This is our second yr with annual passes to WDW.. it is extremely fun going with my mom and sister (16) but it seems like I am the only one who really APPRECIATES the magic at Disney. I mean, my mom and sis have fun but I am the only one who wants to.. for example.. go to One Man's Dream in MGM.. My sis appreciates the "art" aspect of Disney but couldn't care less if we didn't have breakfast at Cinderella's Castle. I am extremely grateful that I have the chance to go so often but just wish sometimes that there was another Disney nut in my family who understood me! :-P

Ahhhhh! I know just how you feel! DH likes it well enough but would rather sit on a boring, sandy, sweaty beach. :confused3 My sister and mom like it but not nearly as much as I do. I gave birth to 2 kids hoping ONE of them is a Disney freak like their mom! :rolleyes: ( I gave birth for other reasons too but, come on, it's DISNEY!)

Maybe we could be Dis sisters!

There is magic at the parks....there is something about the feeling you get when you walk in that just feels magical. I know what you mean :earsboy:

::MickeyMo I guess I'm lucky that my boyfriend is just as nuts about Disney as I am. It's funny - he reads these boards all the time trying to find out things I don't know. He's really into it. After all, the day we started going out...we were in Disney...aaahh! ::MinnieMo

That's sweet. No one I know can relate so it kinda sucks.. my sister's friend can but shes a bit timid if you know what I mean

::yes::Even at home the disney commercials get me every time. I see the castle and the fireworks and the faces of people there...I almost start to get happy tears!!!:sad:

I hear ya. I am hopelessly obsessed with Disney :love: and hope to work for them one day. Most of my friends don't get it. So I'll just have to make it my mission to show them the most magical vacation ever, to help them understand. :dancer:

Ditto! ::yes::

My husband didn't really "get it" until we went on the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Once he learned about all the details and planning that went into the park and all about Walt's vision he seemed to appreciate it so much more. Maybe spring for the tour for your mom and sister and see if that does the trick.

I totally agree! I mean, my family feels the same way I do about Disney, we love going because you just get totally swept up in all the magic! But most of my friends haven't been there, and they just don't understand. A lot of them relate Disney World to little kids...they just don't get that it is SO much more than that! So many people have discovered how truly magical it is there...I think more people should take the opportunity to visit Disney sometime, so they can experience that Disney "feeling!" :wizard:

Like a lot of other things in this world: Baseball, Expensive wines, curling up with a good book, NASCAR - either someone "gets" Disney or they don't. Just consider yourself lucky that you get it!

I think it is so cool that you are 14 and you get the Magic of Disney. I think the more you know about the parks, the classic movies, and the history of the company, the more interesting it is. :earsboy:
