When we originally booked our flight, our return was a nonstop at 3:30 and landing around 6:00. Well, they changed it once to 6:51- which was pushing it since we have little ones. Well, now the time has been changed to 7:49, which means we won't land until almost 10:00:scared1: We have to work the next day and we won't get home until at least 11:30.

I have no idea what to do now. It is now their only nonstop flight of the day. The connecting flights are at least 5 hours or more, so those won't work. If I cancel- I would have to drive to another airport, as this one doesn't have any fares any where close. What to do!!!

I am not sure when you are going, but we are flying on AirTran at the end of September and they have changed our flight times twice! The first time was getting us into Orlando much later then the original flight so I called them and worked with them to get on different flights, which were still later then the original but better then what the email was offering. But I just got a notice last week and they have changed the times again! This time I am back to where I was originally!!
So there is a possibility that the times could change again and you could be closer to where you were originally!

Let's hope so. It is the only nonstop of the day and I don't want to change it away from a nonstop and then they change again. So, I am holding out and praying for a miracle!

Give them a call and see what other options you have. They did the same thing to me last year and I got them to move me to the previous day, back to a non-stop flight and they didn't charge me. It was early enough that I was able to move my WDW reservation also.

I would just explain you picked a non-stop flight due to having a baby and arriving that late isn't going to work.

I did call them, but there aren't any other nonstops that day. The other times have huge layovers, which don't make a lot of sense. We could do first thing in the morning, but if ME leaves 3 hours in advance, that would be 5:00 in the morning:scared1:

I guess we will just wait and see if they move it back a little. I truly don't understand why there only nonstop that day would be so late....:confused3

That is the way it is to my local airport too. Our non-stop flight landed at about 11pm. Our flight home was changed a few times, it probably ended up an hour later than orginally scheduled.

Airtran usually has a ton of flight times at first, but then it seems the consolodate planes and a lot of those times vanish.

I guess you have to decide if you would rather leave Orlando really early, or get back really late. Which would your little ones handle better?

If none of the flights AirTran is offering fits your needs, they will give you a refund. But before you ask for a refund, be sure to check fares on alternate airlines. You may or may not find a fare similar to when you booked originally. If AirTran flies out of a different airport near you, they will allow you to switch to that airport. There won't be any additional charge to change airports, nor will you have to pay the difference if the new flight is more expensive.

Take a deep breath... there may not be much you can do. Chances are you're going to be tired the next day at work anyway. Usually happens to me after a trip. No, the time isn't ideal. Short of canceling AirTran and booking another airline this appears to be your only choice. You'll live, the kids will live. May take an extra day to recover... but everyone will happily survive.

:thumbsup2

The flights are that late because everyone wants to stay in Disney as long as possible!!! those are the flights that sell out first. Most people figure they will A be tired the next day anyway. B. take a nap on the plane.

I would be thrilled if they pushed my flight later! Unfortunately mine usually get pushed earlier, booooo

ITA. We always take the late non-stop return flight. I don't remember ever being on the later flight where most, if not all, of the smaller (and alot of older) children weren't so tired that they slept through the whole flight - even my night-owl DGS.

:sad2:OUr flight leaves at 7 am to go to Disney and our flight home leaves at 7:30 pm with one layover we won't get to our home airport until 11:40 pm. We have a 1.5 hour drive home after that. I am not working the next day due to this but my poor DH will have to. The flight home was the only one that they had. Period....:sad2:

Your flight might be the last one of the day for that plane, it will sit at your airport overnight and the crew will overnight there. Is the non-stop to Orlando in the early morning? That plane would service that flight.
