Yes you had to do the scavenger hunt. We couldn't get our medals until the whole thing was completed

You have a good eye Caitlin had on zebra print shorts and we both had zebra laces and lots of glow bracelets.

I give you both props for doing that race. LOL I know how your mom feels about trying to sneak out of gym class during high school years... that's how me and kristen are! Lazy frumps. If we ever entered a race like that I think everyone we know would laugh at us and just accuse us of solely doing it so we could go to disney... AGAIN

The pageant sounds like a lot of fun! And for second place.. dang that's a good prize! Congrats on that!

I have to work this weekend for my internship doing a voter registration booth. He contacted all of the recruiters in the area to try and get them up there to work with us

Sounds like the race took alot out of you guys.
It definitely makes me happy with my decision to bail on the 5K in January.
I think I'll just let X run the 200 by himself for a medal and then we can walk the 5K with no time restrictions by ourselves.

Woke up this morning early and thought I need to start reading a new trip report. Your title caught my attention. When I opened it I was excited to see it was one of your trips. I remembered the first trip of yours I read, on how you capture the moments so much, and teach us along the way. I've only made it to page 16 but have so much to say. Won't say it all due to being so far behind. Would like to confess I stole one of your pics. I have never been tempted to do this before like having my own memories. The one I saved is from EPCOT. Between the color of the sky and the clouds with the castle sitting in the trees, not something you can see all the time. Hope you don't mind, if you do I can and will delete just let me know. What I would like to do with it is frame it and hang it in my office. Can't wait to catch up.

We should have an update tomorrow. We had hoped to do one over the weekend but lost power in a pretty bad storm. The storm hit around 7pm on Saturday and our electricity wasn't restored until about 5pm yesterday (the 4th) We were outside at the community festival and forced to huddle under a tent until it passed which was pretty scary! Luckily we were fine except for being hit by some pretty large hail stones. Unfortunately, our car didn't fair as well. When we got home we discovered a 7 foot tree limb had dropped onto Dale's car and demolished the windshield and severely damaged the car's roof. The claims adjuster came this morning so we're hoping they get to the repairs asap! Despite the storm and lack of power we still had a fun weekend and we hope you all did too!

Hope everything goes ok with the repairs! I totally sympathize about the no power thing, a couple of weeks ago our town had a mini tornado and lost our power for a couple of days. Were fine other than that though. Glad u a are all fine and can't wait for the update.

Hi All! It's time for another update but be warned it's low on pics since we still didn't have the camera charger and we were running low on pics on the disposable camera and yes I was too cheap to buy a second one We did lots of PP pics on this morning but we did a photopass share and of course the cd has yet to arrive. Anyway, on with the update.........

When I left off we had completed (survived?) the race and got to bed about 12:30. Well I woke back up at 5am I knew I needed more sleep (a recurring theme this trip) but I just couldn't fall back asleep. Around 6 Caitlin woke up and we decided we might as well get up and start getting ready. As soon as she got out of bed Caitlin gave me a Disney Mother's Day card, which I loved, with a heartfelt message inside. She told me my gift would be arriving with Dale. I felt no gifts were needed. I mean I was getting to spend Mother's Day at the Happiest Place on Earth so what more could I want?

By around 7 we were both ready so we headed to the food court to get breakfast. On the way we stopped to check out the huge sports mural just outside the food court. I was so excited to spot my all-time favorite Detroit Red Wing, Stevie Yzerman, in 3 different pics.

When we got to the food court neither one of us felt like a whole meal so we each grabbed some potatos and I got a muffin and Caitlin got a banana. Times like this made me glad we weren't tied to the dining plan

After we ate we turned our bags in at bell services so they could transfer them over to Saratoga Springs. Yep! This was the day we were moving to SSR for our first ever stay there and we were pretty excited!

We then headed to the bus and one immediately pulled up. We ended up arriving at the Magic Kingdom at 8:10. Problem was the park didn't open until 9. As soon as we arrived a CM handed me, and all the moms, a carnation. They had huge pretty baskets and all the moms were being given flowers for Mother's Day. I love how Disney does that!

We ended up meeting a nice group of people while we waited and we all chatted and had a nice visit. One of the dads was telling everyone how it was their last day and his little girl still hadn't met Rapunzel so he was up front ready to run (yes run) through the park to be first in line to meet Rapunzel and Flynn. His partner and their daughter were further back in line choosing to take their time in getting to the meet and greet. His tale inspired another father (who was pretty much his polar opposite) and they decided they'd run together. (they did in fact do this and it was pretty funny watching them!)

Caitlin and I also talked to a nice, and very cute, young man who was a travel agent vacationing alone. He told us how the day before he was waiting for Turtle Talk and someone came up and asked him if it was a real turtle Hilarious, right?!

Finally it was rope drop and instead of high tailing it to the rides we decided to start our day with a visit to the head Mouse in his new digs. We were his first visitors of the day and we loved his new photo spot. Unfortunately you'll have to wait to see our pics though

After giving Mickey and Minnie our regards we decided to check out the new queue for Winnie the Pooh. On the way there, we passed the Dapper Dans

This queue is so cool! I know it's designed for toddlers but it totally engaged us

When this guy popped up he said "how you doin?" So funny!

Caitlin did the tug of war with the gopher and with a little help from me we beat him!

We really had a lot of fun in the queue and enjoyed checking it out!

Our next stop was Tomorrowland. We walked on Buzz Lightyear followed by Carousel of Progress.

We then took a ride on the TTA

I must admit after being stuck on the dark on the TTA a couple years ago it makes me nervous to ride it. I am such a wimp

After our ride on the People Mover we visited everyone's favorite alien Stitch. Caitlin used to hate this attraction but ever since they removed the smelly burp she loves it

After bidding farewell to Stitch we headed over to Pirates. On our way we passed Frontierland Donald. He is so cute but of course I was out of pics so you'll have to wait for the PP

We then rode Pirates and then we were forced to make a decision. It was almost 11 and Dale was due to be landing at MCO. We needed to decide if we should keep our 11:15 adr at the Plaza or make our way to SSR and be there when he arrived. Hmmmm what to do???
