Some of us are very concerned about this upcoming election on NOV.2... I realize that some people do not want to be bothered with statistics, poll results etc. However... I hope they are not the people who will be complaining the loudest about government policies after NOV. 2....
If you do not want to listen to political telephone callers.. all you have to do is POLITELY say " I am not interested, PLEASE take me off of your calling list." If a city, county, state, federal candidate knocks on your door and you are not interested in learning about his ideas... say "No thank you, have a good day"
Not hard at all.. really.
I have just spent several hours calling registered Democrats/Independents in my county who did not vote in the last election.. I am urging them to vote .... I only had one hang up. Most were willing to listen to me urge them to vote on Nov. 2, since this is a very important election with many issues to decide. I am working with the County Democratic Committee.
The statement about candidates approving the message in general public announcements is necessary because then you know right away if the candidate KNOWS what is being said about him. Especially important for those negative commercials and print ads..
