I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Love it ! Thanks for the shout out :rotfl2:

Anything for you, Pat!

Sorry Breakfast was not as good as it had once been.

It happens; there are lots of places we do love..

:rotfl2: at Avery in Dinosaur. I can still do EE multiple times but I will admit it is getting harder to handle that backwards part. Sometimes I feel like my head is going to explode.

She is just too cute for words. I don't know how anyone can do it multiple times.

Great DISmeet Look like you had a fun time!!!

We had a great time...a lot of laughter.

Thanks for the hug, Dee.

What a fantastic meet!!! So glad you had such a nice time at lunch and shopping with friends.

I can't wait to do it again.

Sounds like a productive visit moving in Andy and Des.

It went very well (in between the rain).

I'm sure it is a little bit :goodvibes and a little bit :sad1:

Yes a little bit of both. I'm happy that they are happy, but I miss him (I won't tell him that though ;)).

Love the pics of the kids in Ireland!!

Thanks, Ann.

What a brave woman you are to go to DQ. I went once and that was enough for me.

Trust me, unless I have a boatload of grandsons, it will be the LAST time I go.

The boat from OKW to DTD... was it as easy as from POR to DTD? I am not sure how or why but I did not see the launch... :confused3 and I don't remember going by OKW from POR. It takes a different route?

The launch is right when you walk out of the Registration building and head towards the pool area; just before you turn left for the pool and Gurgling Suitcase, it is right there (near the flags). It is a very easy boat ride. They use different channels as I know we don't pass POR when we go.

Your meal at RR makes me want to hurry and try and book an ADR there. YUM! And how cool that the girls got to participate!!!

It's a great place!

The girls and starbucks..... :rotfl2:

Seriously, I thought their daddy was going to kill me when I saw him in Vegas.

That is so disappointing to hear that TH was not great. It always is one of my favorites. :sad2:

I'm sure it was an off day; but we are going to give it a rest for awhile.

Poor Avery on Dinosaur. I really enjoy that ride too...but at that point I always feel just like her... the need to duck. It is so loud!

It is loud...I'll give you that.

You may not have liked EE but that is a great ride photo of you! I hear ya though...that backwards part is why I can do it once... How my kids can ride it over and over is beyond me.

Thanks; I don't know how anyone does it more than once.

Yay for the dismeet! So fun to have at disney but even better when it is IRL!!!

Aren't real life DIS meets fun? You've had your share as well.

Whoop whoop on the DIS meets! I saw the pics on Facebook and sounds you guys had a great time meeting Danielle and her family!

Thanks, Tanz; we really did have fun.

Love AK and Tusker House...glad the girls enjoyed their visit and meeting the characters :)

The characters were a lot of fun.

Reporting back ..........

YAY...you are back.

I was 25 pages behind after 5 weeks of absense, so THANK YOU for links on the first page. ;)

Always glad to help with the links.

But, I am all caught up again - there is too much to comment on in detail ......

Love the girls pics! Love the pics from Vegas and the DISmeet. Sounds like you had an awesome time at WDW with the girls ... and some yummy food! :rotfl2:

Thanks, Karin. We did have an awesome time. I' going to miss not going next year.

First, :grouphug: about the anniversary of your dad's passing.

Thank you Katie.

Glad to hear Andy and Des got all moved in, and what a FUN Dis-meet! Looks like a great time. One of these days when I am in the Chicago area, it'd be fun to get together with you.

It was a smooth move-in. And the DIS meet was just awesome. I'm still planning on us getting together when we are in Iowa for more than a day or when you are here. Wewould love that.

I read your post this weekend about the Dismeet on my phone and couldn't see any pictures, so I came back on regular computer because I didn't want to miss out on those pictures. I was sure they would be great and they were! It looked like you and Mark had a great time. I hope to be able to run into you guys and Danielle's family sometime.

Thanks; they are just super people and so much fun. Mark fit right in with Popadon which I knew he would. I hope we meet one day too.

They really look like such a fun family! I'm glad you were able to meet with them and have such a great time.

Thanks, Sheresa. They are a hoot!

BTW, are those antibiotics kicking in yet? I hope you are on the downhill stretch for this rotten cold.

Let me tell you. I thought Sunday night I was dying. I was up 3/4 of the nigh coughing my head off. I called the doctor on Monday and told her I felt good Saturday and great on Sunday...until the evening (I still had one more pill for Monday night). She said I probably overdid it (I cleaned all day on Sunday and may have inhaled the Comet, vinegar, Pledge, etc). and if I wasn't better by the end of the week, I needed to go for the chest x-ray. I'm happy to report that I'm probably at about 85%. I'm still coughing...but nothing like I had been...I am definitely at the tail end. Thank you for asking.

What a fun Dismeet! Papadon looks like a riot! I will have to check out Danielle's TR.

Thanks, Clare. He really is a riot! You will love Danielle's TR.

I love your retro WDW shirt!

Thanks. :)

It was so much fun to meet you guys! I'm so happy that we were able to do it. We will do it again soon!

Yes...let's do it again soon. Laughter is truly the best medicine and I felt a whole lot better after our time together. :)

Hot Topic is totally dangerous, right? I find it even more dangerous online.

I've been on the website twice this week. :rotfl:

We will overlap someday in Disney. I will make it so!

We will have to really work on this!

Got caught up last night as I was falling asleep. Thank you all for convincing me to skip DQ till someone else brings it up. lol Always love your trips to AK. The girls are so cute. Wish I could have helped with EE. I would have loved to have taken your place and rode with Avery. Looked like a fun dismeet. Omg that Ireland Mickey is adorable.

Sandy, good to see you. Yes, do skip DQ for as long as you can. I would gladly have let you take my place. :rotfl2:

Glad the move was harmless! and what a great Dis MEET!!!! :worship: Everyone is SO CUTE!!! Looks like you all had a great time!!

Mo, ,I'm glad it went smoothly; Andy had two of his oldest friends (they all played baseball together as kids) helping. We had a blast at the DIS meet. Now, when the heck are we meeting?

It's nice to not have to sit and wait for them. Especially when you've got a morning park ADR. :thumbsup2

It worked out perfectly.

Hey, Kathy. I don't know if you realize this, but donut holes taste exactly the same. Just get more of them. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Yes and no; I prefer eating two full ones than a bunch of little ones though. :rotfl2:

At least she enjoys it and wants to do it!

She says she likes it; but I think she figures she has to do it because I do EE with her. ;)

The ride that makes it worth the trip over to AK!!!! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

You are entitled to your opinion. :lmao:

Oh, come on!

I'll let you young ones do that.

I'm sure Mark would absolutely hate that. :rolleyes1

I'm sure!

BA0006_dt.jpg

Oh, now you went and made me cry. Thank you, Andy...that truly was very sweet of you.

Naturally! :rotfl2:

Where else would we go? Well, we could have gone in front of the Starbucks I suppose since they drink it as well.

Love the pictures from the DIS meet Kathy - such fun !

Thanks, Linda; we had such a good time.

I was a few updates behind, so here are all of my comments!

Hi, Steph.

Sorry you had a bad experience at Tusker House. Mine was good in May, but we had a fantastic server which helped. The food was good, though it was not my favorite breakfast.

A good server always makes it seem a bit better. Definitely NOT my favorite breakfast either.

I love both the Dinosaur and EE pictures! :rotfl: You do look like you're enjoying yourself at least on EE, even if you weren't really. I really love that one, but I can certainly understand why some people don't like the backwards part.

It's funny...we used to go to Kings Island in Ohio and I would go on the backwards roller coaster like 10 times in a row with my youngest son and it never bothered me. It's got to be an age thing.

 for the anniversary of your Dad's passing

Thank you friend.

Fun DISmeet!

It really was.

Such a sweet picture of your dad and the boys Kathy. I know you treasure it.

I do; it's on my desk and it's on my cabinet in my kitchen. I still can't take it down.

Super DISmeet with Danielle and her family! Love the mugs, and of course Mark was able to find the opportunity to pose for a hat picture!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Marv. We had so much fun with Danielle and her Mom and Popadon. We had people laughing with us at lunch. Does Mark ever go anywhere and NOT find an opportunity to pose for a hat picture?

Our day complete at the Animal Kingdom, it was time to head to our next destination.

I believe we took a bus to the MK but I don't remember for sure.

We arrived and got through bag check and walked through the entrance and came upon these guys:

We decided to head to COP (I needed a nap). On the way, I took a few statue shots:

And one for honey:

We arrived here

There wasn't much of a wait before we were let in. As usual, we were told NO photos allowed. I wasn't worried...I planned on napping. That is until the attraction was totally off whack and off sync. It was annoying as all heck that I couldn't get in my quick catnap. :lmao::lmao:

Next up, Mary and the girls rode this:

We then went to see Ariel

We stopped in the gift shop on the way out of the new Fantasyland and Cayley needed to pose for me

I believe this was the day the girls were determined to torcher me. First EE, then COP and NOW this:

Next up was Mickey's Philharmagic:

Back to Tomorrowland for some FP+ we were able to pick up for Buzz:

Continued in next post

After defeating Zurg yet again, we were hungry. And lucky for us, it was time to check in for our ADR.

We were dining here:

(Tony's Town Square in case you couldn't figure it out)

We waited about ten minutes for our table and then were led in. We were seated at a table right next to the booth where we ate on our last girls trip. And we had the same waiter this time too. He was okay; a little slow, but very nice.

Cayley got busy drawing:

And then being silly

Mary's salad

My calamari (the best part of the meal)

Mary's chicken parmesan (she said it was only okay)

My spaghetti and meatballs (eh...fair at best)

Cayley's spaghetti

And Avery's

I'm not sure who had what for dessert

Guess who was being a bad, bad baby again

We finished up dinner, saw a little bit of the Shake It Parade and then went back to the resort. The girls wanted to play with their dolls, and Mary and I wanted to get some packing done as the next day would be our last full day and we were having friends meet up with us later in the day.

Up next, another day at Epcot

I saw the photos of your meet up with Danielle on FB but I had to laugh at the photos of Papadon giving smooches! What a fun get together.

I'm good for CoP but IaSW I'm starting to pass up in favor of something a little less repetitive with the singing. ;) Since you missed a nap on CoP, Philharmagic is always a good back up for that activity.

Sounds like Tony's was just ok. At least you enjoyed the calamari. I love the cannelloni but nothing else seems to appeal to me.

Nice followup to AK- No matter what attractions you do in MK, it always feels magical to be there.

But, an out-of-whack COP does not sound like fun!

No sleeping on Small World- no telling the nightmares you might have

:lmao:

Actually, for the first time in forever I rode IASW on a whim last week (too hot to go anywhere else) and I was treated with a surprise that made me glad I did.

That's great that you were able to get a FP for Buzz. How were the kiosks when you got there? Are you able to sign up for 3 available attractions when you enter a new park?

We cancelled the one reservation we had at Tony's because my son was not feeling well, and we haven't been back. MK is more of a QS park for us, although I wouldn't mind trying dinner at Be Our Guest. Mostly, we check out on of the resort restaurants (Kona, I'm looking at YOU!)

:goodvibes:

Oh No! Sorry you didn't get your nap in! That's just obnoxious when stuff isn't synced!
Especially all the torture you had to endure!!! :rotfl2:
YUM! Love calamari! spaghetti? chef boyardee must have been in town! :cool1:

I think WE (you mark and my gang) need to go to Ireland now.. just to pick up some Ireland Disney stuff.. I thinks a legit reason.. Touring with world for Disney stores! I am sure the travel channel will want to Syndicate us.. We rock!

I would LOVE to meet up the week i get back. The week before you leave? :scratchin do lunch?

I think dinner looks good...of course looks doesn't mean tastes good. Too bad you couldn't get your nap. LOL

Your meet with Danielle and her folks looked so fun! I haven't been to Gurnee Mills in quite awhile. With the kids grown, no need to go to Great America. I didn't know there was a Disney Store there. Is it a true outlet store or is it the same as the ones in malls?

Oh the Dapper Dans! On my very first visit to the Magic Kingdom in 1985, I encountered the Dapper Dans upon my entry to Main Street. Your photo of them brings a tear to my eye. They make me sappy and I'm always happy to be wearing sunglasses around them.

I've only eaten at Tony's once and I'm not sure I'd ever return. I wouldn't call it terrible, but considering we only do one table service restaurant a day, there are so many better options.

Such torture those girls put you through. EE. Carousel of Progress. IASM. You poor, poor woman. :rotfl2:

Dinner looked good, even if was only so-so. I could go for that cupcake right about now. Not even 9 in the morning, and I'm having a sweets craving...

Kathy, I am sorry I got so far behind again.

Sorry that EE made you feel sick.:sad1:

Pure torture! At least they didn't make you do the teacups too!

Oh Tony's. Sorry it wasn't better.

I knew about the plans with Danielle because I remember just a passing comment about meeting in Gurnee in someone's TR and I know that she only lives one suburb north of me. I had hoped it would work with my summer plans to surprise you, but in PMing with Danielle that's how I found out that you guys were coming to our neck of the woods the same weekend Ryan and I were out of town at an anime convention.

Too bad CoP didn't work out for your nap.

I miss the Teacups! They were down for refurbishment during our trip in 2013, and Chubasco at Six Flags just isn't the same.

COP is always good for a nap. :thumbsup2
Hahaha oh Kathy, a day of Disney torture for sure (though not for my preferences!)
You guys got quite a bit done at MK!
I like Tony's well enough. We've always had reviews similar to yours, but it's a pretty cute place to eat.

Sounds like a fun afternoon at MK! :lmao: Sorry you were tortured further with COP and IASW, your favorite slow boat to China!

Too bad Tony's was not all that good of a meal, especially with Tusker being disappointing that morning. I've only eaten at Tony's once, my first visit when I was 13 years old, and don't remember much except that I got pizza.

Oh, and the pictures of the girls were adorable, as always! :goodvibes

I wasn't worried...I planned on napping. That is until the attraction was totally off whack and off sync. It was annoying as all heck that I couldn't get in my quick catnap. :lmao::lmao:
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: I always find it entertaining there to watch and see which animatronic is out of sync or off line. Seems like there's always something.

We stopped in the gift shop on the way out of the new Fantasyland and Cayley needed to pose for me
Sword fight!!!!

I believe this was the day the girls were determined to torcher me. First EE, then COP and NOW this
But did they change your plans 10 times that day also? :confused3

A morning of torture....no nap....poor food? Geez, you really needed some pixie dust!! pixiedust: On the bright side, you could have been home mopping the floors huh? ;) Hopefully the rest of the day goes a lot better!

I saw the photos of your meet up with Danielle on FB but I had to laugh at the photos of Papadon giving smooches! What a fun get together.

Brenda, I fell in love with him immediately...such a charmer.

I'm good for CoP but IaSW I'm starting to pass up in favor of something a little less repetitive with the singing. ;) Since you missed a nap on CoP, Philharmagic is always a good back up for that activity.

Oh I couldn't sleep in Philharmagic...I love that show. I'm so upset it is closed our entire trip. :(

Sounds like Tony's was just ok. At least you enjoyed the calamari. I love the cannelloni but nothing else seems to appeal to me.

Yes, it was just okay; I put it a step below Olive Garden.

Nice followup to AK- No matter what attractions you do in MK, it always feels magical to be there.

It truly does, Dee.

But, an out-of-whack COP does not sound like fun!

It was the music out-of-whack, we would move and then it would stop and we could hear the next section's talk...it was awful.

No sleeping on Small World- no telling the nightmares you might have

Ain't that the truth!

Actually, for the first time in forever I rode IASW on a whim last week (too hot to go anywhere else) and I was treated with a surprise that made me glad I did.

I can't wait to hear what that is.

That's great that you were able to get a FP for Buzz. How were the kiosks when you got there? Are you able to sign up for 3 available attractions when you enter a new park?

You can only get one each time, but we never waited more than 5 minutes; they had lots of CM's helping.

I've enjoyed BOG all three times we've had dinner there; we also enjoy The Plaza and Liberty Tree for lunch and I can't miss my breakfast at Crystal Palace. But I'm with you on Kona...I'm still trying to find a way to squeeze it in for dinner next month after my great meal there in June.

Oh No! Sorry you didn't get your nap in! That's just obnoxious when stuff isn't synced!

That attraction is obnoxious to begin with. :duck:

Especially all the torture you had to endure!!! :rotfl2:

Two of my least favorite attractions in one day. :headache:

YUM! Love calamari! spaghetti? chef boyardee must have been in town! :cool1:

I do too. The first time I tried it my husband wouldn't tell me what it was because he knew if he did, I wouldn't eat it. :lmao:

I think WE (you mark and my gang) need to go to Ireland now.. just to pick up some Ireland Disney stuff.. I thinks a legit reason.. Touring with world for Disney stores! I am sure the travel channel will want to Syndicate us.. We rock!

A girl with big dreams...I love it.

I would LOVE to meet up the week i get back. The week before you leave? :scratchin do lunch?

When do you get back? If we can work it out, I would love it. I only get an hour and have to go somewhere relatively close to the office.

I think dinner looks good...of course looks doesn't mean tastes good. Too bad you couldn't get your nap. LOL

It looked fine, it was just very blah! Yes, I needed one that day too.

Your meet with Danielle and her folks looked so fun! I haven't been to Gurnee Mills in quite awhile. With the kids grown, no need to go to Great America. I didn't know there was a Disney Store there. Is it a true outlet store or is it the same as the ones in malls?

Mark and I try to hit Gurnee twice a year and then go to Pleasant Prairie over the Illinois line. It's a combination. You can get some great stuff really cheap, and then you have the normal where the t-shirts are whatever they charge at the Disney store. They carry a LOT of Disneyland stuff.

Oh the Dapper Dans! On my very first visit to the Magic Kingdom in 1985, I encountered the Dapper Dans upon my entry to Main Street. Your photo of them brings a tear to my eye. They make me sappy and I'm always happy to be wearing sunglasses around them.

Awww...that is so sweet. I enjoy listening to them when we see them.

I've only eaten at Tony's once and I'm not sure I'd ever return. I wouldn't call it terrible, but considering we only do one table service restaurant a day, there are so many better options.

Many better options out there!

Such torture those girls put you through. EE. Carousel of Progress. IASM. You poor, poor woman. :rotfl2:

It was a rough day with those girls. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Dinner looked good, even if was only so-so. I could go for that cupcake right about now. Not even 9 in the morning, and I'm having a sweets craving...

You'd have to ask Avery how the cupcake was. ;)

Kathy, I am sorry I got so far behind again.

Shannon, no worries.

Sorry that EE made you feel sick.:sad1:

Yep; once I hit 50 it was all downhill.

Pure torture! At least they didn't make you do the teacups too!

They would have taken me to the hospital if I had gone on that after EE!

Oh Tony's. Sorry it wasn't better.

We will stick with Liberty and Plaza from now on.

Darn...it would have been so nice if you could have joined us.

Too bad CoP didn't work out for your nap.

You win some, you lose some. :rotfl:

I miss the Teacups! They were down for refurbishment during our trip in 2013, and Chubasco at Six Flags just isn't the same.

I can do them if it is just Mark and I because neither one of us will spin the thing. Not like when the boys used to go with us. :crazy2:

COP is always good for a nap. :thumbsup2
Hahaha oh Kathy, a day of Disney torture for sure (though not for my preferences!)

Yes, I know you have a soft spot for IASW.

You guys got quite a bit done at MK!

We did...and we were quite pleased.

I like Tony's well enough. We've always had reviews similar to yours, but it's a pretty cute place to eat.

It's an adorable restaurant...love the themeing; I just wish they'd get more variety and better food.

Sounds like a fun afternoon at MK! :lmao: Sorry you were tortured further with COP and IASW, your favorite slow boat to China!

Yes, my slow boat to China. I just don't know why they punish me so? But then Mark will too next month.

Too bad Tony's was not all that good of a meal, especially with Tusker being disappointing that morning. I've only eaten at Tony's once, my first visit when I was 13 years old, and don't remember much except that I got pizza.

It wasn't horrible, but we've definitely eaten at much better places.

Oh, and the pictures of the girls were adorable, as always! :goodvibes

They are cuties; hard to take a bad picture of them (well, unless they are making faces or something).

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: I always find it entertaining there to watch and see which animatronic is out of sync or off line. Seems like there's always something.

This time it was the rooms; they just couldn't get it together.

Sword fight!!!!

Mark is especially looking forward to a sword fight next month with Tim's son, Christopher. Heaven help Tim and Mel when my husband gets done with that child. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

But did they change your plans 10 times that day also? :confused3

Nope, this is one time they didn't.

A morning of torture....no nap....poor food? Geez, you really needed some pixie dust!! pixiedust: On the bright side, you could have been home mopping the floors huh? ;) Hopefully the rest of the day goes a lot better!

Great update. The food is making me hungry lol

I saw Beast in the background of one of your picks. If he is in Disneyland he is sooooooo coming home with me :goodvibes

The Irish Mickey and Minnie were on sale the last day I was in Dublin. :goodvibes

such torture :rotfl: I love IASW, it's so classic to me. Of course I grew up in California and like the one there better, just for the exterior entrance, which understandably wouldn't work in Florida with all the possible rain.

Oh you're nearly done if you only have one more full day :sad1: but guess can't be too sad since you have another trip coming up soon :)
