I didn't forget about you!! - Day IV - Candlelight Processional

I'm sorry to hear that your FIL had to have surgery but glad to hear that it went well. May God Bless him with a full and quick recovery.

I had no idea Santa stopped off at Candy Cane Gardens! Now I had to laugh about Achmed...my 17 year old DS also finds him hysterical. that guy was really nice to pose with your DS. ::yes::

I love how Donald is dressed up for selling his trees! So cute!

My younger DS saw Achmed the Terrorist for the first time a couple of weeks ago and thought he was hysterical too! I knew exactly where you were going with your title of this update! :rotfl:

Thank you. We just got a call that they moved him from ICU to a rehabilitation center today. Normally we would be able to go and visit now, but DD has an upper respitory infection ANNND and ear infection and DS has the upper respitory infection also. Since DH & I unwittingly carry their germs, we don't want to pass them on to anyone:guilty: .

Wasn't he great? His GF thought it was too cute. She's the one who convinced him to take the picture.

I have to stop Michael from singing Jingle Bombs while we're out in public. He may think it's cute, but he might offend someone:rolleyes: , so I have to remind him to keep it to himself.

I totally forgot about this...

When we were seated, we were all the way up front on the left side of the theater. I looked to my right and there were two mature women with lap dogs. They looked a little well to do and I wondered how they were allowed in the park with the dogs:confused3 . Well, I got my answer soon enough. One woman asked a CM if there were any loud, sudden noises during the show; she seemed concerned that her dog wouldn't take it very well. The CM assured her that she should be fine and curious (NOSY:rolleyes: ), little 'ole me had to ask why she was worried. It turns out that those dogs were service dogs! Now, growing up, I'd never seen a service dog smaller than a shepard so being curious (NOSY:rolleyes: ), I asked what kind of service dogs were they? They were SEIZURE dogs. I've never seen that before in my life, but it made so much sense to me. Small dogs that sit on your lap, can detect the rigidness and/or movements in the body associated with seizures. It thought it was completely fascinating.

Okay, that's what I remembered...bye for now.

Hope the kids feel better soon.

Interesting story about the service dogs. I never realized that there were ones for seizures. Thank you fir that tidbit of info. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I feel so bad for DD. Her pediatrician called this morning and said her throat swab came back positive for strep. Ugh!:sad1: She started to cry b/c DH wants her resting in her room, but she's lonely:sad: . I told him that her germs are already all over the house, but he just wants her in bed. We get DS's results tomorrow, so cross your fingers that his is negative!!

I'm tired of all this sickness going on!:crazy2:

Awww, the poor thing. Hopefully your son doesn't have it too.

My DD is home sick today. She's 15 so she is more than happy to stay in her room though. She's been there since she came home from school yesterday. I think she may have the flu. She's running a fever, has a headache, sore throat, cough, and some body aches. If she's not better tomorrow, I guess I'll take her to the dr.

sending pixie dust that your dd recoups quickly and that ds tests negative.....
and adding in that you and dh avoid the whole mess.

Thanks. The kids are doing really well and thankfully DH and I didn't catch anything.

Sorry I've been slacking on the TR, I will get around to it. Things are a little hectic right now and I'm exhausted.

We went to see FIL in the rehab center on Saturday and he looked really great. We walked with him up and down the hallway and kept him company for a few hours. This morning, DH gets a call that FIL is in the emergency room because his defibrillator went off a few times. We're not sure if the fact that he pulls and pushes himself with his arms might have moved the wire lead that goes into his heart and set it off, or if his heart really stopped. Right now he's in CCU and he's not doing well.:sad1: Keep your fingers crossed.

It's bothering me alot because 10 years ago, my dad was in the hospital because of strokes and he didn't make it, so this is dredging up a whole mess of bad memories.

happy to hear your kids are doing fine and that the two of you missed the whole thing.:goodvibes

sorry to hear that your FIL is having some problems. Sending pixie dust and prayers that all will be well

Thanks for your pixie dust and prayers, THEY WORKED! FIL is now out of the hospital and driving MIL crazy at home:laughing: .

We have the Trojan vundo virus in my main computer (that's connected to the modem and router) and I don't have an internet connection at home, but not to worry, we took it to Staples and we're getting it fixed.

I've been typing my TR from work and will hopefully have our next installment up by tomorrow:woohoo:.

See ya then!:goodvibes

Okay, so Staples messed up and gave us back our desktop with the Trojan virus still inside, so we had them check it again, and WHOA the system recovery on my desktop has its own hard drive and it was under some cables that the tech didn't look under. Sooo, long story short, everything is back to normal in my house and we can get back online...:thumbsup2

I know I said that I'd get the next installment in, but I got my Photopass CD while my computer was under the weather and I've been dying to post them.

Here they are, please enjoy...
