I Don't Know, I Don't Speak Wind!!

Loving the pictures so far MeMom! New Fantasyland is really exceeding my expectations so far! Voyage of the Little Mermaid looks so pretty and I'm so glad Ariel doesn't have that weird soft-serve up-do anymore, it looks a lot better just floating behind her. And BatB village looks awesome as well. Did you guys ever meet Gaston btw? Brooklynn and Bella are as cute as ever! Love the t-shirts!

It all looks very cool. The only negative we saw is that the queue to see Ariel is going to get very hot in the summer. As you wind around through the cave, there is no air circulating, and even on our October morning, it got warm and stuffy. There are some cool light fixtures that could have easily been made into fans that would have helped. Other than that negative, everything else was wonderful.

We had not met Gaston before. We had seen pictures of him meeting and greeting, but we had not met him before this.

The t-shirts were sewn by a sweet DIS friend. Thanks, Cathy!

Finally caught up! I'm new around here but I'm loving reading about Disney trips when I can't be there myself! :) I've really enjoyed reading yours, thank you for posting so many pictures! I think it's awesome how there is a place where complete strangers can become friends because of their love for Disney.

Glad you are enjoying the pictures. I have about 2400 new ones to share in the future.

We have made many new friends through the DIS. ::yes::

Glad you had a great trip. When were you guys planning on going to Vero? We have been thinking about going over the summer as well. The pictures of Fantasyland are amazing. I'm so glad you guys got to experience it. We leave in 11 days and I am hoping that we'll be able to experience it as well, but I heard that it will be for cast members only for the next few weeks.

We heard from several cast members that they had to sign up to see it in a couple of weeks. They acted pretty jealous that we had gotten to see it before them. ;)

I will have to look at the Vero dates. It's the week that includes the late teens of June. Then we're going to Dollywood on that Saturday for another hopefully big DIS meet.

It was great meeting you and Jill last week at the bus stop! I'm glad you all had a wonderful trip. We are also back home now, trying to get back to the real world.

We are so glad you came over to the bus stop! :cool1: Hope you had a great time. The weather was wonderful wasn't it? :thumbsup2 Real world starts for me this morning. :crazy2:

Welcome back!

Thanks for the amazing pictures. I can't wait for my trip now so I can see it all in person. :goodvibes

You will like it. On the day we were there, it was spotlessly clean and smelled brand new. It was definitely cool to be there and see it all before we left.

Welcome back! Glad to hear you had a glorious time.

Oh my! I LOVE the new Fantasyland pics! Thank you so much for sharing them! :goodvibes

I will sleep well tonight while dreaming of being under the sea with Ariel.

Nice to have you back. :)

I told Jill that we need to have to have a Little Mermaid Christmas theme, since this has been the Year of Ariel - Sophie's nursery, our Art of Animation room, Bella's birthday, and now getting to ride the ride and see Ariel back under the sea again. ::yes::

The weather was perfect! I had stressed over it raining on our MNSSHP night, since it was our first one and I had read about it raining so much the weeks prior. But it was absolutely lovely! We watched the outdoor movie on Friday (Cinderella) and the weather was comfortable with just a little chill.

I think you all will enjoy Sea World. It is definitely different, but seeing those animals so close is quite impressive. If you have any questions about it, let me know. We were visiting with 2 DD's - 5 and 2, so interests might be quite close.

Can't wait to see new Fantasyland next week! That is so cool that you guys got to be there on the first day! Thank you for sharing! :thumbsup2

Welcome home!

So excited for you all that you got to experience the new Fantasyland! Those pictures are great!! Can't wait to see it for myself in a couple months!

We were able to spread a little Disney magic for some friends of our own Stasieki. They are going through some really tough times, so it was nice to have the opportunity to bless them in a small way.

Memom and Jill... I can't thank you enough for making Tracy's trip so magical by all the surprises you left for her and her daughter and nephew.

I can't recall if I've posted her story on any of your Trip Reports so I'll briefly let your readers know. Tracy has been battling stage IV breast cancer, and then brain tumors, and now the cancer is back with a vegence. This all began when her daughter was an infant. Her husband is military and has been on two tours in Afganistan (both cancer diagnosis bringing him back on compassion leave). She is such a strong fighter and will fight every day. Her daughter just started Kindergarten and this was thier first trip to Disney, very quickly planned. She had to use a wheelchair a lot but it didn't slow them down one bit. Tracy is such an inspiration on how to never give up.

I think they now get how Disney bonds us after your sweet surprise left for them at thier hotel (once they figured out who did it. Haha). They created such special memories and also got to enjoy the new Fantasyland. I've only seen pictures and we've texted as she's busy trying to get back to reality but we have a "phone date" later today::yes::

She gave me permission to share this picture with you all.

Oh, I meant did you meet him this time? Since all you have is a picture of him from far away by himself.

:hug:Prayers for Tracy. I cannot imagine what she is going through. I am so happy to hear they made it to WDW & am praying she beats this awful cancer again.

MeMom & Jill & family-so glad you all had a wonderful trip. It was great following along on FB & MeMom you made my day with the picture you sent. Thank you. Welcome back! I know returning to the real world is tough, but I'm glad to hear that you had such a wonderful trip!

Thank you also for the preview pictures of New Fantasyland! I'm so glad you guys had the chance to experience it! I especially love the picture of Gaston! My DS loves him, and hopefully we'll get the chance to meet him in April. I love how he is just standing and posting outside of his Tavern, that just so Gaston! :rotfl2:

My prayers are sent to Tracy and her family....I'm so glad she had a wonderful trip made extra special by some very sweet DISFriends.

:yay: sunnystace....you have only 9 sleeps to go!!! Your's in single digits!!! :yay:

An Ariel Christmas sounds perfect! :santa: Did you pick up any ornaments this trip?

Welcome back! Love the pictures of new Fantasyland. It looks so cool and so detailed!! I am hoping to explore it live and in person later this week! :yay:

Sounds like it was another magical trip and I'm looking forward to hearing all about it in another fantastic Memom & Jill TR. :goodvibes

So nice of you to take some time to help Stasieki sprinkle some pixie dust on her friend's trip. Prayers for Tracy and her family. That picture of her and her daughter is beautiful. I can tell they had a magical time! pixiedust:

I really :lovestruc DIS town. :goodvibes

Sounds like a fun trip. So glad you were able to enjoy yourselves and spread some pixie dust, too!:wizard:princess:

Welcome back!!! New Fantasyland looks so cool! I can't wait to hear all about your trip! :goodvibes

I think I need one more good night's sleep to feel fully back to normal. I am always zapped when I get back from Disney World. Even if I have rest times, I still don't sleep well.

Fantasyland was cool. One of the teachers at my school is going to WDW in January, and she was so excited to hear about it. She hasn't been since she was a teenager. I have to admit that I was jealous knowing that she was going to get to see it all before I did, but now that we got to see it, my jealousy has disappeared! ;)

The last time I was at Sea World was about 25 years ago! Jill and Trent were little. We'd love input on what to do and see with the girls! ::yes::

The kids swam nearly every day on this trip, but a few times they were chilly when they got out of the water. The days were nice and warm, but the nights did get a little cool for swimming.

Can't wait to see new Fantasyland next week! That is so cool that you guys got to be there on the first day! Thank you for sharing! :thumbsup2

We were thrilled, and we are happy to share the fun!

I said I would be okay not going back at Christmas, right? Keep reminding me of that.

Thanks for all the pictures of the new area. I can't wait for our January family 60th birthday trip to arrive.:goodvibes

Yay for your special trip!:dance3:

I know that your friend is a wonderful and special lady. I hate that she is going through this trial. I hope WDW put a lot of happiness into all of their lives for a few carefree days.

I love the new Fantasyland pictures. Can't wait to see it some day. Looking forward to hearing all about your trip.

Will you go next spring to help your daughter get home for the summer?

Oh, I meant did you meet him this time? Since all you have is a picture of him from far away by himself.

Yes, the girls had their pictures made with him, and I had a short conversation with him.

:hug:Prayers for Tracy. I cannot imagine what she is going through. I am so happy to hear they made it to WDW & am praying she beats this awful cancer again.

I will be okay for a few weeks, but the first morning that there is ice on my windshield, I will be begging for palm trees and sunshine!

We got them a picture frame, so hopefully they will have just the right happy picture to put in it. :thumbsup2

Memom and Jill--Glad you had a great trip!! Can't wait to hear all about it and see more pics!!

Hey, Elena!
We're anxious to share, but we have to finish the summer stuff first, and there is still a long way to go on that. I'll need the October trip to bring me happiness through the winter, too.

He was quite full of himself. The cast members wanted him to wander and not have a line, which was rather odd.

I looked, but I didn't buy. I may get a few generic tropical/under the sea ornaments for a small tree or something. I looked at the little hat ornaments, but they were $20 each or 3 for $50, and that's a lot. They are sure cute, though! I will probably enlarge some pictures on roll paper and just add some Little Mermaid stuff around the room. We don't celebrate big, anyway, and the best room in the house for decorating and gathering is the one I don't heat in the winter until people are here, so spending a lot to decorate a room that is hardly used would be pointless.

DIS town is a pretty cool place to be, isn't it? We enjoyed seeing so many friends from the neighborhood. :goodvibes

I hope you get in on a soft opening day. I heard they are closing back up and opening only for cast members soon, but who knows?

Sounds like a fun trip. So glad you were able to enjoy yourselves and spread some pixie dust, too!:wizard:princess:

It was certainly a pleasure to do that small thing, and we are honored that stasieki let us in on it. :)

Is there a specific ear hat ornament you'd like? We were at the Disney outlet this weekend and they had some for $9.99. I'm not sure when we'll be back down there, but if they still have them, I can pick some up :) I thought they were pricey at $9.99! I remember they had Sorcerer Mickey and the 40th anniversary of Magic Kingdom for sure. There were probably 10 other kinds, I just don't remember what else they had.

That sounds very tempting. I could do a few at that price and feel okay about it. Actually, both of those sound perfect, as Sorceror Mickey was Sophie's first character to see. I meant to get a SM pin, but I didn't, so I'll do that in March. I can send you my number and let you text me which ones they have, if you wouldn't mind. I could go ahead and send a check (or PayPal) for the first two, and then I could send a follow-up one if I decided to get one or two more. Would that work?

We have to get to the outlet stores down there, too. Anita and Marc are always getting great deals! I need to drop by our Disney Store here, too, and see if they have some, by chance. Maybe I can do that within the next few days, and then I can let you know about getting any from down there. I can see them having Sorceror Mickey here, maybe, but I doubt they'd have the 40th MK one.

That would be fine. I don't know when I'll be back down there, it could be a month or more, but I'm happy to text you your options then. We can settle up after I get them, just in case they sell out before I make it back down. I remembered this morning they had Dumbo too.
