I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Thread hijacking (sorry Kathy) :

I'm from Ireland and get to go to the Irish Disney store once a week when my dance class is on... They have their own range of Irish plushies and t-shirts and stuff as well:

I've just died and gone to heaven!!!!!! Ireland AND Disney?!? :faint:

All caught up!

Sorry you weren't thrilled with your Tusker House breakfast. Have you ever tried lunch? It's my favorite buffet in all of WDW.

Your EE ride photo is great!

I'm not a fan of Disney Quest either. I kind of view that place as a waste of good Disney time.

Love Raglan Road! The photos of Cayley dancing are so sweet!

We had just finished in Dinoland and it was time to do the ride I feared the most. Luckily, we had enough time after breakfast that I wasn't going with a full tummy.

No, it was not Primevil Hurl.

It was this:

Great ride! But I'm worried.

I was fine until we went backwards. From that time on, I thought I was going to lose whatever was in my stomach. I love Avery but I told her this is the LAST time I am doing this ride.

You know, that's totally understandable. That backwards portion is very disorienting. It almost feels like you're going upside-down (even though you're not).

Sorry to hear you were less than thrilled with breakfast at Tusker House - and no more Krispy Kreames is not cool!

Congrats on riding Everest - the backwards part is definitely what would get you - the rest is pretty smooth at least.

We are off to the Cubs game in an hour or so after I finish some work. In the meantime, I wanted to share this picture (which many of you have seen before).

Today marks the 6th anniversary of the passing of the first man I ever loved. I miss him every day and love him always.

My dad and his two favorite boys:

I'm sorry that your meal at Tusker House wasn't better. It was one the highlights of our trip, but we had a great server, which really does help!

I love Avery hiding in Dinosaur!

My husband feels the same way as you on the backwards part of EE, he was not a fan of going backwards. The first time we rode it we were at the back of the train and that seemed to be much worse. When we were toward the front he said it wasn't as bad.

I'm so sorry about your dad. . Thinking of you today.

I love the Dinosaur picture. I was LOL at work!

Sorry Tusker House was disappointing. We did lunch there 2 years ago and loved it. I hope it was just a bad day.

I can't wait to ride EE again, but sorry it makes you not feel so good.

Hope you're having fun at the Cubs game! Wish I was there.

I've just died and gone to heaven!!!!!! Ireland AND Disney?!? :faint:

:rotfl2: Those plushies were actually on sale last time I went up 18 euro instead of 30 each. The stuff is super expensive but cute :goodvibes

Saw that on fb yesterday. Hope you're ok. I know anniversaries are sucky

Replies will have to wait until tomorrow. We have had a long day today. We left the house at 9 a.m. and drove to Gurnee Mills (this is near Great America...about an hour from our house). We went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and got Andy and Des a crock pot and step stool for their new apartment (we are now officially empty-nesters...the move went very well today). Then we hit a few other stores until it was time to meet our DIS friends for lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. The time approached and then I saw them and hugs were passed all the way around. Okay, I suppose you want to know WHO we were meeting. Well, we were meeting Danielle, her Mom and Popadon. Danielle is IheartDDuck here on the DIS. If you have not read her TR's, you really need to. She and her family are warm and wonderful, and her Dad (Popadon) will put a smile on your face...he is a charmer. Here is a link to her current TR:

Then we went to another outlet mall right over the border in Wisconsin. And then we went to Andy and Des' new apartment to bring them their gifts and see the apartment and help them move in the boxes from the truck. We got home about 8:45 this evening.

Here are several pictures we took after our lunch at Ruby Tuesday's and then when we went to Hot Topic and then to the Disney Store:

Popadon was looking for $5 because that is what the waiter said he would charge to take our picture

The girls (a little blurry)

The group:

Then at Hot Topic:

While the men waited for the gals to finish making their purchases (a dangerous store in case you need to know)

Mom bought Mark a Dumbo pin and he was very grateful

We figured the best spot for a group picture was in front of the Disney Store:

And then one more of the ladies:

If you ever see Danielle and her family at Disney, be sure to say hello. As I said they are terrific. Warm, funny, kind and loving.

And Danielle came bearing gifts for Mark and I.

Mark's:

My gift:

Thank you Danielle. And every time we drink from them, we will think of our wonderful lunch with you.

Great meet with Danielle and family!! Her father is a riot!!!! I bet he would Pole Dance with me:rotfl2:I have heard rumors we are getting a Disney Store at our Outlet Mall !!:cool1::cool1::cool1:I can't wait :thumbsup2

Belated thoughts for you on the anniversary of your dad's passing, Kathy. And hugs too.

What a great Dismeet! Saw the pics on Facebook, they're all awesome. Some day I'll cross paths with them too, I hope!

Sorry your breakfast at Tusker House did not live up to your expectations. I hate when that happens. :(

I absolutely love the dinosaur picture and the EE picture! So, you are done with EE huh? Sorry it does not agree with you. On the bright side, you got a great last picture on it!:thumbsup2

Sorry about your dad. Hugs to you! :grouphug:

Your lunch DIS meet looks amazing. The picture of him looking for the $5 is too funny! Glad y'all had a good time!

Empty nesters. I don't know if I will every know what that is! LOL I spread my kids out. 30, 25 and 13. The first two of course are gone but, DS is starting the 8th grade tomorrow. I still have plenty of time with him before I ship him off to college. :rotfl: Helping your kids move in a new place is a chore isn't it? No wonder you are tired. You had one heck of a long day!

What a fun Dismeet!

Glad the move went well.

Hey, I'm caught up! Wow, that was quite the turtle that the girls found near the resort pool Wow!

So, what was that drink that you got at Raglan Road?

What a fantastic Dis Meet! I love the fact that our love for Disney brings so many wonderful people together. I truly do!

I'm finally caught up again! I've barely been able to glance at the boards all week.

I love the picture of y'all on EE! I hate that we had to miss it our last trip. Brody was short by 1 inch! I'll ride it for sure in March though. :)

Your DIS meet looked like so much fun! I love that y'all got a picture in front of the Disney Store. Very fitting! I haven't read her TR. I might need to hop over to it when I can find the time.

Love it ! Thanks for the shout out :rotfl2:

Sorry Breakfast was not as good as it had once been.

:rotfl2: at Avery in Dinosaur. I can still do EE multiple times but I will admit it is getting harder to handle that backwards part. Sometimes I feel like my head is going to explode.

Great DISmeet Look like you had a fun time!!!
