Bon Jovi tickets for the 4/22 Kansas City concert were set to go on sale this morning at 10AM. I got online at Ticketmaster and was getting an error that the event was not in their database. I thought maybe they cancelled the date or something so I went to the official concert website. The KC date was still listed and I clicked to buy tickets there and got the same message. A few minutes later I tried again and got in. I went through the process to get the tickets but I was distracted by DH and the kids. When I got my confirmation e-mail I realized that I bought tickets to the Nashville show on 4/24. :sad2: I can't believe I did this. I did e-mail Ticketmaster's customer service to see if they can void the transaction but something tells me they will just tell me to sell them myself.

I am usually so careful about checking everything and I can't believe I did this. Now I am out $200+ for tickets that I can't use and I really don't have the money to actually buy tickets to the KC show now either so I guess I will miss out entirely. :sad2:

I would call Tickermaster(ask to speak with supervisor/manager) directly and explain to them what happened. Not sure what they would do, but it is worth a try??

I am sorry to hear about your problem. I have heard that Ticketmaster will sometimes let you exchange your tickets as a one time thing. I have my fingers crossed for you. Have you looked into selling the tickets on their exchange site? At least you would not be out the money. Good luck!

Right about this same time last year, DH made a similar mistake with ticketmaster. He bought tix to take me to a show on Broadway, but kept going back and forth checking seats for different dates. When he hit the BACK button, the Ticketmaster site reset the date. He ended up getting tix for the right show but the completely wrong date! We were able to exchange them with the theater over the phone to use the tix on a later date.

I really hate the small amount of time that the Ticketmaster site gives you to complete a transaction. It isn't enough time to write your information AND doublecheck everything.

Good Luck, OP!

I almost did the same thing once. I thought I was buying tickets to Elton John in L.A., but it was LA (as in Louisiana). Luckily there was an error on the TM site when I put in my code, and the sale didn't go through.

I hope you get tickets to the KC show. I'm going to see Garth Brooks at the new Sprint Center on Monday, but I wish I were going to see Jon Bon Jovi instead! (DH wants to see Garth).

Becka, let me know if you can't exchange those tickets. I would love to buy them from you if you decide to sell them.

Update - I did get a hold of Ticketmaster and thankfully they refunded all of my money. I am very thankful they did because I know they could have just told me I was out of luck.

Tina - Sorry I didn't see your message earlier but they should be available again. Decent seats but they sure are $$$$.

Wow awfully nice of ticketmaster. But does this mean your out of luck for tickets in your area?

no problem at all and you can ignore the PM. I'm glad you got your money back

I just checked and the only seats available are behind the stage with "a limited view". :sad2: I refuse to pay $150 for two seats when I won't be able to see anything. I guess it was just not meant to be. :sad2: I guess I can hope they might add a St. Louis date later next year.

Glad to hear you got your money back!:goodvibes Often times, Ticketmaster releases great seats a week or so before the concert. My nephew swears he will never buy tickets in advance again because he has gotten better seats just prior to the show. Good luck!

We're going to Bon Jovi April 30 in Atlanta and have 3 extra tix we need to sell. Long story short...We puchased our own at the same time my friend was making a purchase for us as well. Ahhh! I can't wait:cool1:

If it makes you feel any better, on our last trip to Disney, I somehow booked the flights originating in Orlando & arriving in our hometown, then going from our hometown a week later to Orlando! :scared1:

Fortunately Southwest was very understanding and fixed them for me with no charge. Don't feel bad, it happens.

April 22 is my birthday, and I would love to see Bon Jovi! Gotta figure out how far Kansas City is from me...I imagine at least 6 hours away. (Just checked MapQuest: 395 miles, 6 hours 22 minutes.) I could see them in Chicago in February - but I'd rather do something special for my birthday.

**Looking at Ticketmaster's site - you can order them for Nashville for 4/24 but not for KC for 4/22.

Keep checking Ticketmaster closer to the date of the concert. They release tickets all the time. We got great seats for Bon Jovi in DC a few nights before the concert last year. We were 1st section from the stage on Hugh's side. Doesn't hurt to keep searching. We tried ticketmaster on Saturday and the system was really messed up....Nothing came up at 10 am. Ended up getting fan club seats, only problem with that is we don't get our tickets until that night and we only know we are in the 1st 20 rows. Good luck!!!!!!

There's no way to know if this will happen, but twice now I've gotten "restricted" or limited view seats, at two different arenas, and they were AMAZING seats. Both were for U2, and both times they might have had a slightly limited view, in that they were right behind the stage, and during the first concert the limitations were caused by the catwalk Bono used to come up and interact with the people in my area. Swoon.

You can't guarantee that, but it might happen. You never know what, exactly, is the thing limiting the view.
