Day #8 April 28, 2010

As we wake on our last day in The World, we will be sad. We'll call for a wake-up call 7am. We'll get ready for the day, pack our carry-ons, and pack what we need for the day in our park backpack. IDepending on how much luggage we actually end up with and where our room is we will either just drag it all up to check or we will grab a cart and roll it all up. I think it all has wheels so we should be ok just walking it there. We will store our luggage for the day and head off to a bus for the Studios again. We are hoping to get a ride or two more on Toy Story Mania and to be able to re-do some of our favorites. We also like all the characters around at the Studios so we might just be doing a lot of hanging out today. The kids are not doing autograph books this time around...we have many hanging out at our house already but if we see someone new or someone we do not have autographs for they will be ready.

We will grab a late breakfast/early lunch, brunch, if you will, at Starring Rolls. I am thinking two adult counter service meals should suffice ($33.00). Those sandwiches look awesome...I love a good sandwich...and the kids will be more than thrilled with junk food (the desserts) for brunch.

Lunch will be at Pizza Planet. It's a no brainer for us...and the kids will kill me if we don't. I think we will have three adult and one kid's meal here for our last hurrah ($47.00)!

I believe Magical Express will pick us up at around 4:15pm so we'll head back to Pop around 3pm -ish. We'll use up any credits we did not manage to use (I think we should be pretty close if not right on with the meal credits but we might have some snack credits left) and then get our luggage and head to sit outside and wait for the bus.

Our flight leaves Orlando at 7:15pm and we arrive back in Chicago at 9:05pm. The kids will probably sleep the whole way home and be excited to see Lou when we get to Midway. Tyler's mouth will move a mile a minute and Skye will pass out again. The dog will jump all over us and sniff us to death and the cat will make an appearance...and then we'll got to sleep in our own beds and start missing Mickey's house all over again!

Well, now that I have whittled my day away at work on here and there are only about six more waking hours in the day left I need to buckle down and figure out what I need to still do!

Tyler and Lou have football practice from 6pm - 8pm and then baseball practice at 8pm. So Tyler will be in good shape...come home, eat dinner, shower and go to bed...and should have no problem sleeping!

Skye and I have to run to Target to get leave-in conditioner, socks for Tyler and a pair or two of shorts for Tyler becasue he out grew most of his ones for last year. Then we have to finish packing and make sure we have evertything charged or charging (phones, PSP, DS). Then she needs to shower and we are going to roll her hair tonight becasue it will just be easier in the morning to unroll and have her look cute for the flight. Then she has to decide what to wear on the plane...which is apparently a huge deal for a six year old! And then she needs to pack a carry-on with stuff to do on the plane. She and Tyler like to bring a lot of little stuffed animals and Chichi and Elle have to come so there has to be room for all of that too. Ooohhh, and Tyler is going to have to pack his too.

I seem so unorganized this time around...ugh!

...and I am still feeling unorganized!!!

We need to go to sleep in about two hours. We leave for the airport, which means vacation really starts, in 9 HOURS!!!!

Skye in in the shower now. Ty and Lou are still at practice. Dinner is done...chicken breast, bow tie noodles, and green beans with milk to drink (the thought was to get one last good, well balanced meal in the kids at least!). Skye and I already ate and she actually ate everything on her plate in mess than 30 minutes...and if you knew Skye, you'd know what an accomplishment that is!

I think I have just about everything packed that can be packed. Skye has packed her carry on. I have packed mine. Ty still has to pack his. We still need to do Skye's hair...if she ever gets out of the shower...and pick out what she is wearing to the airport. I have to shave my legs tonight because I will not feel like it at 3am!!! And I need to touch up my toes and paint my finger nails.

And my hives are back...I thought I had ditched them...they've been pretty much gone for the last day and a half but they are gone no more...GREAT!

Phones are charging and games are charging. American Idol is on in the background.

Why do I feel such a mess???????

Hi! Hope you had a great trip!

You were at Pop right? Did you get a newly refurnished room? Anything new or interesting at Pop...it's been a while since we've been back! How were the crowds?

We are getting so excited! People here at work keep mentioning it with that look in their eye...you know, the one becasue you will be gone for the next week and they will still be here .

No, we didn't get a refurnished room. We had originally requested the 50's section and decided to stick with that. Our room was right in front of the bowling pin pool and was surprisingly quiet compared to our room in the 70's section last year in front of the Twister game! We didn't think it was too crowded at the resort or even the parks. The wait times for the attractions were better this trip, than on any of our previous trips. You're going to have a great time!!!

We're heading out in a few minutes to get to the airport to sit and wait. LOL...but that counts as vacation so we're good!!!!

IMO when you get through security and at the gate... you are officially ON VACATION!!!!!

...and not happy about it! I'm back at work and the kids are in school...and here's a good one...

LOU IS AT WORK!!!!​

He got called for the Census Taker job and started training this week. It is only temporary and will probably screw up his unemployment but it is real work and that feels good! And he was told that if he does a good job, it could lead to other things, although that is a low possibility. And it pays much less than a Union Carpenter...but about the same as a Union Carpenter's unemployment...so we'll see what happens.

After this trip, I think I have the kids comvinced to save money to take Daddy back...we'll cover that later... so, now to the trip report and the scrapbooking...and letting you in on the good, the bad, the ugly, and the wonderful!!!!

I know, I know...I am falling behind already and I have not even started yet! But the good news is that dance is over...football is over...and baseball is almost over...so that means I should have more time to sit at the computer and do this thing!!!!

Ok, so, we've been back for over a month and I have not told you guys anything about the trip!!! I am a bad trip reporter!

Before I can do that though I need to catch you up on the goings on up to the trip...
