I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

I can't believe we are coming towards the end of your trip :(
At least we all have another TR to look forward to :)

Hi Kathy!! I think I am the Bad Bad Baby cause I just got over here to read everything!!

I'm not going to comment a lot because there is just too much!!

The DisMeet with Danielle looks like a lot of fun!

I cannot do Star Tours. I made a FP+ there for October for our friends in case they want to do it but its SO not for me! EE also not really for me!! The going backwards and in the dark!! :scared:

Never been to Disney Quest... not my kind of thing!!

The Pool time looks like fun! We never seem to take a lot of time to relax at Disney!

Hi Kathy, sorry I am so behind.

We have not been to CoP since our first trip in '08. Maybe I will have to suggest that one to everyone if we are looking for a break to nap and get a way from the heat. Also I have never been to Tony's and I don't think I will be rushing there. So many other places I still would like to try, like Liberty Tree Tavern.
My DD loves IASW, but my DH hates it :rotfl: It wouldn't be so bad if the song didn't repeat over and over, and if you get stuck on the ride (like we did last year)...:scared:
Old Key West looks like a lovely resort, I have never been. I may have to change that one day...
Those girls are so cute! Love the expressions they have as well... so cute!
Epcot... Love Spaceship Earth! And Figment!! :lovestruc
Great Pictures!!
Sorry your Dismeet didn't happen, maybe next time. You are so loved and popular; everyone wants to meet you! If must be because of your loving and caring personality and the fun and love for Disney! :grouphug: I am hoping to be able to be one of your meets... haha :rotfl2:
Have a great long weekend with your kids! :flower3:

Sounds like your dinner at Tony's was kinda "meh". Sorry to hear that.

Love how Cayley is rockin' that hat. :thumbsup2

Love the photos at OKW waiting for the bus and the one in front of SE are awesome too!
Sounds like a fun day at Epcot - you cannot go wrong with Figment. ;)

Great updates and pics.

I agree about the food going downhill lately.

Awww, the last day blues. :( To me it always seems like it is never long enough. Sounds like you got a good start to the day though except for the missed DIS meet. So sorry for her migraine. They bite!

Awww, you poor thing, you can tell that you are already getting the "I've gotta go home soon" blues. Is this the day that I think it is?

Last day blues...I really hate those. Sorry you didn't get to meet up with Bill and his wife either. :sad1:

Just curious, if you use a FP+ on Journey Into Imagination, do they just send you into the (empty) standby line anyway? :rotfl2:

Fun updates! Sorry your Tony's meal wasn't that great.

Ah, IASW. I'll be forced on that at least 3 times I'm sure. My girls LOVE it. They talk about it all the time. Maybe DH and I will take some selfies to pass the time, though I don't really mind the ride part. It's the song over and over that drives me nuts.

Last day. It's so sad. Love your Epcot pics, though!

I hope you had a fun weekend. My dh and I used to work at the Ed Debevic's in Milwaukee when it was open. We need to take our kids to the one in Chicago. They'd love it!

You're not allowed to be sad at Disney World.

But I was leaving my girls soon. :(

Love me some Figment, but that just seems so terribly wrong. :rotfl2:

Not much to get FP for at Epcot.

Have a great weekend! :thumbsup2

We did...thank you!

The long flights aren't that bad. Since Delta changed our flighs for this year our first one is 7.3 hours and the second one if 6.75 hours but if you bring books, watch movies, eat, sleep etc the time passes fairly quickly.

I have a hard time sleeping on planes. Perhaps a sleeping pill or two for a long trip.

I know! :lmao: I'll wait til I'm in World of Disney to tell Santa that's what I want :goodvibes

Good idea!

I love the girls frozen t-shirts

Aren't they adorable? Got those when they got the dolls.

Claire loves Figment too~!

I was so glad they didn't get rid of him.

The last day just sucks....but you are making the best of it!

I tried and it got a lot more fun later.

Adorable pics of all 4 of you! Love your shirt!

Thanks; I got that shirt at Disney and I wear it ALL of the time.

Sorry you did not get to meet Bill. He's a hoot and Grace is lovely!

I hope to be able to meet him and Grace on a future trip.

More fun updates. I remember COP being off track and amking our nap time less productive. Tony's is ok-not great. Fugment still makes me think of the fall Mark took into the bushes LOL

What nap? It really screwed it up for us. Tony's is a step below Olive Garden in my opinion. Oh my...will we ever forget that fall in the bushes?

Boy Kathy, do I have some catching up to do. :crazy2: I've been following your TR daily, but just now posting on it. Life can come at you fast (isn't that a commercial?) and these past few weeks have done just that.

I totally understand, Bob.

My thoughts and prayers were with you on the 6th anniversary of your dads passing. I remember the day you informed us of it. I'm sure he is looking down at his little girl ( to dads their daughters will always be their little girls) and telling the angels just how proud he is of you.

Awwww....Bob this touched me more than you know. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your latest breakfast ADR at the Tusker House. I know this was a favorite of yours and it must have been a real let down for you that day. Perhaps it was just a bad day for them. :confused3

Hoping it was a bad day; I'm sure we will be back at some point.

Concerning the details at the AK; I agree with you 100%. While for me the AK is usually a 1/2 day park, I do love the theming and the fine details of everything in the AK; It is truly amazing and an example of Disney at their finest.

It is...such detail everywhere. It has become a 3/4 park for us of late.

Funny picture of you riding Dinosaur. It's not my favorite ride in the "world" but I do enjoy it; however, Alyssa really does not like Dinosaur at all and only rode it this last time because her cousin talked her into it... I have a feeling she will never ride that thing again. :goodvibes

I think with Dinosaur you either love it or hate it.

Now EE is another story. I am a huge roller coaster fan and love EE; Alyssa loves the ride as well. We always hit this thing at rope drop ride it with no wait and then hop right back on it and ride it again. We do a FP+ and do it again later in the day before leaving. This past trip in June we rode it three times in a row before I had to tell the girls even I had enough. LOL... Sorry to hear you almost lost your "cookies" and everything else that may have been in you as well. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

My cookies, my internal organs...you name it and I almost lost it.

I loved your DIS meet at Ruby Tuesday with IheartDDuck. It just continues to amaze me with how many people love you here on the DIS. In the parks and out of the parks you have a great multitude of friends.

Or they feel sorry for me? :lmao::lmao: Seriously, we had so much fun with Danielle, Mom and Popadon and can't wait until we do it again.

By the way a KatMark TR would not be complete without a posting of Mark and his hats, even if he is not at WDW with you. Love the picture of him at Hot Topic.:thumbsup2

The man never stops.

Your pictures of the statues at the MK were very cool to see. You took a picture of Dumbo for your "honey", and you may not have realized it when you took a picture of Goofy, but subconsciously you took that for me. :lmao:

Of course I was thinking of you. ;)

You and I see eye to eye when it comes to the CoP; it is nothing more than an opportunity to sit in the air condition and catch a few ZZZZ's. For some reason Carolyn really enjoys this atttraction??????

I'll never understand why anyone would enjoy it.

OHH NO YOU DIDN'T.... You actually rode IASW. Funny story.. A couple of weeks ago one of the little girls in my church was singing It's a small world repeatedly... I could not get that song out of my head all day long. :rotfl:

Oh my Lord....you have the patience of a saint.

It seems like your dinner at Tony's was just ok. I have only eaten dinner one time in all my visits to the MK. With so many good restaurants at the resorts so close by we always head over to one of them for dinner.

Just okay was a good word for it. I'll stick to Liberty and Plaza in the future.

Sorry to hear about your Dis meet with Saintstickets and his wife didn't happen as planned. Hopefully you will get to meet up again in the future. At least you were able to meet up later that day with a really neat, very intelligent and incredible good looking guy in the WS. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: (ok, ok, so I exaggerated a little.... alright a lot). ;)

Am I supposed to be including that DIS meet in this TR? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Seriously, it was great seeing you again.

I can't believe we're coming up on the end! I like the sound of making the best of it though.

Yes, the end is coming. :(

Such a pretty resort. :lovestruc

It really is...definitely in my top three.

Love the pics of all you girls. :thumbsup2 Especially the Epcot ones! Those girls are adorable!

Thanks, Wendy.

Too bad your Dismeet didn't work out. Migraines suck!

I've never had a full blown one thankfully.

Enjoy your long weekend with the kids, Kathy!

Thanks, Wendy; we had a blast.

I can't believe we are coming towards the end of your trip :(

Unfortunately, we are Linda.

At least we all have another TR to look forward to :)

Yes, I guess I will end up doing another one.

Hi Kathy!! I think I am the Bad Bad Baby cause I just got over here to read everything!!

Paula, no worries at all...you've been busy traveling, etc.

I'm not going to comment a lot because there is just too much!!

Totally understandable.

The DisMeet with Danielle looks like a lot of fun!

We had a blast; she is a sweetheart as is the rest of her family.

I cannot do Star Tours. I made a FP+ there for October for our friends in case they want to do it but its SO not for me! EE also not really for me!! The going backwards and in the dark!! :scared:

Yes, as I've gotten older it just has gotten worse.

Never been to Disney Quest... not my kind of thing!!

Not mine either. :rotfl2:

The Pool time looks like fun! We never seem to take a lot of time to relax at Disney!

I found that we appreciate the parks more if we relax a bit.

Hi Kathy, sorry I am so behind.

Jen, it is okay.

Only if you nap? Otherwise, don't torture them. :rotfl:

My DD loves IASW, but my DH hates it :rotfl: It wouldn't be so bad if the song didn't repeat over and over, and if you get stuck on the ride (like we did last year)...:scared:

Your DH and I would get along great.

Old Key West looks like a lovely resort, I have never been. I may have to change that one day...

Oh you must...it is great!

Those girls are so cute! Love the expressions they have as well... so cute!

They really are; you can tell their mood by their faces for sure.

Epcot... Love Spaceship Earth! And Figment!! :lovestruc

The best of Epcot.

Great Pictures!!

Thanks.

Sorry your Dismeet didn't happen, maybe next time. You are so loved and popular; everyone wants to meet you! If must be because of your loving and caring personality and the fun and love for Disney! :grouphug: I am hoping to be able to be one of your meets... haha :rotfl2:

Jen, I am counting on us hooking up this month. I'll be posting final park plans on my PTR and hopefully we are at the same park one of the days to say hello.

Have a great long weekend with your kids! :flower3:

Thank you...we did.

Sounds like your dinner at Tony's was kinda "meh". Sorry to hear that.

No biggie; I know that I will go somewhere else next time though.

Love how Cayley is rockin' that hat. :thumbsup2

Doesn't she look adorable in it?

Love the photos at OKW waiting for the bus and the one in front of SE are awesome too!

Thanks, Karin.

Sounds like a fun day at Epcot - you cannot go wrong with Figment. ;)

LOVE me some Figment.

Great updates and pics.

Thanks, Scott.

I agree about the food going downhill lately.

Yes, not the best.

Awww, the last day blues. :( To me it always seems like it is never long enough. Sounds like you got a good start to the day though except for the missed DIS meet. So sorry for her migraine. They bite!

They take forever to get here and then go so quickly. :( I'm sorry we missed Bill too, but better his wife rested and felt better.

Awww, you poor thing, you can tell that you are already getting the "I've gotta go home soon" blues. Is this the day that I think it is?

What day is that, Lisa?

Last day blues...I really hate those. Sorry you didn't get to meet up with Bill and his wife either. :sad1:

They aren't the best days. I was disappointed, but hopefully we will meet them on a future trip.

Just curious, if you use a FP+ on Journey Into Imagination, do they just send you into the (empty) standby line anyway? :rotfl2:

HA HA HA, you are so funny Mark. Actually the last two times I've been there has actually been a line.

Fun updates! Sorry your Tony's meal wasn't that great.

Thanks, Clare. It wasn't horrible, just not the best.

Ah, IASW. I'll be forced on that at least 3 times I'm sure. My girls LOVE it. They talk about it all the time. Maybe DH and I will take some selfies to pass the time, though I don't really mind the ride part. It's the song over and over that drives me nuts.

How about you and hubby take turns riding it? ;)

Last day. It's so sad. Love your Epcot pics, though!

Last full day; still had a half day the next day.

I hope you had a fun weekend. My dh and I used to work at the Ed Debevic's in Milwaukee when it was open. We need to take our kids to the one in Chicago. They'd love it!

We had a great time. I have to say we were a little disappointed in the food at Ed Debevic's; the antics were great though.

I promise to get a major update done tomorrow...if it goes as planned, I will get the rest of our last full day done. My boss is back after 2-1/2 month vacation so it's been hectic at work this week. But I have to get this TR done as we leave two weeks from tomorrow.

Before I post a few pictures from this past weekend, I need to ask you all for some prayers. On Friday, October 10, Alisha, our beautiful daughter-in-law, will be going to the Mayo Clinic for a visit. She will see a general practice doctor for some blood work, blood pressure, etc.,, and then discussing the medical records we sent them. From there, they will send her to one or two specialists while there. She has been having major stomach issues and severe joint pain and no one has been able to come up with a diagnosis. It broke my heart this weekend to see how much pain she was in.

Despite her pain (which Alisha tries to hide), we had a great visit. They got here late Friday and then on Saturday Alisha and I hit Ross, Charming Charlie, Target, Meijer's, Shoe Carnival, Party City, lunch, etc. After that, we headed to Markie's former high school wrestling coaches home for his Annual Labor Day Weekend Bags Tournament. We had a great time visiting with former coaches, teammates, playing bags, etc. The best part of this is that Markie won all three tournaments and won $500!!!! A few pictures from that afternoon:

(Markie practicing with the guys)

(Markie and Alisha with one of his former teammates and now a coach at his old high school, Joe and his wife Ashley; Joe and Markie stood up to each other's wedding)

(Markie and one of his former assistants and a good personal friend--Tony)

(a blurry Mark and me...could have been all the beer I was drinking; oh wait, I didn't take the picture)

Mark and the girl who is perfect in his eyes)

(me and my favorite girl)

Sunday we went to Downtown Chicago and had lunch at Ed Debevic's and then went to Navy Pier and then to Water Tower Place to go shopping

(waiting in line for Chicago's famous Garrett Popcorn; Markie said he "wasn't ready" for the picture, but his back was killing him; he will probably need back surgery at some point...his spine is curving the wrong way)

I'll be back with an update tomorrow; thanks for your patience.

I most certainly will keep your daughter-in-law in my prayers. I hope she will find answers and help at the Mayo Clinic. My mother was a patient there a couple of times and it's such an excellent facility. It's very smart to go there now instead of waiting. Many optimistic thoughts are being sent your way!

Very nice photos of all of you! Glad you had a nice weekend.

My boss was a Trustee there and is now a Trustee Emeritus. That is how we got her in so fast. Thanks; it was a really fun weekend.

I believe that the Epcot day is the day that those pretty little girls spied my cute little, make that tall, boy at Starbucks.

I'm so very sorry to hear about the medical issues that Alisha has been having. As you know, my sister in law was treated at Mayo and they couldn't have been more pleased with the care that they were given. I'll pray my very hardest that the doctors/specialist will be able to pinpoint the problem and come up with a plan of action to get her healthy again. You know how to reach me should you need anything or just to talk.

I will keep you Daughter in Law in my thoughts! I am glad that she is getting the helps she needs.

Wow it looks like you had a great weekend!:cool1:

Fingers crossed that Alisha gets some answers and some relief.

Looks like a great weekend!

Jill in CO

So sorry to hear about your daughter-in-law. I will pray for her!

It sounds like ya'll had a great time at the get together. $500 win...not too shabby at all! WooHoo!

Shopping sounded like fun. I see you went to Charming Charlie's. My mother thinks that is the most dangerous shopping place ever. :lmao: I took her there on Mother's Day and told her to pick out some earrings. Then told her to get another and another. She was like a kid in a candy store. :thumbsup2
