So jealous of all the snow you're getting! I'd love some snow here!



I live in CT too, but I live in the area that got nothing! Not even flurries! So unfair!

Anyway, love the new room! You're pics are really making me want to stay at the Boardwalk on our next trip! How long of a walk would you say it is to get to Epcot?

I'd give you my snow any day of the week!!

DH timed the walk and I think he said it was 9 minutes from the time we walked out of the BWI to the time we were going through security at Epcot. Not bad!

The confusion over the Mara is normal. I researched AKL and still had to ask where was I going. I strongly disliked it's location. It made sense to be near the pool, but the fact you had to walk outside was strange to me. I also was not fond of the food I ordered, we ate there once on departure day while waiting for ME.

Maybe AKL has a more expensive arcade. We used the card on the last day and dd got 3 games off one card.

AKL holds a place in my heart... and that is what I love about all the resorts, there is a favorite for everyone and each one is unique. I was never interested in BWI (prefer the BC and YC), but your photos are beautiful, I think I'll add it to the list!

I didn't realize you had started your TR & you're already up to 13 pages that I had to catch up on!!!!

Your DS looks so much older with his hair grown out. I'm laughing at all the posters who say he looks like Leif Garrett & you don't know who he is. Your DS does look just like Leif Garrett did years ago. Leif Garrett was very cute, but Shaun Cassidy was my guy!

The Epcot crowd picture was ! I hope it got much better during your stay.
I love the picture with the sky writing.
I hate your 1st room didn't have a balcony, but I'm glad you were able to get it all worked out.
The arcade game card was very cheap. My kids only got 1 or 2 games out of it, it was disappointing.

I love your new view. I would love to stay BWI one day. If we ever do, I'll know which room to stay away from!

Beautiful room photos! I LOVE that shower curtain...do they sell those anywhere? It's subtle enough that DH probably wouldn't even notice...

I looked up a picture of Leif Garrett online and showed it to DS and he didn't see the resemblance. I did though! He says his hair doesn't look like that and I told him it's getting there if he doesn't get a haircut soon!!

I know, he looks a lot older with that hair. And now he's almost looking me in the eye he's getting so tall. Where does the time go?

The crowds did lighten up for us, but Epcot remained pretty packed all week.

Yes, if you ever stay at the BWI you don't want room 5283!!!

We got all unpacked and settled in and all was well with the world. Well, except for the fact that it was still VERY cold and windy out! And now it was going to be dark an hour early because of turning the clocks back.

So rested a bit and then we got ready and bundled up and headed out for the bus stop.

I asked DS11 to take a picture of DH & I on the balcony.

And then of course DS9 wanted to take one too!

We went down to the bus stop and waited a short time and a DTD bus pulled up. We got on and it had already been to the YC, BC, Swan, and Dolphin. So we were the last pick up and were at DTD in 14 minutes.

Once Upon a Toy. We hit this store pretty hard every year! The kids had saved their money for a year and they were ready to shop!

First we stopped by Mr. Potato Head for a picture! For those of you who read my PTR you'll remember that I went back through my Disney pics to see if there was a spot that I had taken the kids picture on each trip so I could see how they had grown. And this was the spot! ( http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=38140117&postcount=36 ) Totally by accident. But now we knew it and the kids headed straight for it. I hope they never remove it!

Got a sneak peak at the new Star Tours ride vehicle.

And found the all new video game section they put in.

The kids made their purchases. I'll have to see if I can find some pics of what they bought. Their total was over $40 of course, so I was offered this throw for $15 I think. And of course I bought it!!

We had time for about one more store before our dinner ADR at T-Rex, so we went into World of Disney quickly.

I'm not sure we bought anything in there that night, but we got ideas for when we were coming back later in the week.

That is a nice throw, when I was there in 2009 they had one with Cinderella Castle on it and I had to buy it too!
At the resort store it was a WDW tote bag and yes I got that too

I've gotten about 3 totes on that deal over the past several trips. This year I wanted the throw! Plus I didn't really care for the tote this time, it was red and not very pretty.

So, DD20 and her best friend from college made plans to go to WDW over spring break in March! They are staying at the Contemporary and are going for 5 nights. I am quite jealous, but at least we are going in May!

And oh my gosh-- I have been waiting and waiting to hear about TRex since you sent me that text that you had a great time there.
Speaking of phone calls--- I was shopping the other day .... and I got a msg from my SIL but before I listened to it I had to erase a whole bunch of old msgs that I'd never erased. And so I skipped thru a whole bunch of them and then there was one from you saying "Hey-- we're in Magic Kingdom..."
and I was like---- Awwwwww, they were having such a good time!!

Yes, we were much happier with that room! DTD was fun. It always is! No trip to WDW is complete without going to DTD for us!! We actually go 2 times each trip!

HFT shoes! Nope, that wasn't them. (Although these ones did have a little bit of a heal on them, all of my shoes do!) It was way too cold to break them out yet! But I might have gotten them out later in the week for our date night. . . You'll just have to keep watching. . .

T-Rex was so fun! I'm so glad we finally went there.

I remember leaving you that message at MK. I was sitting in a rocking chair on Tom Sawyer Island when I called!

I too love to get the puchase with purchase stuff. I have a throw, a fleece blanket (with the castle with Christmas lights!), small suitcase, countless totes!! It's crazy, but I'm one of those people who they market that stuff to! I love that stuff and the "deal"!

Hope the boys liked T-Rex!! Wonder what they ate?

DTD looks like fun. There doesn't seem to be too many people there either. We went at night last time and it was mobbed. Maybe it will be less busy during the day.

Can't wait to hear about T-rex. We are trying it next trip and are very excited.

I know, we are such suckers for their 'deals'. Gee, if you spend a million dollars we will let you buy this trinket for the discounted price of a thousand!! Hmm. . .Okay, sounds like a good deal to me!!

Thanks! I used to be like that too. I would get home and look at my pictures and wonder if I was even on the trip! DH has gotten better at taking some pictures. And now that DS11 loves to take pictures we are never lacking!

DTD wasn't too busy that afternoon. The only times we have seen it really crowded is on weekend nights and if something special is going on.

Yep, they offer room service. There was a menu in the room, but we never ordered anything.

Thanks. I've been thinking about getting my hair all cut off. Well, not ALL. But quite a bit! I did it a few years ago and I'm thinking it's time. It was driving me crazy on vacation, so it is definitely coming off before the next trip!

And the boys look so handsome and grown up. And "grown up" isn't necessarily a bad thing! There are lots of good things about your kids getting older! But don't worry, they're still young. I mean, they're not driving yet or anything.

I really like that throw. I'm surprised it was only $40 that you had to spend in order to "win" the opportunity to buy it. Spending $40 in Disney is almost like spending $40 at Wal-Mart. It doesn't take long or fill too big a bag!
