I Can't Believe We Ate the Whole Thing! 15 Nights of DDP with photos...!

Just catching up on your reviews :thumbsup2

Never had a frozen banana but it sounds nice so I will add that to the list :)

That steak at CR looks delicious - your pictures are amazing. I am still stunned at 'no ice cream' though  I have never had the Chocolate Wave but it looks like the kind of dessert that needs an accompaniment (and not just alcoholic cherries :rotfl: ) Still, I am not sure it has put me off as I've always wanted to try it - could you taste any alcohol in the actual dessert? I heard it has some kind of liquer :confused3

I would say more like homemade than Kraft. Very creamy. DS liked it very much and he does like Easy Mac, Kraft spirals, etc.

The booths could easily fit more than three people. Easily.

Thank you! Keep the reviews coming!

first off i must say how much I love your DH's coke pic :rotfl:

I cant wait to try Coral Reef now! I had ressies last year but never went, instead I decided on Captin Jacks  It was horrible!! When we got back home one of my DH's co-workers went to Coral Reef and loved it so he said this year he wanted to go. As this was his only request I honored it and booked us a ressie and now I am glad I did!

Another great review I was just wondering was the Kitty Cocktail included on the DDP as I know my DD's love Shirley Temples (or as we call them Mickey Mouse's :confused3)

Frozen bananas...childhood memories, although to us they were chocolate covered bananas - still frozen. When we were kids, we used to go camping down the Cape every summer. At the campground, they sold chocolate covered frozen bananas. As soon as we set up the tent, it was off to the little store to get our frozen bananas. YUMMY!

I'll have to remember to get one at WDW just to relive my childhood. I haven't had one in forever.

Lovin' your reviews! We've only got 3 TS this trip, but I've already got DH sold on looking at free DDP for our next trip!

Thanks! Free dining intrigues me. Where are your 3 TS's on this trip?

Your pictures ae great! I want more! I'm so thankful we have ADR's for Coral Reef in September. Ours are for lunch though.

I checked all ears - looks like the same menu for lunch. Yum!

You are doing such a great job on your review, I can't wait to see more.:thumbsup2

Thank you!

as a foodie i am loving your reviews :thumbsup2 keep it coming;)

I went in deciding that at the very least, I'd get to try the infamous Chocolate Wave and DS would enjoy the aquarium. And everything else was so good!

They were! We always asked if he wanted one, and each time they were included. And if your DD's ask for lots of cherries - be prepared for LOTS of cherries ;)

We saw them at almost all the ice cream carts - DH just loves them. I'd always heard of freezing grapes as a frozen snack, but I though you only froze bananas when you had too many going bad and wanted to make banana bread at some point. :rotfl: I was so wrong. It was a sad moment when it hit the pavement...

Hi Joh!

I was really surprised about the ice cream too...very strange! And yes, there was a liquor flavor to the middle of the cake. Very nice....;)

Great reviews! I am glad that I am not the only person out there that as a child thought that it was "kitty cocktail"! Although the attraction for me was not the drink it was the cherries, the little swords they came on and if I was lucky the little umbrella...which always ended up being a fashionable accessory for my Barbies.

We have an ADR for Coral Reef during our upcoming August trip. I just realized today that I haven't been to CR since 1989. It just hasn't been on our list of places to go because my DD, Kelly, who is now 21 has so many "must eat" places that we never seem to have a day where we can slip CR in. I am really looking forward to going back. Keep the great reviews coming!:yay:

Love the Reviews. The Baileys and Jack Daniels Mousse looks soooo yummy:yay: Can't wait to read the rest

We have:
Coral Reef for lunch

'Ohana for dinner @ 8:20 (so we'll hopefully be able to get a window seat to see the water pageant and, if we hang around long enough, Wishes @ 10)

CRT for lunch

I'm still drooling over those pics; showed DH your pics last night and, for the first time, I've got him excited over the restaurants we chose! :cool1:

Fisrt of all, I have to say I love your list of restaurants! Some I have been to and some that we are trying in September. So, I am looking forward to them all!

My DD15 is diabetic and she always makes me try her soda before she drinks it, to make sure it's diet. And that is the face I make, then she KNOWS she has the right one! Sooooo funny that you have your DH picture doing the very same thing!

Looking forward to the rest of your reviews!

these are GREAT reviews..that list is amazing...perfect timing to get me super excited about my trip in June! :)

I am loving your reviews. I was especially glad to read that you had such a great experience at Coral Reef, since we're going there for the first time in about 10 years on our August trip. My hubby and daughter were the ones who wanted it, and I was skeptical, but I'm feeling better about it now.

Of course, that Jack Daniel's and Bailey's mousse probably would have been enough to convince me all by itself! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :cool1:

DH and I ate here on a “date” around 10:00 while DS did the Pirate Cruise. We have had dinner here before but not breakfast, so it was a different experience. We walked in and the hostess was actually surprised when we told her we had an ADR. They weren’t busy and were taking walkins. We were tickled that in the huge open restaurant, we were seated at the same table we had the first time we ate there. We ordered a coke and water respectively to drink.

To eat, we both ordered the Spoodles Breakfast Platter because it had a huge variety and pretty much covered what we wanted. The description on allears: Spoodles Breakfast Platter - All You Care to Eat platter of scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, French toast, bacon, sausage

The food was fresh and hot and came out to the table quickly, with a condiment plate that had ketchup, hot syrup and whipped butter.

I didn’t care for the scrambled eggs. I wanted to like them, but they were too fluffy and soft. I like my eggs very dry. DH did like his. The bacon was crisp and well cooked. DH gave me his sausage patty (he’s not a fan) and I left it after I ate mine. It was good, but greasy. The breakfast potatoes have bits of onion and red pepper in them and were very good. I also like the French Toast but I prefer the texture of a less thick bread. Neither of us finished our first plates, and definitely didn’t ask for seconds on anything, although our server did check with us several times to see if we wanted anything else. All the protein filled us up and we didn’t eat again until dinner!

With our 10% DVC discount and a tip, the meal came to around $30. Pricey maybe for breakfast, but we had a great time!

On our way out, we asked the manager if we could peek at the dinner menu and he handed us one and told us we could take it with us. How cool is that?
