I can't believe I agreed to stay in a TENT at Disney.

make sure you have a thermarest or other air mattress and at the end of the trip, tell your husband you love him, over and over. That he is better than the mouse.

Make sure you take in the fire works on the beach. Bring a cocktail from your campground or the FW tavern sit back and watch. Don't forget the campfire with chip and dale.

Are you going to be at the parks every day or just hanging at the fort.

:rotfl2:.. Hope that you have a great time!:goodvibes

DH has been wanting me to go camping in a tent with him since we got married. He is an eagle scout.
Well now seems the time he really wants to do it and to make sure I would agree he planned it for Disney.
We will be leaving our son with grandma for the weekend so no need to worry about the baby. :thumbsup2

We'll be doing this the first weekend in November for 2 nights.

Tell me anything and everything I will need to know about tent camping at Fort Wilderness.

Me, hubby and our four kids will be tent camping at the Fort that same weekend (through the next week.) I can assure you, you will love it!! As others have said FW will spoil you for other campgrounds. If possible I would suggest renting a golf cart while you are there, Imo it is the best way to get around.

We will have our lime green Mickey ears out at our site, so feel free to stop by and say Hi!

It looks like everything is up in the air. We may take the baby down and stay in a resort or have grandma watch him and camp.
DH is still deciding what he wants to do. But I get to go to disney either way so.

I know this is gonna sound crazy but bear with me a sec...

Is there any particular reason why, if you take the baby, you can't camp? My DD, who is now almost 5, had her first camping excursion at 8 months old and my DS, who is now almost 3, had his at 7 months.:lovestruc At that age, they aren't quite at mobile as a toddler and a PnP is easy enough to pack and set up in the tent. Of course, if you are using the baby as an excuse NOT to camp, disregard my "helpful" advice(and I understand, really!!) :lmao:
