I never realized how geeky I was until today...

Here it is the last week of work (I work at a school)

Most teachers/staff are sick of curriculum and are now reading fun fluffy books, or fluffy magazines. They are pulling out my fun reading.. and I whip out my Chemistry textbook to read in between classes for some "quick light reading".

When did Chemistry text become "quick light reading?"

Tell me I am not the geekiest one here!

Nope... I realized I was a geek when I was watching Sci-fi, while fixing my laptop and searching for a program to record live365 radio.

Then I realized I was a geek cause I find reading computer user guides FUN!

edited to add: my co-workers call me the techno-geek!
:teeth:

Don't be ashamed to be a geek! Without them, we'd still be hunting wooly mammoths with wood & stone spears, living in caves and wearing animal skins.

Hooray for geeks!

When my boys referred to other kids as geeks, I remind them of one very important truth: GEEKS HAVE THE LAST LAUGH IN LIFE!

Isn't someone supposed to have advised a group of students:

Be nice to geeks: you'll end up working for one!

I love being a geek. I tell people all the time:

Geeks rule the world. Need more proof: Bill Gates!

LOL! This thread is cracking me up! This is shameful..but I have no idea what DH does. So on forms when they ask his postion I always write computer geek!

I usually get the people to smile!

I think I can surpass you in the "geekiest" category.. You know all those trashy love novels and stuff that people read on the beach?

I read - the dictionary !!

Now that's about as "geeky" as a person can get - LOL..

I went through that phase too.:teeth: around high school. My parents had this gigantic webster's dictionary (I swear it was 6 inches thick) and I thought wouldn't it be cool if I could read the whole thing from aa to z?

Hi, I'm Nancy and I've been a geek for 30 years now. I'm currently on step 9 - Acceptance. It's been a difficult road up to now.

Thank you.:teeth:

In high school I use to think my future husband was a geek. My mom called him "a studious boy". Well call him anything you want! He takes us to disney once a year. This time during Indiana Jones he decided to read his book on parellel universes and dimensions. Read on my disney dh! He even invented one of the top 100 inventions in america one year.

You are not a geek! Enjoy your chemistry book.:D :D
