And the boys look so handsome and grown up. And "grown up" isn't necessarily a bad thing! There are lots of good things about your kids getting older! But don't worry, they're still young. I mean, they're not driving yet or anything.

I really like that throw. I'm surprised it was only $40 that you had to spend in order to "win" the opportunity to buy it. Spending $40 in Disney is almost like spending $40 at Wal-Mart. It doesn't take long or fill too big a bag!

Thanks Teri! We actually got a lot of pictures of just DH and I this time. I think the kids were in competition to see who could take a better one.

I know 'grown up' isn't a bad thing. It's just different. I am loving this stage of their lives, they are so fun, but do miss the days when they were little and needed me more!

DS11 just reminded me last night that he would be driving in 5 years.

It finally stopped snowing here! That was crazy, it snowed non-stop for 3 days. We usually don't see this kind of snow until Jan/Feb.

We had a fairly early T-Rex ADR, something like 4:30 I think. That was the best time I could get 6 months out! We were all very excited to try this place. We had been wanting to eat there since they opened, but never did because we were always on the DDP and T-Rex doesn't accept the DDP. I could never see paying OOP for a meal when we had the DDP because the DDP was always plenty of food for us. So anyway, we were all very happy to finally get to T-Rex. I had heard that the coolest room to sit in was the Ice Cave. But with the luck we had been having I wasn't going to ask for it and be disappointed when they said no! So we checked in and were told to wait just a few minutes. They called us right away and we were following the hostess to our seat. I could see the Ice Cave and we were headed right towards it. Could it be??? Was our luck about to change??? Yes, it was!! We were seated right smack in the middle of the Ice Cave! The kids were so excited. It was very cool in there! The waitress came soon enough and told us that it would get dark & loud in there about every 20 minutes when the meteor shower happened. She was very pleasant and helpful and efficient. She told us to feel free to get up and walk around and look at things and take pictures. So DS9 & I went on a little walk after ordering!

It was quite impressive in there!

We had looked at the menu online a couple of times and had an idea of what we were going to order. DH got the Paleo Shrimp – “Parmesan crusted shrimp with linguini tossed in a pomodoro cream sauce”. I got Supersauras Sampler, which is actually an appetizer, but very huge! It came with – “Spinach and pepper jack queso with tortilla chips, Brachiosaurus Bruschetta, T-Rexadillas and Onion Rings”. DS11 almost went for the mini-corndogs, but decided on the pizza instead, even though he already had pizza for lunch. DS9 got the mini-corndogs. The corndogs came with one side item and he got jello.

Everything was so good! I highly recommend this place! Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Yes, it is a little loud in there, but it really wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be.

DH and I were stuffed! But I remembered seeing online that they had donut holes as one of their desserts and that just sounded so good! So we ordered them! Meteor Bites – “Warm chocolate and vanilla donut holes with powdered sugar, served with chocolate and caramel sauces”. They were delicious!!

Before we left for vacation someone on the November Countdown thread had posted a link for Rainforest Cafe coupons and said she thought T-Rex was accepting them since they are owned by the same company. So I printed them out and thought I'd ask. I think one was for $5 off of a $25 purchase and there was another one for something else I can't remember, and one was for a 99 cent kids meal. Well near as I could tell the kid's meal coupon was the best deal since kids meals are $6.99 there. I had forgot about the coupon until about half way through our meal. When I remembered I dug it out of my bag and just laid it there on the table so I would remember to ask her when she came back. She came by shortly after and saw it there and said – I'll go see if I can apply this to your bill. I said – okay, I wasn't sure if it was good here or not, no big deal if you can't. And when she came back with our bill later she said she had been able to apply it to both kids meals!! So we got each of their meals for 99 cents, saving $12!

How kewl was that , the server applying the coupon to both boys meals, yep your luck had changed for sure

T-rex looks great! You ordered what I was thinking of getting. (Yes, I know it's a little strange to know what I plan to order in 5 months). I didn't realize it was so big. The donuts look great and we will have to order them too.

Yeah, if they are a little frightened by dark and loud places, you might want to wait a bit. Although I will say that it wasn't near as dark or as loud as I was expecting.

We're not fans of Rainforest Cafe, altho dd is... I don't think she knows about T Rex, keeping it on the down low. Every trip she asks can we go to Rainforest, she now understands the concept of the dining plan. Altho this year on the Basic dining we do have some OOP meals, including our CS breakfasts, we're breakfast eaters on vacation.

That was a heck of an appetizer! I ate all I could and DH ate some of it, and DS11 had some of the chips, and we still didn't finish the entire thing!

We went to Rainforest Cafe once, on our very first trip in 2005, the only other trip we didn't have the DDP. We thought Rainforest was just okay. T-Rex was way better!
