I know I have been a bit of a slacker lately when it comes to this PTR.... My only excuse is LIFE! I have taken on a lot of stuff at both my kids' schools, and with Halloween and Fall stuff going on, it has caught up with me. I have become a stranger on my own thread!! And speaking of strange, has anyone seen Kandi lately???? That chick has gone MIA. Kandi, give your peeps a shout out when get a break from all that body building, would ya?
Ok, so this is my BIG LAST MINUTE PLANNING POST. I am not completely done with all I need to do, but this is last my last kid-free morning before we leave, so I'll just show you the thigns I have accomplished and that will have to do!!
So, to break it down for ya (I am doing the robot right now at my computer), I leave on Sunday....Which is 4 days away, my friends. FOUR DAYS!

In the immortal words of the Kool Aid Man - OH YEAH!!! Hehe. Thinking about Mr. Kool Aid always makes me giggle for a few moments. Ok, I'm over it.
Now, I figured something out yesterday that made me just about pee in my pants it was so exciting. We are leaving Sunday morning. My plan was to get out of the house as early as humanly possible. I am putting the kids to bed in their clothes (comfy clothes - don't hate!). I would LOVE to be outta here by 6:30. We have about a 6.5 hour drive to the gates of WDW. Well, lo and behold, the other day I realized that Sunday at 2am is FALL BACK TIME!! Yes, peeps, we set the clocks BACK ONE HOUR!! This means, we all gain one hour of sleep!! SO now I can get everyone into the car at 6:30, but it will feel like 7:30!! Which is practically sleeping in around here! And because it always takes us at least 2-3 days for us to get around to actually-physically resetting our clocks, it will even SAY 7:30 when are leaving. Can you conceptualize how completely awesome this is? Do you understand why I nearly peed my pants with excitement?
OK, another exciting thing - the weather! Now, I am sort of a-feared to talk of this out loud. We all know Florida weather is as fickle as a sorority girl (hey, I WAS a sorority girl, so I can say this). But right now, the forecast is ROCKING MY WORLD. In all my numerous trips to WDW I don't think the weather has ever looked so absolutely-fabulous. Check this out:

Nary a drop of rain!
Can you dig it? I mean, whoa. So perfect, right? I can only take this as a sign that all the stars and planets in the cosmos have aligned to make little ole me's trip as perfect as can be (or maybe the cosmos just loves New Jersey). There you have it. A Mandate from Heaven. OK, Mandate from Heaven was actually part of Chinese history, but what the heck? It could apply to my WDW trip, too, right?
OK, so I wanted to show you one outfit I finished for THE PRINCESS....
There are pants as well...Denim capris with red satin trim with the black polkie-dotted ribbon below that. THE PRINCESS loved these so much she insisted upon wearing them to preschool this morning with her black kitty cat Halloween shirt we bought at Target (pronounced Tar-Jey, of course). Those little pom pom things up there are korker bows for her hair. I made those too - so easy! I make them for every outfit she owns. Not really. But close.
OK, I have also been hard at work on Trip Journals for the kiddos. Basically, I feel an immense and overwhelming amount of guilt over taking Buzz out of school for a week. So, to make up for that, I made him a journal to fill out throughout the trip. He can then take this in to his teacher to show her we did not completely slack off while at the World. I am sure she will see right through this ruse and give the journal only a cursory glance, but whatever. I rpinted most of the pages off mouseforless.com, and then added some coloring pages, connect the dots, mazes, and ABC worksheets at the end. All Disney-related, of course.
As you can see, I put their itineraries on the cover. I made one for THE PRINCESS, as well. Equal treatment, and all that. Though she can only write her name, so not sure how excitig those journal pages will be.
More pages:
Ok, one last thing..... I put together a little goodie bag for each kiddo. The bags will be placed on the beds in the hotel room when we first enter. We will somehow pull a fast one over on the kids by telling elaborate lies in order to make this happen. Hey, whatever it takes, right?? Each bag has some little Disney goodies (like we aren't gonna buy enough crapola there?) and a letter from Mickey (buzz) or Minnie (THE PRINCESS) welcoming them to WDW and telling them to have fun and obey their parents. Subtle, eh? Ok - here is a picture of Buzz's loot:
1. In back you can see the gift bag...Mater's headlights actually light up! At first I wondered why McQueen's don't light up. Then I remembered - his are stickers because the race tracks are always lit up! Can you tell we have watched this 6,702 times?
2. McQueen PJs
3. Mr. Potato Head (for the pieces we buy at DTD)
4. Disney straws - saw these at the $1 store and HTHT (had to have them)
5. Glow bracelets - 15 for $1!!
6. McQueen notebook for doodling in car
7. McQueen crayons
8. Mr. Incredibles Pez (couldn't find McQueen!)
Imagine THE PRINCESS's bag with all the same stuff, only substitute those ubiquitous princesses wherever you see McQueen. I really wanted Mickey and Minnie stuff, but does anyone know how hard it is to find straight-up Mickey and Minne crapola? I mean, outside of WDW? Nearly impossible, I tell you. Those darn Pixar characters and the aforementioed Princesses have taken over....
Well, there you have it. My fingers ache and you probably have eye strain, so I'll leave it at that.
Everyone have a wonderful and safe HALLOWEEN!!!!
