Some good ones listed! I guess the reason I thought of this thread was because there are so many people out there with shows about themselves that I don't understand WHY?

The Speidi couple mentioned above (the only reason I know about them is from the pounding they take on Talk Soup!)

I don't mind hearing about celebrities who have actual talent. Many of the celebs mentioned here don't fit that category.

LOL!!!! I don't even know who these people are!!! I also don't care about which celebrity is hawking which cause or for whom they are voting. Ugh! Seriously, I don't know who most of them are anyway.

Kendra lived with Hugh Hefner and was part of "The Girls Next Door" show until Holly, his girlfriend wised up and left. That was another "why am I watching this" show..My DH liked it. Now Kendra is married, pregnant, and has a dance pole installed in her living room. Yep, that is way more than I need or care to know about this woman. She laughs like a donkey.

Bob was the first Apprentice, married to Gulliana from Etv and red carpet fame. Neither has a reason to be on a show about their lives..

I guess Spencer and Heidi (aka Speidi) are on The Hills. I only know them from Talk Soup and from what I see they are both self absorbed idiots.

Well, thanks for clearing that up. I am going to assume that "The Girls Next Store" and "The Hills" are tv shows. I have heard of Apprentice but have never seen it. Is etv a cable network and Gulliana has a show on it? Is Talk Soup a tv show as well?

I do know who Hugh Hefner is though. LOL!!! Sorry. I just really am not into all that stuff. I only know some of the people mentioned in earlier posts from what I've read on these boards, and others like the Kardashins I know by name only.

I really don't get the whole reality tv phenomenon... I understand shows like Survivor that have a purpose... kind of like a game (I don't watch it), but these shows that are just about following people around their day to day lives, whether the issues are real or made for tv drama... well, I just don't care. When I first heard people talking about Speidi I thought the were talking about Spiderman . Then I saw an article in one of the magazines at the grocery store checkout about them... I STILL don't get why they are "famous".

We have a beautiful new tv and DH makes fun of me because I never watch it... I've been the only one home today till DS got off the bus at 3:30 and we still haven't turned the tv on. I'm just not a tv person, and neither is DS. DH is, though, (hence the big, pretty tv in my living room) but he likes regular, non-reality shows. I will sit with him while he watches sometimes, but usually with a book. I'm a nerd.

May I kindly correct some of you that the phrase is "I couldn't care less"? Saying "I could care less" implies that one could, indeed, care less than they do now, thus the subject does have at least some personal concern to them. Do you see the difference?

I'm in the same boat as MiniGirl, didn't know who those people are either, and don't really care. You can't escape the Jon and Kate junk, it's all over the regular news. I have heard the name Kardashian, but don't know who they are or why they are so famous. Living here in the land of sports nuts, I don't care to hear so much about the minute details of local sports figures' lives.

I enjoy going to games, I enjoy being on sports teams but I do not have the patience to watch it on TV.

Pretty much everyone that was mentioned. I also don't care about any of the survivor, dancing, idol etc. shows or anyone on them. I did watch a tmz clip once because a local young man and his sister (I live in a small town and have known the family forever) were in a scuffle with some actor from the new 90210 show. Just a side note that young man also "dated" Paris Hilton on the Simple Life. I guess he had his 15 minutes of fame twice lol.
