I am Thrilled!!! Just Got a Call from Jackie at DVC

Wow, I never expected to get a call from her. I sent in an e-mail thanking DVC to create the BW view category and asked about the possibility of having ocean view category at VB. She actually called today. She was very very nice and told me that they don't plan to add that at VB.

She also said that she does check on this board to see what members are saying. Isn't that nice?!!!!

I love my DVC membership!!!!!:p

Actually, I think it's really smart on her part! Good for her and good for DVC.
 
Hey, I sent email but Jackie didn't call ME. Who do I write to in order to complain? DId you write at the 11 month window or wait until the 7 month window? heehee :jester:

I just got a call from Jackie too, thanking me for the email I sent the other night re: the new policy. Basically just a thank-you for comments and we're glad to hear from members, but it was nice. I was expecting another call, so was surprised enough to not think of one single question to ask her - doh! I wanted to ask her what the policy officially was at the other DVCs... first-come or reservation date. Of course, I remembered that just as we hung up. I'm glad some other folks were a bit more coherent!
 

I received a call also to thank me for my email - which was in support of the new BWV room category and to thank them for the call back for my prior email which was a question if "non-smoking for medical reasons" is guaranteed.

Thank you Jackie!
 
Well, to paraphrase what she said, it is not guaranteed in the same sense of the handicapped room, but because 97% of their rooms are non-smoking and the medical reasons are pre-selected, the non-smoking room is assured.

How's that for Disney-speak? ;)

I was satisfied with that assurance.
 
Jackie has been responsive to letters I have sent as well. She has a very difficult role in DVC.

No but it is given a high priority and apparently will still be preassigned.
 
I received a call from Jackie today also. I had called her Friday, but, she was out until Tuesday. A return call today was, IMHO, very rapid (and from the looks of all the calls she made today, she was one busy lady).
My issues were the lack of smoking accomodations and non members getting member perqs. She did say that she does not forsee 100% non smoking in the near future. I mentioned that if it did go 100% non smoking that I believed it would cause a LOT of problems for both non smokers and smokers.
I discussed non members getting member perqs and how it could make members feel less than special, which we are always assured we are. I am sure, with a decent IT person, rooms could be coded or they could ask for a member card.
Those were my issues and I think Jackie is a very nice person.
 
timC, Jackie Leuders is our Member Satisfaction Manager at DVC. Essentially she is the key person if you have a problem or if you want to pass on a compliment regarding a CM.
 
I have sent Jackie several emails about the change in room assignment policy and never got anything back from her. Frankly, I think she may be more inclined to respond to positive comments then to answering those of us that are disturbed with current policy. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have been disappointed to not even get an acknowledgement that I had sent something to her. I did use the often posted address from this board.

I need to tell you that my comments were less than positive on my phone message and she did return my call.

Good for you and good for Jackie. DVC is very very smart to keep in touch with its members. Whenever a response is received like this one, we tend to see a post and it makes me feel like they really do listen and care. Therefore, that one phone call affects not just the receiver but those of us who read the post as well. Thanks for filling us in. Good job, Jackie.

Debby7, it is my understanding that if you send an email to Jackie, then you will automatically receive an acknowledgement within an hour of DVC receiving your email. This automatic acknowledgement will let you know your email was received & someone (probably Jackie) will get back to you within 2-3 business days.

Are you sending your emails to members@disneyvacationclub.com with a subject of "attn: Jackie?" It is also my understanding that Jackie either calls or emails everyone who contacts her whether you have a positive comment or a not so positive comment. If you send another email & do not hear back from her, please feel free to send me a private message on the DIS & we can discuss how to contact Jackie further. I would be glad to help :).
