We decided to book a cruise in September, and even before we got the quote from Dreams Unlimited, I booked a BWV studio for the night before. This is over Labor Day weekend, and I just checked resort availability, and even SSR does not have the night available in studio!

The quote came in acceptable to us, we're going on another DCL cruise!

HI Jean! How are things?
My fall girlfriend trip was planned last October, and we lucked out that we'll overlap the beginning of F&W and we get to go to a MNSSHP as well! Tom was fine with missing out on the trip, but he's feeling the need to be on a ship. He is not going on the Member Cruise with me, so, I am happy we found something to enjoy together.

So glad that you can enjoy the September cruise with Tom! We are keeping our fingers crossed that Bob stays healthy enough to do BWV in early October. So far so good. It must be the candles!

Mom had to have oral surgery on Friday, but it did what it was supposed to do, and she's feeling better. 96!

Bobbi...do you get a good deal with dreams unlimited? We keep holding out hope for some deals for DVC members for cruises. We really wanted to do the southern Carib. back in January, but the airfare to San Juan was the deal breaker (plus the time we wanted to go was the worst snowstorm in NJ...so guess karma was working for us). I've done the Nova Scotia from NYC deal in 2012 and the western and eastern carib. deals that were offered to DVC. Am now spoiled with the prices (and I need a veranda ocean view). I have never checked out dreams unlimited. Is it comparable to what we have been offered for "last minute" cruises as DVC members? Thanks in advance.

Dreams Unlimited gives on board credit. Prices are basically the same as DCL charges. Do you check the Cruise Board here, because the discounts are listed on a thread there when DCL offers them? From that thread, we have learned about "deals" and then booked with Dreams Unlimited.

We were able to go on that Southern Caribbean cruise that DVC discounted. We did buy air, that was expensive, but it was a good time to be away from home! DVC deals are typically better than other deals. I was working when others were offered, so was thrilled to get on the Southern Caribbean cruise!

Thanks for that info Bobbi. I will start stalking that thread. I really wish we went on that southern carib cruise....but we also wanted to fly in the night before and hotel charges in San Juan were also really high (we flew same day for one of the cruises and it was very stressful as flight was delayed). What an opportunity. Glad you were able to take advantage of the offer.

I'll be in Disney over Labor Day also, but in my "other" time share, not on Disney property. It's a great space (two bedroom duplex) but in my opinion cannot compare to a DVC property. But it is close enough to Disney and having an AP makes things easier.
