have a kitchen!!!! I tried to boil eggs tonight. They weren't done!!!!! Good thing I tested one. Can I re-boil them to get them done? DD needs to take 2 to school tomorrow!

LOL. How long did you have them at a boil? I don't see why you shouldn't be able to just put them back in boiling water.

Shoot, re-boiling them doesn't seem to be working. I opened one and it was still runny. Maybe I'll let them boil for 10 more minutes and just make sure we don't eat them. LOL

you may have to start over..
put the eggs in a pan and cover them with water, put them on the heat until the water just starts boiling. Turn the heat off, cover the pan and let them sit for 15 minutes.

Do you have extra eggs? This is how I cook them...

put eggs in pot in cool water-- cover by one inch of water
bring to a boil
once boiling begins, remove from heat and cover
Let eggs sit covered for 20 minutes
Once 20 minutes are up, dump hot water and rinse eggs in cold water until they are cool

Don't feel bad - I have to ask DH everytime I want to boil some eggs! I think it's - put the eggs in the water, turn on the stove and it will take 8-9 minutes from the time the water starts boiling (not the little bubbles, but a rolling boil). It takes about 20-25 minutes total.

I can't cook unless its out of a box or following a recipie. At least I have a DH that likes to cook and is good at it!!

I dont' have any more eggs!!!! I'll call my granny in the morning and have her boil 2 for DD tomorrow and then I'll get her another dozen to boil to color for Easter.

Donna, I did almost that, but I didn't let them sit in hot water for 20 minute. I put them in cool water immediately. I suck in the kitchen!!!!
