I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

After we finished our yummy lunch at Raglan Road we took the boat back to SSR
disneyday4037.jpg

When we got there we decided to check out the Community Hall. On our way we passed the main pool
disneyday4038.jpg

disneyday4040.jpg

disneyday4041.jpg

And then Caitlin got a little artsy
disneyday4039.jpg

When we got to the Hall it was empty. So we made ourselves right at home. Dale and Caitlin played a few games of table tennis
disneyday4095.jpg

and then some foosball.
disneyday4097.jpg

When I wasn't taking their pics I was coloring some of the coloring sheets that were left out. You'll have to take my word that I stayed in the lines

When we'd had enough fun we headed back to our room and it was naptime. Well it was naptime for Dale. Caitlin and I took turns with the Ipad and got changed.

When Dale woke up it was time to head to DHS. On the way there Dale told us that the CM who he had dealt with at Disney Quest had felt bad we missed our Fantasmic Pkg so he had signed us up for the VIP Fantasmic seating and all we had to do was checkin at Guest Service. How cool is that?!

As soon as we got to DHS
disneyday3046.jpg

we stopped in Guest Services to get the Fantasmic passes. Dale and I went to one CM and we sent Caitlin to another to purchase a day to add to her park ticket. You see, I had a 10day Travel Agent ticket while Dale had a 6 day hopper + waterpark while Caitlin had a 7day hopped + waterpark. Since we had gone to parks on 2 days before Dale arrived Caitlin was now short a day. (I hope I didn't confuse you too much with that story)

So at our CM we explain we're there to check in and she goes to get the passes. She comes back with passes to the 2nd Fantasmic showing. We explain that it's supposed to be for the 1st showing because we had a dis-meet that night at the MK. She couldn't change it. UGH!! We were so frustrated. We then told her how Dale's ticket had been messed up and didn't have DQ on it even though he had the waterpark+ option. She looked at the ticket and made sure he now had everything. She told us that the problem was that we got the tickets from the "Run Disney" office. (yes another mixup because of the poorly run race!) She told us that there are always tons of issues if you do anything with group sales. Lesson learned! When we told her the VIPseats were because we missed our Fantasmic lunch she graciously gave us the tickets for that section, which we would have gotten at lunch, and for the showtime we desired! Awesome!

As things were looking up, Caitlin came over very discouraged. Her CM had told her that her ticket was not upgradeable. Apparently you can't add days to group tickets? Luckily our wonderful CM took pity on us and comped Caitlin a 1 day ticket to Epcot (the park we'd be visiting again on our last day) We were truly thankful for the fantastic assistance she gave us!

Once the ticket issues were all squared away it was time to hit the park. Our first stop was for some slushies!

While we enjoyed our icy, cold drinks Caitlin took photos of the surrounding atmosphere

When we got to the backlot area, Caitlin took this in honor of her favorite Disney Travel Agent
disneyday3054.jpg

As we wandered we came across Mulch,Sweat and Shears just finishing up a set. We stuck around for their last couple songs
disneyday4017-1.jpg

disneyday4016-1.jpg

After the show we headed over to One Man's Dream. I love that place and all the memorabilia it holds!
disneyday3058.jpg

disneyday4020-1.jpg

As 5:30 neared we decided to go check out the Animation Bldg and see if any special characters came out. We made the right choice!

First up....everyone's favorite street rat
disneyday3061.jpg

Then Caitlin met some dastardly pirates. She thought it was hilarious when the Capt brushed off Dale's head
disneyday4026-1.jpg

Next up was Pocahontas and Meeko. Pocahontas asked if she was a witch doctor since she had different colored hair
disneyday3064.jpg

Last of all we met those darling chipmunks
disneyday3067.jpg

disneyday3071.jpg

When we left the Animation Bldg we made our way back toward the hat because it was time for another Mulch show and we wanted to catch the whole thing.

We grabbed spots in the front row and this former 1980's teenager had a blast singing along from the music of my highschool years.
disneyday4033-1.jpg

I had so much fun that I was pulled up to "perform" with the band on Robert Palmer'a Simply Irresistible. I had fun but, as these pics will show, looked simply ridiculous

It was fun and I got to keep my guitar

Since we were in the area our next destination was
disneyday4045.jpg

I have to admit when this attraction opened I was highly skeptical but it is now one of our DHS must-dos. It really is a lot of fun!

Our contestants
disneyday4060.jpg

Our winner
disneyday4087.jpg

who knows maybe he's the next Justin Bieber!

After the show we were all hungry so we headed over to the 50's to see if we could get a table. We couldn't. So being the educated Dissers we knew to grab a seat at the bar since you can order the full menu there.

Dale ordered a Mojito
disneyday4089.jpg

and Caitlin fell in love with the Vanilla Diet Coke. (she is having withdrawal and can't wait to get one later this month)
disneyday4088.jpg

Dale got a shrimp salad
disneyday4090.jpg

Caitlin and I split the amazing onion rings
disneyday4091-1.jpg

and a wonderful wedge salad that sadly was not photogenic
disneyday4092-1.jpg

After our yummy but light meal it was time for our favorite nighttime show!!

Caitlin, like all the kids in the audience, was captivated by all the lightup toys. She had to buy the glowing mouse ears
disneyday4093-1.jpg

Dale was sent to get dessert for the two of them and returned with this
disneyday4094-1.jpg

They loved it and devoured it!!

Before long Mickey appeared and the spectacle began
disneyday3090.jpg

I love the finale when all the characters appear
disneyday3099.jpg

disneyday3098.jpg

After the show our day wasn't done. It was EMH at the MK and we had a dismeet planned!

Just joining in! :) Love your reports. Yum! Where did Dale find that yummy looking snack?!

Welcome! :flower3: Glad to have you join us!
The cheese/crackers and strawberries are a new offering at the Fantasmic snack counter. It wasn't exactly cheap but they thought it was worth it :)

Holy ticket mix up. What a pain for all of you, but I'm glad you got to see Fantasmic.

So there is such a thing as a travel agent ticket? Interesting. I think I need to learn more about the secrets of being a travel agent.

Fun SSR picture looking through the Mickey key hole.

Those onion rings look amazing.

Don't you love when ticket situations get resolved? SUCH a sense of relief!! I'm glad it worked out and I'm glad you still got to go to Fantasmic! :wizard:
Thanks for the tip about 50's! Very good to know.
That little dessert tray was adorable!! Loved it! :thumbsup2 I want the strawberries!
Fantasmic looks beautiful! I want to see it... it's been years since I've gone!

When we got to the Hall it was empty. So we made ourselves right at home. Dale and Caitlin played a few games of table tennis

So who won? For some reason, I picture Caitlin as being very competitive. Am I wrong?

When I wasn't taking their pics I was coloring some of the coloring sheets that were left out. You'll have to take my word that I stayed in the lines

Two words.... Prove it!

Dale told us that the CM who he had dealt with at Disney Quest had felt bad we missed our Fantasmic Pkg so he had signed us up for the VIP Fantasmic seating and all we had to do was checkin at Guest Service. How cool is that?!

Nice! :thumbsup2

Oh, no. Not at all. Since the Earth’s circumference at the equator is 24,901 miles and the Earth is rotating at 1,041 mph which gives us a point to point rotation time of 23.93 hours. And since the circumference of the Earth's orbit is about 584 million miles, which divided by the hours in a year will result in an orbital speed of about 67,000 mph. It is therefore apparent that Caitlin needed one more day. :teacher:

Sweet! :cool1:

disneyday4010-1.jpg

I love how you have the pink slushy just slightly ahead and not quite completely to the side which gives a dynamic feel to the picture and the way you have the straws crossing each other to evoke a feeling of togetherness suggesting friendship and family... and then plunk the whole thing down on a trash can... :rolleyes1

:lmao:

We really enjoyed "discovering" those shipping crates and seing all the places/people they were to/from.

Next up was Pocahontas and Meeko. Pocahontas asked if she was a witch doctor since she had different colored hair

:lmao:

Ya know, I try and make it a point to not mention spelling or grammatical errors in people's posts because I know I'm going to make my fair share as well. But some times an error really sticks out like a sore thumb and I just have to point it out. Sorry in advance.

In the above quote you state that you "looked simply ridiculous". :sad2: The correct term would be "adorable". ::yes::

It was fun and I got to keep my guitar

I love souvenirs that mean something like that. As opposed to off the shelf bought ones. :thumbsup2

After the show we were all hungry so we headed over to the 50's to see if we could get a table. We couldn't. So being the educated Dissers we knew to grab a seat at the bar since you can order the full menu there.

Did not know that. Good thing to know too! Thanks!

OMG  Those look fantastic!

Caitlin, like all the kids in the audience, was captivated by all the lightup toys.

Not surprised by that one bit. Nope. Can I interest you in another kid's menu? :rotfl:

After the show our day wasn't done. It was EMH at the MK and we had a dismeet planned!

Wow! When you guys vacation... you VACATION! :worship: My crew is usually passed out by the time you guys are just getting going it seems! Thanks for another wonderful update! :goodvibes

The ticket thing was a pain but thankfully that was the end of our ticket problems!

Travel agents can purchase a discounted ticket once a year. The savings isn't huge but I'm all about cutting corners anywhere I can. For our next trip we using the Military tickets discount, since Josh is in the USAF, the savings on those is amazing! So for an awesome ticket deal you could consider enlisting :rotfl:

Those onion rings were delicious!

Thank you :)

The bar at the 50's is a good place to try if the restaurant is full and you are solo or with just a couple people.

Caitlin loved those strawberries!

I always forget just how much I love Fantasmic and with the better seating we enjoyed the show even more!

So who won? For some reason, I picture Caitlin as being very competitive. Am I wrong?

Hmmmm is Caitlin competitive? Is Mickey a Mouse :mickeyjum?

Two words.... Prove it!
I colored a Kim Possible coloring sheet but didn't take any pics. You'll just have to trust me

Nice! :thumbsup2

Wow when Caitlin set that shot up I had no idea of the all the thought and meaning placed into it! She is an artist

No problem. We are an educational TR

Wow! When you guys vacation... you VACATION! :worship: My crew is usually passed out by the time you guys are just getting going it seems! Thanks for another wonderful update! :goodvibes

The truth is I vacationed way too hard that trip! I was fighting a sinus infection and went home exhausted :sad2: I'm actually kind of glad that on our next trip the park isn't open as late

Wow... you guys certainly pulled it off! It was so nice of CM to give you tix for earlier F! seating. As much as I like watching F!, I hate waiting that long for the show. F! pk is the only way we watch F! since that minimizes the wait. I thought you and Caitlyn have APs since you guys are vising the world so much! Anyways, I'm glad that your night at DHS went very well! :goodvibes

You're right the Fantasmic Pkg is much better because the wait is crazy without it!

We've never gotten APs because we usually do free dining which requires a ticket purchase. It would also probably feed our addiction and make us want to even more :rotfl:

Thanks! :)

Good to hear that the ticket mess was all taken care of and that you didn't have to miss Fantasmic.

Love the pictures of the details around Echo Lake. That Roger Rabbit window has to be one of my favorite details at Hollywood Studios.

Dawn, those pictures of you with Mulch, Sweat and Shears are great. It looks like you're having a blast!

I didn't know that you could order off the menu from the bar at the 50s- or that they had Vanilla Coke at Disney. Normally I don't drink much soda at the parks, but since we're not planning on going to any parks on our next trip, I might have to see if I can find any Vanilla Coke. I haven't had it in so long.

That window is very cool! I love all the old movie references in that area :)

Thanks, I was!

You can get Vanilla Coke at the 50's bar and restaurant and at SciFi. Caitlin is hooked!

I'm super late but I am enjoying your TR very much! Can't wait for the next installments :)

That's great that you got to see Fantasmic! after all - AND with VIP seats!!
We LOVE that show and always try for the Fantasmic! Dining Pkg since we don't want to wait on the lines.

Where is the VIP section anyway? Is it over by the Dining Pkg section?
