I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

She enjoyed her ride. From now on, she will have to be happy watching her sisters ride.

There are regular horse rides up at the Front of Ft. Wilderness (Trail Blaze Corral) Brooklynn could still do :) I would be willing to bet they cost more than the pony rides ;) We watched a couple of kids being led around the corral while we were waiting for a bus one time.

The only thing that keeps us from trying a cabin is the one bathroom

I don't blame you! The cabins are great, but 2 bathrooms are really nice when you have more than 2 people sharing. The family suites or even 2 value rooms work out much better in that regard!

Thanks for the prayers, MeMom.
On my day off I did laundry and took DD15 shopping for pants. :scared: The only shopping I like doing is at Disney. :rotfl:
My DD18 and I had a stomach bug a couple weeks ago and the only thing we could keep down was crushed ice. Luckily it only lasted a day, next day we were totally fine. :confused3 A cousin suggested we got food poisoning but we hadn't eaten anything the same. I was glad that DGD didn't get it.
I love your pictures of the resorts, I need an extra week to do the things that I want that are outside of the parks. :rotfl2:

News flash: For those planning on the Dollywood DISmeet in June, there's a nice deal now on the hotel where we stayed last year, a place on the River in Pigeon Forge. I just saw king rooms still available for the weekend of June 22 at a very nice rate. Check out the daily deal sites. (Afraid to use hotel or site names in case the DIS thinks it's advertising.) We enjoyed the room, the view, & the breakfast buffet (included), and the front desk was very friendly & helpful. :thumbsup2
Now back to our regular Disney fun: MeMom, I hope those crackers are doing the trick. Always works for me when my tummy is funky. Crackers and sleep!

That is great that Brooklynn got one last ride on the horses before she is too big. And great that she got another Mickey bar (that her MeMom got to enjoy also).:)

:thumbsup2 for a MeMom sighting!! They are few & far between.

It is supposed to be below zero here in NH this week!!! Bbrrrrrr!!

I feel a bit warmer when I hear you guys talking about your cold places. I won't complain, but I sure will be happy to fast forward through February and get to some better temperatures for everyone.

Those sightings will remain few and far between, too. ::yes::

We ended up throwing away most of that popsicle. Brooklynn had already had her fill, and it's not my favorite popsicle. I like the ice cream, but the chocolate is a bit thick for me. If I had really thought it through, I might have offered it - still completely wrapped, of course - to a passerby. I thought Brooklynn would eat more than she did, but she was off to play when we reached the picnic table.

As always, you are in the know. We will have to check into the bigger horses in the future.

We keep opting for two values, because we get four beds and two baths for cheaper than a suite. So far, we have had no trouble getting connecting rooms. If that ever becomes an issue, we'll probably look more at the suites. As the girls get older, the connecting rooms won't be as big of an issue, but it is nice for them to have the extra space to roam around in now.

Thanks for the prayers, MeMom.

I still have a slight headache, and I am guessing a slight fever, as well, but I feel tons better than the past two days. I think one more good night's sleep should do it.

I think I could spend a week without going into a park, too. Downtown Disney could take one complete day by itself.

We have had to opt out of that, but if there are others who are still planning to meet, that is good news. It's always nice to know people with firsthand experience. We are hoping to have some DIS friends come to Nashville on July 6th. I hope some of them can try out the beautiful Opryland Hotel. :)

Crackers at lunch. I might get a teeny bit braver this evening. Or maybe I will give it one more evening, just to be sure. ;)

No snow day. It was literally a dusting. Oh well! We did already use up two emergency closings in October, for hurricane Sandy. Hoping for a snow day later in the week, or sometime, but not for anyone who doesn't want one. ;) I work through the summer, so I don't really have to make up days.

I don't know about the suites at AOA, but the suites at Music only have the one bed. The couch, chair and ottoman can be turned into beds. I have to say the ottoman and couch make very poor beds :sad2: I didn't try the chair, but Jackson slept in it with no problems. Then again, he could sleep anywhere when he's ready :) The kitchen was nice, but we only used it for coffee and the mini fridge. I'll probably stick with the two rooms myself unless I get more good deals renting points! The one bedroom villas are amazing!

What dates are you planning to go this year? I hope to eat at O'hana's as well!

Hope you are feeling better!!:)

Just popping in before bed. Hope you are feeling better Memom!

I enjoy Pinocchio’s. I get the Caesar salad every time.
COP is so much fun. Love it.
Brooklynn looked like she was about to pass out on the Peoplemover. LOl
Nice Dismeet.
Nice ELP pics.
Happy New Year. I am just passing that date.
The lifeguard pic at POP makes me wonder why they do it the way they do.
I love the art of the beach. I want that so badly.
Looks like fun times at DTD.
I love taking the boats at Disney. So relaxing.
OKW is gorgeous. Oh hey I am a DVC owner. LOL. Unfortunately out of points till next year.
VWL is also gorgeous and would love to stay there one day.
Ooh another boat ride. This is my kind of day.
That was nice of Anita and Marc to take Brooklynn.
I love that they play movies outside. Such a nice experience.
You should definitely do the “Behind the Seeds Tour”. Cheap and very fun.
Great photos of AofA.
Ooh nice transportation cards.
AKL is another gorgeous place which I have had the honor of staying at. We might be doing it again in December.
Nice face painting she had done.
Again CBR is also gorgeous. LOL.
Your plans for March sound great and celebrate extra on the 21st as it is my birthday.
WOW! You have that planned. We just go with the flow now. It is probably why we don’t see that much. LOl
Really nice merch at CBR.
The carts at Fort Wilderness make me laugh. So many of them.
That was a fun parade to see. I loved the ones with dogs.
Nice Disney plans coming up.
Great pics of the horse area. I have never seen it before.
And I am now caught up. I was so far behind.

You guys are made of hardy stuff up there to survive through the cold. Stay warm and safe!

I used to work through the summer, too, as I did summer camps all summer, except for church camp weeks. Now, in my old age, I am happy to have some real time off.

So far, we haven't particularly had the need for a kitchenette. The addition of the refrigerators has been a big help, but we don't really need to pay extra for a suite/kitchen, at this point. Two values work for us, and is the cheapest option. :goodvibes I am interested in staying in AoA and Music suites someday just because, though.

The Art of Animation suites have the table that folds down Murphy bed style, and so far I have not read negative reviews of the comfort level. We will keep our eyes and ears open for those who have personal experience. It helps other people as they plan future trips. :)

What dates are you planning to go this year? I hope to eat at O'hana's as well!

Hope you are feeling better!!:)

Dates for Christmas? December 25th through January 3rd, as it stands now.

Just popping in before bed. Hope you are feeling better Memom!

Somewhat. I tried to eat a sandwich last night. It wasn't the wisest choice I made all day. I have faith that last night's good sleep pushed me through to better things today! :thumbsup2 I slept from 9:30 something to 3:02 without waking up! That is rare stuff!!! :cool1: Jill was planning to get to bed early and get some good sleep, too, so I am hoping that happened for and helped her, as well.

I enjoy Pinocchios. I get the Caesar salad every time.

My goodness! You did do a lot of catching up!

I bet you'll get that Beach Club print someday. You need a Beach Clun sunroom in your NY place.

What about the lifeguard? I don't recall what you are talking about, and I don't have time to scroll back through pictures. Refresh my memory.

Maybe you'll see the golf cart parade on a July 4th in the future.

When I see your resort pics, I'm amazed at just how different each one is. Fort Wilderness has a completely different feel! I think that'd be such a fun place to visit especially since you said the stables are super clean!

I love the chocolate-lathered Brooklynn photo. That should be in a Disney advertisement! :goodvibes

I'm glad she snuck one of her MeMom too.

Just a dusting here, too. There was snow in the forecast for Friday, but I noticed they took it out! Yeah!! It's chilly here, but its worse back in MI and for Brendan at Valpo! Last day still the 17th.

I've quit believing what they say about snow! I'm okay with no snow on Friday (we had that forecast, too.) I'm just glad it's nothing like the winter a couple years ago, 2010-2011, when we were getting slammed with snow every week!

It stinks mostly because I think my toddlers are going stir-crazy not being able to get outside for part of the day (we aren't allowed to go out if it's below 32.) Definitely looking forward to that Florida sunshine!

I really need to find a day to fully explore the Fort.

Brooklynn took a great picture Memom. so good to see you.

Sorry you are sick and I hope that icky continues to go away.

I worked MLK. It was quiet and and I got extra pay so all is good. :goodvibes

I will secure a room for NYE in a few days - Probably Dec 28 or 29 - Jan 4.

:cool1:

Oh this update has me wanting to get to the Fort badly! I wonder how long the campsites are decorated for the holidays, I'd love to get over there and see it but am not sure how to fit it in before NYE and wonder how late they stay up past that?

How wonderful that Brooklynn got to ride a pony, eat a Mickey bar and then get a do over on one! That would make me want to swing too :goodvibes

What a wonderful update.

Feel better!!!

I know! We can be world travelers w/o traveling the world - so many different places and themes! :thumbsup2

Yes, those stables are super clean. ::yes::

I'm glad she snuck one of her MeMom too.

She looked like maybe she was going to get a good start on that second bar, but the playground changed that.

We had our coldest day this week already.

I'm still eating very lightly, as in almost nothing, but that's a good thing. Maybe I will lose an ounce of weight in all this.

Trent and whoever comes with him plan to start driving down Friday night, and they will get there Saturday, the 28th.

I'm sure some campsites keep decorations up through the first week of January or so, as the parks do.

I ate a biscuit this morning, and I looked at your trip report and did fine with all those food pictures. ;)

I think those are the dates I'm going to try for. I have to check out the pionts!! LOL!!

Where is your home resort Pat?

I made our reservations last weekend. The price of the rooms went down drastically on our last night. Kinda hurts to look at it when it's your last night, but it would be a joy if it was the beginning. Unfortunately, we have to get back to school in the early days of January. Lucky are those who can go during the first weeks of January. :goodvibes

So, is 'Ohana a go for everyone on 12/31, or are some people doing Epcot? I think our group will be doing 'Ohana and Poly beach.

I have BCV and SSR but will be booking BCV. When I bought in the SSR appealed to me for a treehouse and now the increased points put a damper on that but as popular as they are i still see it as a possibility someday

Oooooh, Pat, let's have a treehouse party! :jumping1:
