Not anything good or bad. Nothing! :rotfl2: But I haven't given up yet!

I have to disagree about figmet I had a blast riding it with my mom 4 my 21st b-day

WOW! I had NO idea! I am such a dork...I always thought you had to comment to be subscribed..:rolleyes1

Shelly...we did EO when it came out when I was a kid...hated it then...didn't want to do it ever again.I cannot believe that they brought it back! And girl, if you think Orlando has humidity, you would absolutely die at my house!! Ha!!! I was thinking how there was NONE!!!! Ours is really bad... I can't wait to travel somewhere and there really isn't any just to prove to DH how bad ours is...he is totally oblivious to it. ie,..yesterday, it was 90%, I was getting sicker(sinus) as the day wore on and the humidity rose...last night he says"gee, I can't tell that it's 90%, can you?".....I said, uh,yeah..a little. I am only dying here. I really don't know how he can not tell..maybe I am just too weather sensitive...I took meds before the plane too!!! Didnt get a migraine that time!!!!

Yay for an update!!:surfweb:

So-- thanks to Teri, now when I see a pic of your DS11, I see Leif Garrett from my childhood. And I used to think he was so cute back in the *ahem* seventies.:hippie: I forsee big problems for you in the very near future with the girls!!:upsidedow

I'm glad you guys got to go to Turtle Talk with Crush- I think it's so cute. I don't remember much about Captain EO, so I wanted to do it again with the kids- now I'm not so sure. We're already hard of hearing (Middle age, you know) ;) IDK if I want to have to invest in a hearing aid for afterwards.

I agree with you about Florida. When it is hot there, it is HOT- but dang, when it is cold- it's bitter. It has to be the high humidity. It just feels different.
You'd better think of a time to go back when it is warm, with no chance of cold.:upsidedow

Great update! I can't believe how crazy EPCOT was! That stinks! Like you said, I guess it was from Food and Wine Festival crowds.
Looking forward to reading more!:goodvibes

Yea! Another Shelly TR! :cool1:
Page 4 already?! I'm going to have a hard time keeping up!

I think that conversational amnesia must be a universal husband problem! Mine does that too.

Can't wait for more! :surfweb:

You're welcome, Jo! ;) When I saw that pic of Shelly and her DS in the plane, the first thing that popped in my head was Leif Garrett. Maybe it was the way his eyes looked kind of sleepy in the pic. Well, they did get up at 4:00 a.m.! I"ve already warned Shelly about the girls, so I didn't rub it in any more!

Yes, that's called the Deep South. That's why every time we say the weather down here, it goes like this: "It's 90, but feels like 110!" Or, "It's 50, but feels like 30!" You know the routine! We've been to Colorado a couple of times, and everyone told us we wouldn't freeze there because it's dry cold. Whatever, I still froze.

You'd better think of a time to go back when it is warm, with no chance of cold.:upsidedow

Oh, BTW, I'm glad we could both come out of mourning to post on Shelly's TR!

I hope it was OK to add that. But I didn't use the F word! ;)

I love the place you went in France for lunch, but I am now just a lil scared about the Epcot crowds associated with F&W and of course this is something DH I had been looking forward to so we made sure to rescheudle next years trip while it is going on. I can see where finding seating for counter serve places would be hard with all the people buying from the F&W kiosks and taking up seating.
It looks like they have totally changed the Living seas since I was last there and I can not recall Captain EO for the life of me but I know we went, this is what I get for making fun of DH memory :rotfl:

You know Jo is right about your DS looking like a young Leif Garrett , now there's a name I haven't heard in years.

I am surprised that FW was busy too , maybe because it was a weekend, cause in doing my research for F&W everything said expect WS to be crowded but not FW.

Can not wait to read more

Poor DH forgot your resort! I guess that's why we always stay at CBR. I like to make it easy on DH so he can't forget LOL.

Bummer about Epcot being so crowded and missing Soarin. Glad you saw Turtle Talk! it's one of our favorites! We did it twice our last trip.

Well at least the crowds made you go do something new at Epcot. Otherwise, you might have missed out on Turtle Talk again this year. We love that attraction! My DD is always trying to figure out "how do they do that!"

We don't like Figment either, so don't feel bad. That whole area to me seems very outdated. We HATED Honey I Shrunk the Audience too. I'd like to see an overhaul of that area. I know there are people who love it, but I'd be happy for it to be replaced altogether. There are actually several attractions in FW that I would say that about. And I have to ask what was CEO about? I've heard about it being new but I have no idea what it is.

Glad I'm not the only one who didn't care for it. It was weird for sure.

I don't think men are as sensitive to the weather stuff as we are. :confused3

Okay, so how is it that you know who Leif Garrett is and I don't??? You are only like a year older than me!! So who is this guy anyway? I only looked up the pic. I didn't take the time to read about him.

Turtle Talk was very cute. I'm glad we finally saw it!

Yeah, I sure wouldn't recommend Captain EO. But you never know until you try it for yourself. Maybe your kids will like it.

You are right, maybe I should consider going to FL when I know there's no chance of it being cold. ;)

Thanks Lauren! Epcot was crazy. I am officially not a F&WF fan!!

Welcome! :goodvibes Glad you are along for the ride!

Sorry your DH has conversational amnesia too. :rotfl:

The F word. :rotfl2: That's football for those of you who don't know!! (This is a family friendly TR after-all!)

JO & Teri like to talk football when they get together. Which is usually on my threads. And I don't watch one bit of football! :rotfl:

I hope you have a better experience at the F&WF than we did. When are you going again? Maybe it was just really crowded for us because it was the last week it was going on. :confused3 I don't really know.

We did get to enjoy a very fun Eat to the Beat concert though! But more on that later. . . :thumbsup2

Bummer about Epcot being so crowded and missing Soarin. Glad you saw Turtle Talk! it's one of our favorites! We did it twice our last trip.

 Maybe I should consider staying at the same resort each time for DH's sake!! Nah! :rotfl:

Turtle Talk was fun. We were bummed about Soarin, we wanted it to be out first ride. But we got to ride it later in the week!

That's true. We probably never would have explored the Seas and done Turtle Talk if it wasn't so crowded everywhere else! My kids spent a lot of the rest of the day trying to figure out how they did that in Turtle talk too! :rotfl:

I agree, that whole area of Epcot could use a refurb. Something about that section by Figment and HISTA (now Captain EO) just looks drab or something. :confused3

Captain EO is a Michael Jackson show. I guess it used to be there then they did away with it and now it's back, for just a short time I think. I hope. :rotfl: I had read about it and thought the kids might enjoy it. It seemed like it might be 80's music/dancing meets Star Wars or something. But it was really just a lot of noise!:upsidedow

Leif Garrett - oh way to make me feel old!!! He did sing some, although I can't remember any songs! I remember him in Tiger Beat magazine with Scott Baio and Andy Gibb. How's that for some 70s flashbacks!!! Who's with me? (no one else wants to admit they're as old as me!)

F&W - from what I've heard, the weekends are usually very busy. That was the last weekend, so I'm sure that had something to do with it as well.
I want to go to F&W, but I will have to remember to plan to attend during the week and not at the tail end. My kids get a four day weekend in October every year, and that's when I'd like to go (and do MNSSHP too!) some year. I guess we'll do the party on the weekend and F&W on the weekday!

I will hopefully have an update to post later this afternoon.

I had to run to town this morning. I pre-ordered the new Epic Mickey Wii game for the kids for Christmas and it was in today! :cool1: I had not even heard of it until we got to WDW. It was on the advertisements inside the buses and we saw stuff about it a few other places. It looks so cool! Is anyone else getting it? I got the collectors edition. It came with the game, a bonus CD, a Wii console cover, a Wii remote cover, and a Mickey figurine. I usually don't buy the extras like that, but it's Disney!!!

Check it out here ~ http://disney.go.com/disneyinteractivestudios/product.html?platform=wii&game=disneyepicmickey

Now I'm headed to the school to help with Santa's Workshop. The PTO puts up a little Christmas shopping store for the kids. It's always fun!

Be back in a bit! :goodvibes

I'm with you, Sheree! :yay: Yep, I remember all those guys...and Tiger Beat!

For those of you too young to remember, Leif Garrett's biggest hit was "I Was Made for Dancin'", which hit #10 in 1979. NO, I didn't remember that all by myself! I looked it up. :surfweb: But now I have it stuck in my head. :headache: The other song of his that I remember was "Put Your Head on My Shoulder".

Sorry, Shelly, back to the Trip Report! :cheer2: And I have to go sing several rounds of "it's a small world" to get whatshisname out of my head! :upsidedow

Looking forward to more reports. Have a ? though. Why do you feel it's better to get a Disney gift card to put for food charges on?. We always just put it on our KTTW card and bill it to the resort and pay it all off at end of trip. Seems the same to me. Any advice?

Thanks for clarifying that Shelly! After I read it posted, I thought maybe it didn't sound appropriate! :guilty:

Ooh, that looks like fun! Lucky boys! ::yes::

Have fun at Santa's Workshop!
