I believe the new personal 15 digit discount codes are geared towards family,

not couples and definitely not singles. Prove me wrong, please. As I read through the details of those receiving 40% codes, it seems to be leaning strongly towards families.

Let's face it. Disney can deeply discount the room if they are getting you to eat and play there in numbers. All their marketing is geared towards a family of four.

I'd like to hear especially from single people getting codes, especially if your profile on Disney is for a single.

I do not know who they target, but all I know is I am a family and I NEVER get one.:confused3

1) Disney direct cods (post cards, email, etc) are given to gain business.
2) They go by past stays and likelihood of future stays.
3) Especially at times when they need additional room bookings.

4) How the formula works, is a secret (and not to me).
5) But, families seem to have the best chance.
6) However, I personally know of singles (old and young) who received offers.
7) Just not that many, proportionally - to my knowledge.

I am single, in my mid 20's, no kids and live alone and I got the 40% off pin code coupon.

Of course I won't be using it though..lol.. I wish I could let someone else use it.

and I received a discount code...We sure are using it, too! Don't know how we got picked, but I am excited about it.:rolleyes1

I'm single. 22. Got a code two weeks ago :)

Now, I don't travel as a single, but my profile certainly reflects that I am.

I wish i could get a code too!!! So those codes can only be used by the person or family who recieved the offer?

My husband and I got the 40% code, and we don't have kids.

This is encouraging to know since we live about 40 miles from each other. Perhaps one day soon Disney will grace DH and I with a postcard.

I have never recieved a code ever. Not when I was a single, not vefore DH & I had kids and not since we've had kids. So I suppose I/we just don't fit the "profile" required to get a code.

We actually didn't get it on a postcard - we got it in an email from Disney Destinations. I would suggest subscribing to every mailing list you can find on Disney's website. The email came on January 8. Already booked for December!

It's good to see the responses from the single or couple crowd getting codes. Thanks for letting me know there is hope for us all.:thumbsup2

Our only visits to Disney have been as a family, and we have never received a post card or email. However, a single friend I work with, who has never even been to Disney, walked into my classroom (because she knows how much I love Disney) with a mailer asking me, "Do you know what this is?" I was floored. So at least I can say I've seen one! LOL! I think it really is completely random.

I'm a single traveler, who got a PIN last year for peak season (prime family time, IMO).
Never gotten one good for my dates, though.

I never received one when I was single, after I was married, and now that we are expecting, we still havent received one! LOL

Very discouraging, but I dont think there is a profile....but instead, it just seems to be total luck of the draw.

We are family dissers. I received an email this morning for only 20% or a value rate of $82. I'd LOVE a 40% code. I'm happy that I got an email. That means I'm on someone's list!!

The only time my DH and I ever received a pin code was before we had kids. Honestly, we were receiving cards about every 6 months for about 2.5 years and we never utilized a single one. The cards even followed us to a new home.:confused3

Now that we have a family, we never get cards.
