I went crazy a few months ago making ressies. I was so excited because I love the restaurants SOOO much!! Now I'm 2 months prego and have been barely eating a thing. We leave in 2 months.... maybe one day I'll wake up and have an appetite before then, huh?!

Any eating or naseua (have no clue how to spell it, sorry!) tips for me????

Most likely you will be feeling much better in 2 months time. Usually the end of your first trimester the nauseua goes away and you start feeling great. At least that is how it was for me. My 2nd trimester was the best.

Congrats on the little one!

The naseua usually passes by the 12 week. Eat smaller meals several times aday instead of 3 large ones. My SIL had a really rough time her last one and this helped her tons!

I can't help you much more than that, I was one lucky prego lady, had 3 kids and no morning sickness...sorry... :)

Hope you feel better soon!!!

Lori

I was ravenous when I was 4 to 5 months pregnant. Thank goodness it tapered off. You should be just right for the free dining!! Just don't overdo it.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I agree I bet by the time you leave your appetite will be back times two..lol I was always sick the first two -four months then I couldnt get enough to eat! Congrats on the pregnancy by the way!

This is my second pregnancy. With my first, I don't remember being sick one day. Sore, a little. Tired towards the end, big time! But not sick. No vomiting this time either. Just feeling gross day in and day out. So I've been a little nervous about walking the parks for 6 days. And bummed about my new eating habits. So thanks for the encouragement and I hope you're all right!!!!

Ditto here. DW was terrible the first 14 weeks. She lost 10 pounds the first trimester. All of a sudden it was gone. She literally woke up one morning and felt great. I have a feeling you will be fine by your trip. Have fun. :sunny:

Oh honey, I just went through that horrible 4 months of constant nausea myself. Luckily it ended around 14-15 wks. Like many others said, I'm in my 5th month now and completely ravenous. When I go to WDW soon I'm sure I'll be eating lots and lots of sweets, let's just put it that way. I know it's hard to imagine now but you may very well be feeling a lot different by then. Good luck!

I also had rough first trimesters with two of my pregnancies (the 2nd and 3rd) but by the time I was 14 weeks I felt better, even great.

Some things I learned:

Don't drink dairy before flying or a long car ride. Something about that made me feel awful.

Ginger ale is your friend, and candied ginger can be too.

Those Sea Bands things really work!

If you are still sick at that point talk to your DR and see if they will give you something for the nausea. I had to take something for a couple weeks with DS and it was a miracle drug. Phenergan maybe?

By the time your trip rolls around, the Mouse may go bankrupt on the amount of free food you'll consume. :rotfl2: As far as what to do now to feel better, I highly recommend ginger in any form. Some swear by the capsules(esp. if you don't like ginger) but, I love it so I buy the ginger chews made by The Ginger People(I use them for carsickness now) and ginger beer(like root beer) made by Reed's I believe. You can also buy crystallized ginger and eat it or make a tea. Look in your local health food store or big supermarket and they will have most of this stuff. Good luck!

OOPS!I just reread your post and you said nothing about free dining. I don't mean to make you feel worse if you're not getting free food.

Caramia,

I am totally feeling you right now. I am in my 12th week of pregnancy, and I have been extremely ill for the last month and a half. I actually couldn't keep anything down, not a tablespoon of ginger ale, not a single cracker. It got so bad that I had to go to the emergency room several times for dehydration and constant vomiting. I am finally on a medication that prevents the vomiting so that I can eat, but it's expensive, and the insurance gives me alot of trouble about it. I am soooo fortunate that it started AFTER we got back from Disney! It started literally the week after we got back. I am being told constantly by my nurse and midwife that this WILL stop soon... it's extremely rare for it to last beyond the 12th - 13th week. I am sure you (and I) will be better soon. It's depressing, though... being this sick and lethargic all the time is no fun. I can't wait to feel energetic and healthy again! Try all the age old remedies... ginger ale, lemons, eating something first thing in the morning, etc... but if they don't work, just insist upon being given something that HELPS. I tried 3 different medications before anything even phased me. Sometimes, if I'm just a little nauseated, drinking iced tea with lots of mint calms my tummy.

Don't worry about your trip to Disney, though... by that time, you'll be feeling much more inclined to eat, and less sensitive to smells, etc. Good luck.

Here is a tip i actually got from a doctor just this week. My family all came down with a wicked stomach bug. So i know how your feeling. Take benadryl. What the Doctor said was that they tell women with morning sickness to take it because it slow down the GI tract. Of coarse check with you doctor. But i took it and it made a world of difference. i thought it was strange an anthistamine but i am telling you it works!

Oh, youll be able to eat by then. Youre gonna wake up one day ravenous, crazy, mad hungry - and that wont go away until.... well gee, my youngest is 11 and I still have it! ;)

Seriously, it will go away. I was crazy crazy crazy sick with both my boys. I seriously didnt even leave the house. So so so sick. My DR prescribed Compazine cuz it was so bad. I mean, just terrible. And it literally is one morning, and *poof* youre better. And by 4 months, youll be good to go.

Ahhhh to have the dining plan and be pregnant?!?!? Good lord, I'd would'a got my money's worth!!! :teeth:

I feel for you! I was soooo sick when I was pregnant-extremely nauseous. It lasted until 24 weeks with my first dd and 21-22 weeks with my second dd. I agree with the posters who recommended ginger. That helped a little bit. I also was able to eat tons of pineapple and kiwi after about 12 weeks with my second. Those 2 fruits contain digestive enzymes and they stayed down pretty well. Citrus wasn't bad either; the only way I could drink water was with lemon slices or 3 parts water/1 part lemonade. Eat small, frequent meals or snacks-nothing to heavy or elaborate. Try eating a couple of saltines before you get out of bed.

I hope you feel better soon and that you can eat at Disney! And keep your eyes on the prize! That little precious babe is worth it! :cloud9:

Congratulations! Do not take any medication of any type without consulting your doctor first. The good news is that morning sickness usually does end by when you start your 2nd trimester.....give it a week or two before and after. In two months worth of time, you should be feeling just great, and will enjoy all of those ADR's you made!!!!

I can totally relate. I had all day sickness with both my pregnancies. The first was worse and lasted about 6 months!! The only thing that helped me were lemons. When I felf really nauseus I would just smell a fresh cut lemon and it would help, if it was really, really bad sucking on the lemon helped even more. I would travel with a fresh cut lemon in a ziplock bag in my purse! Also, eating more frequent small portions of food. I could not eat a large portion at one sitting. Also, keep some crackers, or breadsticks by your bed and eat before getting out of bed. Then through out the day snack like crazy on fruits, or whatever you can get down. It will get better. Congrats and good luck!!

I also heard good things about these, check them out:

Either way whether you are hungry or not you have to eat good nutrious food,so do it for the baby - He/She will thank you later.

I never had morning sickness until my last pregnancy!!

Ginger is a great stomach settler (MythBusters did a show on remedies for motion sickness, but I used it to settle my stomach!!) Ginger ale, ginger snaps, crystalized ginger candy to suck on -

for me there were certain smells that seemed to trigger me - poor dh couldnt make coffee in the house!! Seriously!! I used to love grannysmith apples, no more!!

I found lemon candies also helped, as did jelly beans - so find what works and stick to it!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

We went to Disney in Nov when I was 4 months. I was the exact same way. I was sick for almost 12 weeks straight. (with my 1st I wasn't sick at all) Magically, the week before our trip, the sickness went away. I did get tired easily and needed to rest in the afternoons. I dranks tons of water too!

Hope you are feeling better soon! Congrats!
