Enough with the martyr complex. Not once have I called you a name. Not once have I done anything other than analyze your own statements. If those statements cannot stand scrutiny (which they clearly cannot), that's not my failing but yours.

No, he has been clear throughout his presidency that he wants to alter the environment which nourishes, shelters and supports terrorism. When freedom extends into those societies, there will be little that will support terrorism.

You can't win the war on terror in the 'traditional' sense and that is what he meant.
Interestingly enough a commentator from NPR (hardly a bastion of conservative thought) said the comment, even taken out of context will not hurt President Bush. She said that no American would believe that the president doesn't think he can win the war. They would all believe that he misspoke. If the Kerry campaign glomned on to this, its too little, too late.
