I Can See Epcot From Here! ~ A November Trip and Dining Report ~

I think I mentioned that we eventually went to SAI on the trip so that kind of gave it away that we went back to Epcot. But maybe that was one of those times I was rambling and no one was reading. :rotfl:

Enjoy your walk. :goodvibes I wish I could go out and walk!!

I somehow disassociated the fact that you got a chance to eat at SAI from visiting Epcot. Silly me!! :rotfl:

I had no idea about the fastpass thing. I guess it makes sense when you think about it, if you didn't enter the park you don't really need a fastpass. We felt pretty dumb! But everyone I have told about it since say they wouldn't have known either.

I knew about the fastpass thing, but only because I've read the Theme Parks board, and they kind of jump on you pretty quickly when you ask if you can gather fastpasses for people not yet in the parks. :sad2: Wouldn't have known that otherwise though!!

Good luck with that Sheila. You'd better take your pedigree with you.
Or coat of arms.
Or family tree dating back to King George.

They don't just take anyone there you know. :snooty:

Way to dash a girls dreams :lmao:

I thought that was you that was scolding people for not reading! :lmao:

Well aren't you special getting to sit by the water at SAI. :snooty: I guess I should have mentioned your name when we checked in. :rotfl:

The caramel shop is heaven. :cloud9: So many wonderful things to choose from.

Glad your walk was nice. Sorry about the rain/umbrella incident! :scared1:

Oh yes, I'm very special! Not only did we get the best table at SAI, but we were the family of the day at MK, we got all the FP's we wanted for EE, and we had a big basket of goodies waiting for us when we checked into our room.

Oh wait, I think I dreamed most of that.

Guess I'm not all that special.

:rotfl:

We actually found out about the fastpasses the hard way last year. The kids and my MIL were dragging so my DH and I said we would walk over to DHS and get FP for TSM and could only get our two (we got there early and the line was short so we deciced to ride then and then my DS12 and DH went again)
So sad your report is almost over and now we aren't going the same month so we don't have that thread to chat on (any other regular chats you do that I could join in on?)

Yes sometimes you are afraid to ask a simple question around here -- you might get your head and butt bitten off for doing so. :sad2:

I guess we just thought that was one of the perks of staying so close to a park. Oh well, now we know!
Way to dash a girls dreams :lmao:

Wow you are special! I almost believe all that. :rotfl: Well except for the basket part, we know only the super special people get those! ;):lmao:

DH didn't even notice it right away because it spits out a slip for each ticket. He just stuck them in his pocket and headed back to the BW. I don't know what made him pull them out and look at them, but it wasn't until then that he noticed 3 of them said "invalid" on them! :upsidedow

I'm glad the TSM line was short for you guys. It sure wasn't for us! :scared1:

I know, it's so sad that the TR is nearly over. :sad1: And our November thread really didn't hang on long after the trips. :confused3 The only real chats I am on now are the August thread, the September thread, and the Snowbird thread -- that was from our Jan 2009 countdown thread and there is a little group of us that still chat there. You are welcome to join any if those, but I know it won't be the same. I post to the CBR FAQ sometimes too. That's about it. I will let you know if I do a PTR, but it probably won't be until the summer if I do it. Are you doing one?

I know, I always know it's coming but it's just so hard to see!

Congrats on your last minute trip!! :cool1: Sounds awesome!

Stay safe with all that snow!

Yes, it was quite the yummy day. ::yes:: I wish I could have one of those strawberries right now!

I know, can you believe Mickey on the envelope looking all happy with his luggage? :sad2: What's that all about?

I can't believe we cancelled either. :confused3 It still hasn't snowed/rained since very early this morning. . .

For a minute there, when the CM said - sure you can sit by the water (before he suddenly changed his mind :confused3), that we were pretty special! But it turned out that we weren't special after-all.

Maybe he expected to see $ crossing his palm and when it didn't he decided close but not that close to the water Lady :lmao:

Wow you are special! I almost believe all that. :rotfl: Well except for the basket part, we know only the super special people get those! ;):lmao:

Nooooo........that part really did happen!!

But am I still considered special if I sent it to myself? :rotfl2:

I kid, I kid......

Teri- yep- we are enundated with snow. Over a foot. The kids school is cancelled today, tomorrow and I'm venturing a guess that it will be on Friday too.
This is BIG TIME here. All the rednecks with trucks are having a grand old time doing donuts in the median of the highway. On accident of course. "Well gee whiz by golly, never thunk the ole gal had so much get up n go. Guess I was too heavy on the pedal or some such- maybe I should've stayed home." Um, gee, DO YA THINK?????

Lest anyone think I speak ill of rednecks. Or trucks. Or snow and ice. They are all perfectly fine alone, bless their hearts. It's the combination of the three that concern me.

:rolleyes1

And yes I'm a Southerner born and raised and I can indeed say those things.
And on top of that- Daddy had a truck. But he wasn't a redneck. He was a real live cowboy with boots and chaps and a hat and everything. So there.:upsidedow

:rotfl2:

Hi Shelly. Thanks for allowing me to ramble on your thread.
Catharsis, you know.;)

In other news--- I have sat by the water at SAI. But it was due to brute force that it occured. DH gave them the eyeball and they sat us there. Of course that was after they tried three differnt times to seat us at a table not by the water and we kept refusing. Maybe they were expecting $$ and I was too dumb to know.:confused3
I wish I was special..........:headache:

Not if you sent it to yourself and said it was from the resort!! :rotfl:

I can't believe you have so much snow! :scared1: It finally started snowing here this afternoon, from the big storm we were to get yesterday morning. :confused3 I am now wondering what we will actually get tonight/tomorrow.

Rednecks. :rotfl2: I thought that was just a PA thing. :rotfl: We actually do prefer to drive in the snow up here, that means the giant potholes are filled in.

Maybe Mark slipped the CM a 20 dollar bill so you could feel special! ::yes::

Happy 7 Months by the way!!!!!! :dance3:

Well, I plan on starting a PTR soon for my April trip, then plan on doing a TR when I get back - that just might tide us all over from the end of this TR (:sad1: to see it coming too...) to the start of your PTR! I'm very open to chatter, thoughts, musings, what have you... ;)

I haven't started my PTR yet because I'm headed down south next week. My best friend is getting married in Punta Cana and I'm one of the bridesmaids! :woohoo: I didn't want to start a PTR then loose all my readers (if I get any...) by not posting for more than a week...

But can I saw I am definitely looking forward to escaping all this WINTER we've been getting. I swear mother nature is punishing the entire continent it seems!! Can't wait to be strolling to the beach looking like this guy --> :cool1:

Yes -- please tell us when you start your PTR!! :yay:

And have a great time at the wedding. :goodvibes How great that you get to get out of this crazy nasty weather for awhile! Enjoy! :cool1:

Wow, a foot of snow!! Are y'all in the northwest part of the state? I don't know if we have ever had that much snow here. At least not in my lifetime! It's a big deal when we get an inch. Speaking of.....we're supposed to have a "wintry mix" starting tomorrow. My DSis is a teacher and said school is already canceled for tomorrow. When I said it's crazy here when one snowflake falls, I meant it. And can you believe it was 75 degrees on Monday. That's why the saying here is if you don't like the weather in Louisiana, just wait a few minutes. So did y'all go out and play in the snow? I bet the kids loved it!

Good morning everyone! :goodvibes

We had some pretty nasty winds last night, but only a little snow. Things were back to normal today -- no cancellations or delays. I just have a quick update for you this morning, then I'm off to the school for a PTO meeting.

When we were done at Epcot we made our way back to the BWI and went up to the room and got changed and went back down for our last trip to the pool.

When we got to the pool they were having their afternoon games & a dance party. The kids of course joined right in! :yay::yay:

Up Next: Beaches & Cream and a DIS Meet

Good Morning All-

Our Snow and Ice storm finally ended yesterday but I have never seen such high piles of snow in my life, the backhoe was widenning the street last evening and was back this morning again.
There are roof callasping everywhere, I tell you it is scarey :scared1: The kids went back to school today and I know some were closed still because of too much snow on the roofs -I heard on the news they were using the National Guard to clean off school roof tops.

Shelly -Great Mini Update, It totally looks like a fantastic place if you have kids, so much pool fun and games. I still love the look of BW pool, I held back showing DH the pics of the BW up till now but I think I am going to get him to sit down and look at it.

I got the bug to change resorts again :rotfl: after looking at the pool pics this am, I love the carousel snack place? Oh and I was looking to see about adding another day to our trip and it is not available at BC but is at BW ...still no air fare for my time so I can change if I wanna

I love that Disney has those fun little activities at their resorts. It's a nice break from the parks sometimes. :) The boys look like they were having a good time!

Aww, the boys looked like they were having a wonderful time. The pool looked like it was hopping!!:dance3:

Those type of activities are so much fun.
Nice for the kids to relax and unwind from the craziness in the parks.

The pics of the Swan/Dolphin are so pretty! What a neat spot.

Thanks for sharing- can't wait to hear about B&C!!:goodvibes

Wow! :scared1: That sounds scary with all the roofs caving in.
Stay safe Sheila!

The BWI is a really great place. :goodvibes There is just so much to do and see all right there at your resort.

I can't believe you are itching to change your resort again!! :rotfl: Let me know what you decide!

Yeah, that was the first time there were more than a few people in the pool of all the times we went there! It was a warm beautiful day. We had a nice time, but it was sad knowing it was our last time at the pool.

If you walk out behind the pool (where I took those pics) you can see the Swan/Dolphin and that is where the walking path is to DHS. Very neat!

Great report and pix today Shelly - Fun times at the pool. :thumbsup2 I didn't realize how close the Swan and Dolphin were to BW. Are there bridges where you can crossover and visit those resorts?

Thanks Sea! :)

Yep, you can walk from the BWI to the Swan/Dolphin in about 5 minutes! Often times when we were coming back from a park and the BWI was the last stop we would get off at the Swan and walk over. Much quicker than staying on the bus while it stops at the Swan, then Dolphin, then YC, then BC, and finally the BW. :faint:
