I hear ya on the getting up early. I do the same thing. No matter what time I go to bed, I get up early and I hate that. It takes me until the end of any vacation to "sleep in" and by that I mean - 7:30, maybe.

So - decisions, decisions. Kind of hard to miss a Plaza ADR. I hope you stay for lunch and then head over to meet Dale. But joining up for lunch at DTD and SSR does seem like a nice thing to do. (and get your mother's day present a little earlier)

Anxious to hear what you thought of SSR.

At home the dogs make sure I am up by 6 everyday so I wish I could sleep in on vacation but it doesn't seem to happen.

The new que for Winnie the Pooh is awesome. Seems like WDW has changed much since our last visit which was Sept. I guess that's the reasons we keep going back. I'm very curious as to what you decide to do.... eat at Plaza vs SSR and Dale. Both are tempting... Plaza lunch is always good and checking out a new resort is always nice also.

We had so much fun in that Winnie the Pooh area ourselves, of course I used my daughter as an excuse to try everything out.

Love the story of the dds running to get to the Rapunzel and Flynn Rider meet. I have to say that I am really nervous about that one. Our next trip to Florida is not a Disney trip, but I convinced my husband into one day there. I mean, how can I not take my daughter to Disney when we are in Orlando? Unimaginable. But given our schedule, we can only go on a Fri, Sat, or Sun. and my daughter wants to meet Rapunzel since we missed her last time. Already stressed about how I am going to make that happen because we won't be staying on Disney property and doubt we will make rope drop!

Can't wait to hear all about SSR and see the PP pics of Mickey's new place.

Those dads were awesome. I loved that even though they seemed as different as night and day, their shared bond of wanting to give their daughter's extra magic made them fast friends.

One day at Disney? I think you need to work on your husband some more

We absolutely LOVE the Peoplemover - it's among my Top 3 Attractions at the Magic Kingdom.

As for Pooh, DS actually asked to not fastpass Pooh so we can play in the queue (as long as the line wasn't too long) last time.
So we now go first thing in the morn and take our time playing through the queue and when we're done, there is no line.
Unfortunately it's starting to get a bit run-down lately.
And, for some reason, the Tigger area is still not open - the kids are dying to go hopping!

And I hope you guys chose Plaza before meeting Dale.

Wow that's a high rating! We do enjoy the view from the TTA

We thought maybe there was some safety concern with the Tigger area I hope they fix it soon!

After a rough few days, I'm catching back up...

Hi All! It's time for another update but be warned it's low on pics since we still didn't have the camera charger and we were running low on pics on the disposable camera

'Cmon Dale! Bring that charger!

When I left off we had completed (survived?) the race and got to bed about 12:30. Well I woke back up at 5am I knew I needed more sleep (a recurring theme this trip) but I just couldn't fall back asleep.

Ugghh. Don'tcha just hate that? And you're on holidaze... emphasis on daze, I guess!

Caitlin gave me a Disney Mother's Day card, which I loved, with a heartfelt message inside. She told me my gift would be arriving with Dale.

Gee, even with all the excitement surrounding a trip to the World, she still remembered that? Nice!

After we ate we turned our bags in at bell services so they could transfer them over to Saratoga Springs. Yep! This was the day we were moving to SSR for our first ever stay there and we were pretty excited!

And you'll have the charger for the camera... just sayin'...

As soon as we arrived a CM handed me, and all the moms, a carnation. They had huge pretty baskets and all the moms were being given flowers for Mother's Day. I love how Disney does that!

That's really nice! You wouldn't get that at 6 flags now would you?

He told us how the day before he was waiting for Turtle Talk and someone came up and asked him if it was a real turtle Hilarious, right?!

Absolutely hilarious. Everybody knows that Crush is a real turtle! Sheesh, why'd you even have to ask?

Caitlin did the tug of war with the gopher and with a little help from me we beat him!

We then took a ride on the TTA

After our ride on the People Mover we visited everyone's favorite alien Stitch. Caitlin used to hate this attraction but ever since they removed the smelly burp she loves it

Never been on it. Didn't want to "enjoy" the burp. I didn't even know it was gone! Guess it's safe to try now.

We then rode Pirates and then we were forced to make a decision. It was almost 11 and Dale was due to be landing at MCO. We needed to decide if we should keep our 11:15 adr at the Plaza or make our way to SSR and be there when he arrived. Hmmmm what to do???

Hmmm... what indeed. I'm betting we'll find out soon! Thanks for the update!

Dale and Caitlin both packed my Mother's Day cards and gifts early so they wouldn't forget. They are pretty sweet

We loved the Turtle story. I guess some folks believe Disney REALLY IS magical

On a hot day Stitch is an ok place to cool off. It's not a must do and I'd never wait in line for it.

Cute story about meeting Rapunzel. when we went we had no idea how popular she was, but we got in line anyways and wouldn't you know it, they cut the line right at our spot, so we had an hour wait (which I hear is pretty good! lol) That was an hour of sunshine that we didn't have much of on the whole trip, but the characters were cute. We met Flynn too and I guess that was his last day doing meet and greets, so that was lucky!!

Generally speaking an hour would be a long wait but from what I've heard of their meet and greet you did well!

That's so nice about the free carnations on Mother's Day. I didn't know they did anything like that.

That was the second time we were there for Mother's Day and both times all the parks were handing out carnations. In 2008, the resort restaurants were giving them out too but they dropped that as far as I know. It is a very nice touch!

The burp has been gone our last 2 visits to Stitch so I assume it's gone completely

I decided for once I would listen to my mom and do an update Also there may be some changes to our August trip so once we know for sure we will let you know

I had been looking forward to going to The Plaza but in the end we decided we would head back and meet up with my dad! I was excited to see him and the new resort and be able to charge my camera

So we headed on a bus to our new home for the next few nights! After waiting on a few bus stops we finally made it to the main building! This resort is just beautiful but so large! My mom checked in while we waited for my dad to arrive and I pin traded to pass the time. Unfortunately when we checked in we didn't get a room in The Springs as we requested which sort of made us mad since the CM told us they had been checking a lot of people in there today

After the disappointment of the room we walked around and waited for my dad to arrive.

When we saw him walk up we ran up and gave him a big hug! It was so great to see him!


We were all hungry so we headed over to the Artist's Palette and got some lunch.

The food here is so good!


My dad and I both got the same sandwich and those chips were amazing!

My mom got the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich.

We all enjoyed our food and with our bellies full we set off to find our room.

The CM told us it was only a five minute walk but let me tell you from the Main Building to the Grandstand seemed a lot longer! Once we got to the room we started off by taking tons of pictures!
