I don't want to drive to work today. I live in the desert and the wind is blowing over 40 miles an hour. You can't see a thing out there. I have to drive over 45 minutes in this mess. On little two lane roads ugh... I have already lost power about six times this morning. Do you think thats a sign I should just stay home?

If it's that dangerous, perhaps you should call in to work and tell them you will be there when the wind stops. I know exactly what you are describing and it's very dangerous to drive in those conditions. Stay safe.

It sounds like a sign to me! But then again, the fact that the sun rises in the east is a sign to stay home...

If you do go in, please be careful!

Wish I could call in but, I am the one opening the store today. The manager is out of town. I am next in line. If I don't show up no one can get into the store.

I'm trying to imagine what a 40-mph sandstorm would do to a car's paint job. It can't be pretty.

I'd call in "sick." No one will show up at the store anyway.

I lived in Phoenix for many years, and just wanted to say I'm so sorry you are having a wind storm. I know how scary it is to drive in the "wall of sand" on the highway.

Well I am off to work. Keeping my fingers crossed.

You be careful!!!
