I saw people JOGGING in Maui on the path I walked every day, in 85-90 degree temps, wearing long sleeves.

DH wear's long sleeve's in the summer. He says it is always freezing in the hospital where he works. I been there in shorts and sleeveless shirt, and he is right, I froze. Got me a hospital blanky to keep warm while he had his tests done.

My Ex wears long sleeves all yr, wjy you ask, he is so hairy that he is embarrassed to show his arms. I used to laugh at him, humid and 90 and arms covered. LOL So see Poop Duddym there is a reason LOL

say will make a sun burn you twice as fast........but on the other hand they may work in an office with the ac up so high that your nose leaks icicles.......my husband wears a sweat shirt to work and then gets in the ac truck and cranks it up and then comes home and strips......so reason for people looking weird......

I wear sweatshirts, when inside, year round. I think my blood is too thin and it has to be above 80 for me to be ok. The thermostate is stuck in the low 70's.

My uncle was embarrassed by a bunch of tattoos on his arms in his later years and he always wore a long sleeved shirt......

I personally am skeered of "butt crack men" who insist on doing yard work, etc. and mooning me as I drive by!

So now we know you don't trust people who don't wear shirts at all, you don't trust people who wear long sleeves in 90 degree weather... I was going to say that everyone should make sure they are wearing short sleeves around you but then again, if it's winter and everyone is wearing short sleeves you probably wouldn't trust them either.

I also wear long sleeves year round when I am at work. Home and weekends are another matter entirely!

Face it, ties with short sleeves just don't look good...

Besides most of the plants that I worked at in the summer when in college required long sleeves (and it was HOT), so the habit just stuck.

LOL! I'll agree with that. Here in FL, you'll find people in sweatshirts and long pants if the temp is below 80.

My mother would agree with you, Pop Daddy! She was always very suspicious of people wearing long sleeves when it's hot (not counting business attire), claiming they must be hiding needle tracks!
And as someone who recently moved to FL, I had to laugh when I saw people wearing jackets and sweatshirts last night. "Brr! it is only 70-something!"
