I spent some time searching the boards and could not find an answer.

I've been to Disney World before, with my parents. Now I'm 22 and want to go, but no one I know is available to go with me.

I don't have a real outgoing personality, and it took me longer than average to become independent. I'm shy. Friendly, but shy. I do activities alone where I live and its always boring. Boring or relaxing, but never would I call it fun.

If I was with someone it would be fun. But on the other hand, I'm an introvert, so being around people too much of the time can be really draining.

Whats a girl to do? I wish there was some group I could vacation with. But there isn't, right?

Thats what I want to know, is there a group I can vacation with?

I know there are group vacations for like Thailand, Hawaii, and so on, but I've never seen a Disney group tour vacation.

Thank you for your time!!

You can always head there when one of the DISboard meets are happening. I know a singles Facebook group that is having a meet in.. early October? I'm somewhat local... I'm willing to hang out at least a bit when my work schedule agrees. (It takes me over an hour to get there.)

When I was last in WDW I actually went to a Dis unplugged get together. I was 17, and the room seemed to be filled with much older people who all seemed to know each other. I didn't stay long.

I also checked out that facebook page. There was no info on the page and just 2 Likes.

there are allot of things to do at wdw you can interact with cast members or street performers at dhs i deal with people all day long between 50-100 and I'm still shy i do belong to single who loves all things disney on face book they are a good group to join don't let the shyness ruin your vacation you get to do what you want to do eat where want to talk to people waiting in line some lady starting talking to me on the bus some how we started talking about the bus driver jerking the bus I'm a bus driver so i explain the 2 braking system on a bus and why the bus was jerking just say hello to cast members it helps have a great vacation

The 2 biggest suggestions I can make if you really don't want to have a solo vacation, would be to either:

1. Find a friend who might be willing to go with you. (I've done this a few times... sometimes by agreeing to help cover their costs, even if it's just covering the cost of the place to stay)

or

2. Make some friends here on the DIS or other Disney groups and then try and schedule your trip when that group (or your online disney friends) are planning to go down. You can then have your solo trip, but know that people you know are going to be down there too who you can meet up with.

There are also the occasional regional DISmeets when DIS folk get together closer to home (non-disney trips), so depending on where you live, you might be able to get to know some other Disney fans in person that way.

(i'd suggest even just finding a general meet that's already scheduled and jumping right in.... but as a shy person it can sometimes be harder to feel a part of that group since a lot of DISmeets involve people who know each other already pretty well thru these boards and previous meets, and while they are usually open and inviting for new people, it does take a bit more effort for you to introduce yourself and jump into the conversation than some shyer people are comfortable with.)

I've made some great friends from this board. Go solo, and plan on meeting with people there. If you don't like them, then move on. Your bound to meet someone you like from here!

if you add your location to your profile, you might find that you will make friends from your home state more easily
