I Can't Believe I Invited My MIL -I'm BAAACK! And determiend to finish this thing!

And I kind of enjoy the quest for my elusive pink JC hoodie. I think I even like grumbling about the mistreatment and neglect of JC and his lack of presence in the parks. Is that said, or what?

You know everytime you refer to Jiminy Cricket as JC I think your are referring to the original JC and I have to re-read the line.:rotfl2:

AHAHAHHA!!! I am ashamed to say I have never even made that connection! Do you see how in-tune to Disney I am? JK! Seriously, that would be one great hoodie.......

It sounds like you are about ready to GO!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW FREAKING FUN!

Love the black bow shirt, TOOO CUTE!

:yay: :yay: :yay: Only a few days left!!!
I bet the weather will be awesome. We were there last year from Nov. 8-14 and the weather was just great. No rain. Just beautiful clear blue skies and perfect temperatures. It was a little cool in the evening but so doable.
Have a great time.:cheer2:

OK, so I wanted to show you one outfit I finished for THE PRINCESS....
IMG_5097.jpg

There are pants as well...Denim capris with red satin trim with the black polkie-dotted ribbon below that. THE PRINCESS loved these so much she insisted upon wearing them to preschool this morning with her black kitty cat Halloween shirt we bought at Target (pronounced Tar-Jey, of course). Those little pom pom things up there are korker bows for her hair. I made those too - so easy! I make them for every outfit she owns. Not really. But close. :rolleyes1

What can I say? <spits>

OK, I have also been hard at work on Trip Journals for the kiddos. Basically, I feel an immense and overwhelming amount of guilt over taking Buzz out of school for a week. So, to make up for that, I made him a journal to fill out throughout the trip. He can then take this in to his teacher to show her we did not completely slack off while at the World. I am sure she will see right through this ruse and give the journal only a cursory glance, but whatever. I rpinted most of the pages off mouseforless.com, and then added some coloring pages, connect the dots, mazes, and ABC worksheets at the end. All Disney-related, of course.

As you can see, I put their itineraries on the cover. I made one for THE PRINCESS, as well. Equal treatment, and all that. Though she can only write her name, so not sure how excitig those journal pages will be.

Nothing like a little WDW brainwashing of your kids to brighten my day.:thumbsup2

Ok, one last thing..... I put together a little goodie bag for each kiddo. The bags will be placed on the beds in the hotel room when we first enter. We will somehow pull a fast one over on the kids by telling elaborate lies in order to make this happen. Hey, whatever it takes, right?? Each bag has some little Disney goodies (like we aren't gonna buy enough crapola there?) and a letter from Mickey (buzz) or Minnie (THE PRINCESS) welcoming them to WDW and telling them to have fun and obey their parents. Subtle, eh? Ok - here is a picture of Buzz's loot:
IMG_5091.jpg

1. In back you can see the gift bag...Mater's headlights actually light up! At first I wondered why McQueen's don't light up. Then I remembered - his are stickers because the race tracks are always lit up! Can you tell we have watched this 6,702 times?
2. McQueen PJs
3. Mr. Potato Head (for the pieces we buy at DTD)
4. Disney straws - saw these at the $1 store and HTHT (had to have them)
5. Glow bracelets - 15 for $1!!
6. McQueen notebook for doodling in car
7. McQueen crayons
8. Mr. Incredibles Pez (couldn't find McQueen!)

Imagine THE PRINCESS's bag with all the same stuff, only substitute those ubiquitous princesses wherever you see McQueen. I really wanted Mickey and Minnie stuff, but does anyone know how hard it is to find straight-up Mickey and Minne crapola? I mean, outside of WDW? Nearly impossible, I tell you. Those darn Pixar characters and the aforementioed Princesses have taken over....

Well, there you have it. My fingers ache and you probably have eye strain, so I'll leave it at that.

Everyone have a wonderful and safe HALLOWEEN!!!! :stir:

I would like my goodie bag to include the following:

Bottle of Grey Goose
Cranberry Juice
Dr Pepper
Beef Jerky
A gift card to J Crew

Thanks. I'll be looking for it in the mail.

Love the bow shirt. My DD would love it!!! :thumbsup2

That loot is AWESOME. I always make up a goodie bag for DD for the car ride. She has a Princess backpack and we fill it up with Disney stuff to pass the time.

Have a wonderful trip! Enjoy the weather :cool1:

It is pretty freaking fun! But speaking of freaking, I am starting to do just that. I am getting worried about forgetting things...AHHH!!!!

I will begin working on this now. I have a few bottles of Belvedere (my fave), but I will get the Goose for ya... But i just can't allow you to defile it by adding cranberry. I'll send along some vermouth and some olives. Voila. That's all you need.

Heather:wave:

Have a wonderful trip. :thumbsup2
Thanks so much!!! I will!!! At least, I'd better!

Thanks!! We havea c ar goodie bag too....The kids picked all that out themselves. They got some Disney activity books, sticker books, and a efw little toys. THE PRINCESS got some of those princess dress-up dolls that are like Polly Pockets. :sad2: I am sure we will have teeny tiny princess shoes all over the car, never to be seen again.

It took about 2.2 seconds for my DD to lose hers. What fun they are! And the heads come off depending on the outfits. Gruesome!

So, might I ask...how is your MIL? When does she arrive at your home? Is she excited? Does she have any idea what she's in for? (The World, not you, of course.)

OK - I am slightly freaking. Just ever so slightly. I have not resorted to heavy drinking yet, but it may be in my future.

We leave Sunday morning at the butt-crack of dawn. Here is how my days looks from now until then.

Thurs, afternoon - Do laundry, set aside clothes I know we'll need. FInish up the shirts and goodies for trip. Frak out. Freak out some more. Come to realization that something crucial will be left behind.

Thurs. evening - Host monthly Happy Hour for 12 neighborhood chicks.

Friday morning: Coordinate and host PTO lunch for teachers - this is the only one that is seriously freaking me out!

Friday evening: Go to birthday dinner for friend

Sat. Morning: Go to Buzz's soccer game

Sat. afternoon: Chili cook off at friend's house ( I MUST win)

Sat. evening: MIL arrives.....true panic sets in.

Ok, so when am I going to pack, make lists, check off lists and boss eevryone around? I am SLIGHTLY FREAKING, PEOPLE!

And if that is not enough, I find out here recently that the fridge from the Fridge Swap I am in HAS GONE AWOL! The 2nd to last person seems to have disappeared, and with her, the fridge!!! Ugh. SO now I need to call ASMu and see if I can pay them a nightly fee to use one of their yucky, tiny, lukewarm fridges.

I better go do that now....

I'm tired from just reading about your weekend! How do you do it all Girl?
You might want to go get yourself a fridge at wally-mart, could save you some moola if you have room for it in the car.

That is gruesome!! Good gracious, if Belle's head falls off mid-trip, we may have to drug THE PRINCESS to get her through the trauma.

MIL arrives Satruday evening around 5pm. Heaven help us all.

I am not only not sure HOW I do it all, I am not sure if I CAN do it all. Stay tuned.

And how much is Disney charging for fridges these days? Buying one could seriously be cheaper?

Holy smokes.

Gotta go - Happy Hour starts in 10 minutes!

Love it and I wish you the best with your MIL on the trip!!! Your kids will have a good time regardless and they sure are adorable. All ILs are different - some you can vacation with and some you can't.

Good Lord woman, how in the world can you do all that?!!!! We're going to MNSSHP Fri nite & all I have to worry about is should I take the backpack or just a fanny pack? Since the weather has FINALLY cooled off a smidge I believe we'll need a light jacket once the sun drops. Back pack it is. I would seriously lose my mind if I had all that to do in the days leading up to a major trip. Although I wouldn't mind the happy hour. Right now I have 4 kids ransacking my house, only two of which are mine, so I foresee the sweet elixir of the margarita passing my lips as soon as I drop off the extras in less than one hour. (yes I'm counting down the minutes)

I'm excited for you & your family on this trip. You'll have a great time in spite of the MIL (I'm sure it won't be bad at all). Just keep swimming! :goodvibes

AND...can you tell me (at your leisure, I can wait) how to make those little bows. They are so cute. My DD won't have bows on her shirt unless it comes that way but I could probably swing the hair bows. Maybe.

BTW...I'll have what Jordan's having. :rolleyes1

Crap! I've gotten so far behind again that I think I'm ahead!!! I love the ribbon on dd's shirts! One can never have too much ribbon! Unless you're a boy, but that's a whole nother subject...................................

I love the goody bags for the kids but may I suggest you do one for the mother in law which contains sleeping pills?.........oh wait, I'm thinking about my mother in law! Have I mentioned she lives in my basement???????

I can't believe your trip is so close!:cool1:

Oh my gosh, you ladies are hysterical! :lmao: I found this thread today and almost pee'd my pants twice! I will join in on the inlaw thing too....but gotta get somethings done first!

Thanks for the giggles!:rotfl2:
