Anyone going next week feel the same :confused3.

I am so excited about this trip - I think more than I have been before for some reason. I think it is perhaps because my DDs are just that little bit older now so can share in rides more etc. But not too old so can still enjoy character interaction - a perfect age I guess! :cool1:

We have the treasure hunt and little Disney bits all ready for Sunday morning - we plan on doing this about an hour or so before we need to leave for the airport. I just can't wait to see my DDs reactions - brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it :cloud9:. Video camera to the ready!

So, has anyone going next week not yet told their children? Jothp - have you thought about how you will break the DLH to your girls?

I am like a child in a sweet shop, all hyper on sugar :upsidedow.

And if it rains (like it is now here - pouring, poor DD1 is on an outside school trip today!!), then we will get wet but be happy :wizard:.

I'm at work, unable to concentrate, feeling sick (excitement) and very tired (no sleep due to guess what - excitement!).

My lovely girls know we are going and wake up each day with their first words being 'x more days till Disney!'

I too am meant to be working today (from home!) but not getting much done! :rolleyes1

Need to make a start really....

I am the same, not sleeping well which isn't great as I know we'll be shattered when we come back! :lmao:

Ah bless your girls saying X sleeps. My DDs think we are going away but not to Disney so they too are counting down but to a MUCH less exciting place! ;) Little do they know.... :cloud9:

Just off to peek at the weather forecast (rain no doubt!), then off to do some work!

I'm actually quite glad I'm not working at the moment as I'd be useless!! Can't concentrate on anything, even packing!!

Ooo how exciting, make sure the batteries are in and lens cap's off for filming!! They'll be bouncing off the walls!

Our two have been taking it in turns to pull off the numbers off of our countdown chart. 3 more left! (although we won't be here to take the last one off!) it's come round so quickly!

I've not been sleeping well either with the excitement! Last year I was up and ready by 5:45 am!!! This year I'm sure I'm going to be worse as I'm celebrating both my and Mickey's birthday!!! I'm trying everything I know trying to get some more sleep as otherwise will be shattered before we get there - it's not working tho - I'm way too excited for that!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Can't concentrate on anything either!:rotfl: And time seems to be dragging too!:rotfl:

100% me too!

Just can't think about anything else, lol!

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited!

sleep is for the weak!!!!!!!!!!!!! lmao

and i still have a week to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so much to do here, kids have jubilee parties at school tomorro, party on saturday, jubilee party on monday, maybe one on tuesday (in our road) then horse riding and friends animal show on thursday........... and at sum point packing!!!! :lmao:

I know Nikki - similar here - girls have Jubilee stuff on at school so I've had to make crowns for them both, outfits, tea party stuff etc!

Then Saturday we are emptying their rooms, stripping all curtains etc down as we have a plasterer in next week while we are away! Oh also got to bleed the radiators and strip paper behind.... oh, and finish packing :lmao:.

Also, need to finish my work before we go!

The girls are staying at my Mum's house on Saturday night due to their rooms being emptied. I just hope they sleep OK so that they are awake enough for Dreams on Sunday night ;) :lmao:.

Aw I'm actually jealous of your jubilee celebrations as we're going to miss it all. I might have to dress Skye in her red, white and blue outfit that she's wearing to school tomorrow, on Tuesday too! Perhaps set up a picnic of cucumber sandwiches on main street?!

I did, for a fleeting moment, wonder if they might do something in DLRP for the Jubilee but I doubt it. The fact that the Disney Store UK was selling bits did give me hope.... probably falsely!

I have a Mickey union jack flag t-shirt to wear though .

yes, saw the disney store bits, but doubt there will b anythin in dlp :confused3

I'm very excited at the moment, more than the children I think. I was going to make a card for the girls inviting them to disneyland hotel and put it out for them to find the morning we were moving there but have left it too late to order one and our printer is low on ink and doesn't print pictures very well. Think I might get a postcard when we get there instead to write on.

Fab idea on the postcard Jo :goodvibes

Actually, your DDs collect pins don't they? You can get a DLH pin (key one like the other hotels but v pretty!). Might be a nice thing to add to the postcard for each of them? Just a thought.

I have the old style (discontinued) DLH pin - another pretty one :). But need to get the new one :rolleyes1.

I am so excited, I think I might burst. My DH thinks I've well and truly lost the plot :lmao:. I don't know how I'll manage until Sunday! Thank goodness we are flying relatively early.

That's a great idea about the pins, thanks. :goodvibes

I'll join the list of overexcited people! Yesterday was my last day at work, after which I met my sister for an unnecessary trip to the Disney store ;)
Today I'm heading down to London for a touristy weekend with friends so that'll be fun too and Monday will be here in no time. On my train journey today I'll be mostly be planning for DLP!
