Well I did it! We weren't sure which way to go but we have officially booked the Swan for April 11-18 with the government rate of $129. I am sooo excited!

We had first booked PO for 124.00 but this is so much better IMO;) .

Just had to share my excitement!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Emme, congratulations on booking the Swan! I agree that, even though the price is slightly more than your quote on a moderate ($5.00 more per night plus add in the daily resort fee on top of that) you are getting a fabulous resort at a wonderful price! For the little extra you are paying you get so many more amenities and access to the fun of the Boardwalk. As so many others have said, you can't beat the location! I have booked the Swan using the government rate, and I personally would choose that over a moderate, with or without a code, any day. Have a great trip in 4/03, and enjoy those "heavenly" beds!

I also booked the gov't rate, now I can't wait to go! I am especially looking forward to exploring the boardwalk area and being able to walk home after illuminations!!!

we are new to this, so I have to ask. Do you have to be a government employee to get this great rate???? I have looked into many resorts, and yes, this is a good rate, especially for this time of the year. I was just wondering. Thanks:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Swan & Dolphin (Starwood resorts) offer extream discounts - great rates to
Government Employees (thank you for your service to the communities)
Nurses (thank you for your endless hours of care)
Teachers (thank you for educating our children)
and
I think Police/Fire (thank you for keeping us safe)

I hope the above helps :)

I did it too! We are going for 11 nights in June. I orginally was at CBR, but really wanted to try the Swan. We got the teacher rate through Dreams Unlimited because when we called (SWAN) direct, they wouldn't let us have the discount for most of our stay because of a convention. It doesn't matter. We are there. :smooth:

sm4987 I didn't think about DU when we couldn't get the gov't rate for 4/5-4/10. I was told I could get the gov't rate or AP rate the first night only and the rest of the stay would be at rack rate. We had to "settle" for the AKL. I actually like the AKL much better, but the gov't rate is better than the AP rate we got at AKL.
