If you're not planning on attending the EMH, you should definitely avoid that park. After all, you're getting all of the crowds but none of the benefit.
If you are attending the EMH, I've still found it beneficial to go for EMH, stay for a couple of hours afterwards, then switch parks around lunch time. That way you can enjoy the EMH without having to deal with all of the leftover crowds.
We plan every day around morning and evening EMH's ..but we do not stay at that park all day. So, if you go to the morning EMH's leave that park by noon, because that park will often be very crowded. We then go back to our hotel room, take a nap and go back out after 5-6pm to enjoy late EMH's at whatever park is having them....again missing the bulk of the crowds....alway enjoy EMH's ...they are the BEST
There are many people who do the parks all day, and don't hop. Those people should avoid the EMH park. I like to park hop so I try to at least do morning EMH.
I think the advice to stay away from EMH parks is too general. AM EMH are always a good bet, in my opinion. And if you can stay late, the PM ones are okay too. Also depends on what time of year you're visiting. If it's a slower time of the year, the PM EMHs are great.
I've been wondering if the change to the MYW tickets has made EMH more crowded. It seems to me that a lot of people don't get the Park Hopper option. If so, they can't switch parks, right? I mean, if you want to to to an evening EMH, you have to spend your day at the park with the EMH. So, if a good number of people w/o Park Hoppers want to attend the EMH that park will be crowded. Do I have it right? 'Cause that's why we always get hopping on our tickets.
the evening EMH are fine, cause most kids can't last after the 9pm fireworks and parades. As someone stated, if your not taking advantage of the AM EMH, then its pointless to go to that park which is going to be full of all the people who did. Im never up that early so I avoid those, but I always hop to the park with the evening EMH.
I can get my crew to a park by 9 am but not 8, so we tend to avoid EMH. I usually go to a park the day after they had EMH or EEH. I like to get to a park early and do major rides when they are walk-ons in combination with fastpass until lunch. Have a TS lunch in the park and then back to the resort for a nap and or swim and then do evenings at another park. I plan the mornings and wing it for the evenings.
I guess I don't understand this either. We have 5 days planned at the parks (3 MK, 1 AK, 1 Epcot). We won't be able to avoid an EMH day at MK or Epcot (we are not on property so will be there at reg open times). Certain sites such as undercover tourist tell which days are busiest and should be avoided. The 2 don't mesh. The days that are supposed to be Ok to visit are listed as EMH on the WDW website. Whose advice should I follow to make sure we get the most out of each day? Thanks for any help.
We go to Disney when the kids are out of school, typically we go in June and August. We take advantage of the AM EMH to beat the heat. Animal Kingdom Safari is much better in the early morning than in the afternoon and much cooler, you'll see more animals with less of them sleeping! Then we take a break from 1-4pm and return to the parks after the big heat of the day!
