I CANNOT believe this just happened!!!!

The other day in the Fireworks lobby, there was a boy asking if there were other boys who were looking for a boy. He kept saying it over and over, and a group of us were there. We told him that vmk was not the place for this, and he eventually said what he said in the pic. All I said in my report to staff was, "This person is saying things that he definitely should not!" And btw...NO ONE titled him weird or any other word. No idea why he said that...?

Wow! I am sorry you experienced this, Grumpy, but if you yourself didn't have time to report the incident, what makes you think the CL's in the room did nothing? It is entirely possible that one or more of them also tried to report. I can't say this enough...IGNORE!! Use that ignore button and tell everyone in the room to do the same. Think of VMK as a big playground. You hear a child saying those things to the other kids. What do you do? Tell the other kids to ignore them and play something else as you -the adult- try talking to the unruly child, correct? The VMK moderators ARE doing their jobs. I reported a 'guest' last night and received a message that it was being looked into and thanking me for reporting. Then that player disappeared from the room. Staff has to do things in order of importance. It's entirely possible this player WAS banned, but maybe it didn't occur until Mocha made her report and the player won't know until today, when she tries logging in. Please consider this, as it's just another possibility.

That all may be true, but it doesnt change the fact of the appearance of the situation. And the fact that she didnt acknowledge the situation once it excalated appears to mean she is ignoring it, bring up negitive feelings about her and the situation.

Grumpy, the only thing I would have added to your letter is the time, the instance (north south etc).... good job!

Hiya Disvaclub and Mimi, both of you made very valid comments. I just wanted to put in my 2 cents as I was there with Grumpy and DisKat when this happened.

We were in the room with a few other players, including two CLs (sorry Grumpy but one was DIS), when this girl started going into her spiel with Grumpy. VMK_Mocha showed up, made a comment (mind you not directed to anyone in particular) that we should watch what we are saying. She was not with anyone in particular at the time.. so I can't say for sure to whom she was addressing that comment.. but yes it did appear she was there due to a report. She did acknowledge the few usual comments directed her way.

However, she had been there no more than a minute before the (what I call) "brown nosing" CLs literally filled the room swarming around her like she was Yavn. She did turn her attention to them, I say this as she no longer was talking with those of us that had her attention, but directly to the CLs. (There had been 7 of us in the room, including the 2 CLs. I did count a full room of 15 just that minute after Mocha came in, meaning there were then, at least 8 or 9 CLs.) I do agree that the "brown nosing" CLs had no clue why she was there, and certainly had nothing more on their mind than to see Mocha.

This girl not only continued her spiel but kept following Grumpy and even tried with some "language" to evict DisKat from her seat on the bench with Grumpy to continue to be with him.

Granted any of us, Grumpy included could have used the Ignore button. But the point here was not an issue of that button, but an issue that Mocha was not multi-tasking beyond keeping up with the multiple CLs conversations.

She came in the room because of something one of us said, and I would like to believe it was aimed at that girl. But she clearly did not continue to watch "the room" where she could not have missed the comments that girl was making. She was too involved with her fan club.

Sorry Mocha if you read this, but I really believe, knowing you came there to advise one of us to watch what we were saying.. that you should have kept vigilant for at least the duration of either a FEW minutes, or your stay in the room.

Just to let you know, I personally saw Mocha in two different rooms today admonishing players for giving out personal information. I am not a brown nosing CL, btw, and was not following her. One was in VMK Esplanade, where I often go to check to see if a guest needs help. CL_SharkDad was already there with a crowd around him, and I could see Mocha's bubbles, but not Mocha. Someone had said something personal, and Mocha was explaining that was not allowed. The offender apologized profusely and asked not to be 'band'.

I don't remember the other room, but it was a similar thing. I was wandering from room to room using exit instead of the globe, just for the halibut, and stumbled upon her again.

In neither instance did I talk to Mocha or in any way get her attention from what she was doing. I know that if I see a VMK_ staff member in a public room, and it's not closing, it's usually because of an issue in that room. Shame on those CLs for not having the sense enough to know that.

Grumpy, I am with you wholeheartedly, and I sure hope that your e-mails and messages do/did some good. VMK really does need to understand that we do not want this in VMK, and will continue to report it until it lessens. It will never stop, unfortunately, since some of these kids have no sense of values of their own, let alone VMK values!

PS, I did manage to find some very lost folks in Tom Sawyer's Island. To all the CLs out there, we should spend more time in these places to help these ppl, me included. I get so wrapped up in rooms and visiting and playing games, that I sometimes forget just what that CL_means!

I'm glad I was able to help them, as I'm sure CL_SharkDad was doing in the Esplanade!

Yes there are a few poorly chosen CL's on VMK's part, but by and large, the vast majority of CL's are doing an excellent job upholding the title and responsibilities that come with it.

I did not make my post to defend myself and in no way did I think your post to be accusatory or anything of the sort. My post was intended to show that although Mocha "fell down on the job" in what was observed, I saw her more than doing her job today.

Some CLs do think the title allows them to follow staff around like puppy dogs, although none of the ones that I know from in game or here on DIS fall into that category, to my knowledge and experience.

What you posted is the truth. I was not offended by it because I do not perceive myself in that category. Which, either means I'm doing my job, or it means I have no clue! LOL

All's well! Back to the issue at hand, and the saga of how it plays out...

I feel that if VMK will allow boy girl taken, they should allow boy boy and girl girl. That is, in my eyes, segragation. Just like how the world was before martan luthor king

Yay! The Black hole has responded.
You know, VMK really needs to work on there help program. It's like you only have 3 options:
1.) Please use the ignore button
2.)We'll look into it
3.) Use the help button only for emergencies (most oftenly used)

I'm surprised those CLs are even CLs. Maybe we should make and trademark a word with the definition of: CLs who are stupid and just have CL_ in front of they're name because they want to be worshiped.
