 called it her "pirate ship" and loved it. No whining about going to bed on the trip!

(Just noticed Bouncycat mentioned this feature first!)
*Someone mentioned privacy -- this is something of an issue. We were in 7044, which is in a group from 7041-44. With windows curtains open at night, you're living area is pretty much a stage for anyone who'd happen to be walking nearby.
*One last little quirk -- be prepared to use both hands to use your KTTW to open your door. The keycard readers have covers, presumably to keep out tree debris and such, but they make it nearly impossible to lift the cover and slide in your keycard quickly enough for the reader to read.
Don't worry about some of the quirks I mentioned above -- if you're comfortable with Disney transport or have a car, you'll absolutely love staying at THV. Enjoy the magic in the woods!
