I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Joining in! It looks like you ladies had a fabulous day in & around MK & DTD. Can't wait to hear the rest!

Loving the pictures of the Mine Train. I have no clue when I will get a chance to ride it yet and that really bums me out!!!!

I promise I will get to replies as soon as I can.

Unfortunately, we had some bad news today. My husband was let go at his job. I only posted this on one of the Disney Facebook groups and not my home page because I am friends with some of Mark's former co-workers.

This on top of my mother having been in the hospital for the past week now.

Plus, I'm having issues with Memory Maker and getting the pictures uploaded to Facebook.

This is how far behind I was.

Again I am so sorry to hear about Mark and also your mom. I know things will work out, someday but hang in there until things turn around.

What a great couple of days you had. The makeovers are great as is dinner at Olivia's.

We just missed the mine train and so glad you got a couple of rides in.

Yay for your Anna and Elsa meet.:cool1:

Love the MT photos! I loved seeing from the outside last month and can't wait to ride it in Dec!!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Way behind, but the good news is I've been following along with everything more on FB, so a lot of what I missed here I had already seen or heard! :)

Great you got to do the Princess meet with Ana and Elsa! I actually hope to get that one in when I go back. And love the TR title/story reveal!

I am happy for you that you were able to ride 7DMT. I have to admit I skimmed quickly through your pics since I want to be able to experience it for the "first time" when I go back. Hopefully it will be running consistently. One of the guys I work with was just down there and they never got to ride it. The one time they got in line they were able to make it all the way in. Not five minutes after they got in line the announcement came that is was down. Every time they tried after that the line was really long so they missed out completely.

I know I have said this on FB, but hopefully things will come through for Mark soon! And continued thoughts and prayers for your Mom and her situation!

So Glad you got to ride the Mine Train!!!What were the stand bye lines Like????? Did you break down on POTC later ??? That happened to Janet and I in December:sad1::sad1:

Well I am all caught up, I like the BAD BAD BABY story:rotfl2: What I seem to have missed is Mark's problem and your Mom !!:confused3 . I read back to my last post too !!!

Awww, Avery's makeover is just awesome! She makes an absolutely lovely mermaid.

Oooohhh, Liberty Tree for lunch! It's definitely becoming a must do for me. I totally demolished that Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake all by myself. And their burgers are really good!

Gotta love those FP+ for Anna and Elsa now. Makes thing so much easier!

I love the happy face Cayley is making after she sees herself in the mirror. Just absolutely priceless. Both of the girls makeovers were great.

Aha, a trip report title is born! Nice. Of course it would become a running joke!

D's purses are just absolutely fabulous.

Glad you got on your first Mine Train ride! I agree with you completely, it just fits in with the magic in Fantasyland. Just perfect.

Catching up after camp week.

Love the 'making of a princess' pictures. :cutie:

We like Columbia Harbour House, but it's been a while since we've been. The little girls like Cosmic Ray's a lot, so we've been going there a lot, and we almost always have a Casey's meal at some point. It seems like we tend to do CHH more during fall and winter trips than summer trips. Not sure why - that's just the way it seems to play out.

Not much longer now for us to get our turn at Mine Train. :cool1:

First off was a favorite (although it would NOT be a favorite a couple of days later)
Uh oh... :scared1:

The girls had a sword fight in honor of Mr. Mark:
I'm sure he is proud. I know I am. :thumbsup2

We all LOVED it. We knew going in that it wasn't going to be a thrill ride, but it is so perfectly Disney and fits in Fantasyland just as I thought it would.
I can't wait to see it myself!

I couldn't agree with you more about the Mine Train. We absolutely loved it! We went into it knowing that it wasn't going to be a full-on thrill ride but felt that it went perfectly with the new Fantasyland.

I wanted to hug my computer everything is so perfect! Yes even if the girls wouldn't cooperate IT IS PERFECT!
I never had a dole whip
the Mine train.. What can i say but i am over the the moon with excitement to see it.. also the new fantasy parade. love the dragon!

Hi girls!!

I had a very hectic end of the week and weekend, but I am all caught up!

What a beautiful mermaid and princess!! They both look beautiful! I am glad they had fun.

Love your pics with Ana and Elsa!

I think I remember your experience with POTC a few days later... :(

Hope you had a great weekend with Alisha and Mark, I saw some of the photos on FB!

Hmmm, you didn't like Pirates later in the week. I'm going to guess you ended up in the front row and soaking wet because that's what happened to Jim and I in May. I even ended up with water in my eyes and mouth because the wave was so big.

I cannot wait to ride the Mine Train in October! That will definitely be one of the FP+ that Mom and I get because she is really excited too.

First off was a favorite (although it would NOT be a favorite a couple of days later):

That sounds ominous.

The girls had a sword fight in honor of Mr. Mark:

As well they should!

I wanted this photo opportunity because I had taken one on our first girls trip. The girls were NOT being very cooperative:

That's because one is a bad, bad baby.

And then it was time. It was time for the ride we had all been waiting for:

THE MINE RIDE! Now, I have to admit, I didn't get many pictures at all because we were all jumping with excitement.

That's understandable. Always good to get a new experience.

People we do not know being loaded into their car

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

We all LOVED it. We knew going in that it wasn't going to be a thrill ride, but it is so perfectly Disney and fits in Fantasyland just as I thought it would.

Sounds great! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

Wow both the girls looks amazing!

I can't wait to try the Mine Train, my girls have been seeing commercials for it and they are more excited than I am. pixiedust:

My mother and I are doing an all girls trip this December (it will be our second) and I am very much looking forward to it!

Awesome report I can't wait to see whats up next :goodvibes

Your TR is the first I've read with a 7 dwarves ride included -- SO FUN!!!

You guys really look like you are having such a blast!! :yay:

A Dole Whip is always a good reason to take a break from rides!

The girls seemed to enjoy it very much, as did Mary (I didn't partake...I'm not a fan :duck:)

Glad you enjoyed the Mine Train so much - especially that you feel it fits into Fantasyland so much! Can't wait to ride it!

I did; I've been reading a lot of stuff on FB where people thought it was a waste of time. They all expected it to be this huge thrill ride. :confused3

Just now getting back on the DISboards and trying to get caught up with TR's after our WDW trip earlier this month. So sorry to hear about your mom and Mark's job. I've been there and done that for both and I can only say that after a while, it will all seem like a distant dream. It doesn't make it any easier to get through today but you know y'all have our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much, Bill.

Olivia's truly is a hidden gem and I think most everyone that eats there feels the same. OKW is so relaxing and has a real resort feel instead of a hotel atmosphere. Olivia's fits right in and the CMs there are the best!

I couldn't agree any more; love the place.

I am so sorry we were not able to meet up during our trip but at least I'll be able to read about your trip here! More please! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry too...but I know how those migraines can be. :(

Yay, glad you got on the Mine Train! :cool1: Can't wait to ride that in September.

I'm glad we got on it too. I wish we were overlapping in September.

Dumbo is still one of my absolute favorites. I just love the colors at night, the reds and purples. SO pretty!

It really is; the colors are so beautiful.

Great update!!!

Thanks, Alan.

Are those Dole Whips I spy? Yummy!

Yes they are; but, I'm not a fan.

So glad you all loved Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I agree with you 100%....what a great addition to New Fantasyland! We loved it also...and you get some killer views of the castles. :cool1:

You do get some great views of the castle!

Dole Whips and the mine train? LOVE IT!!
Glad to hear you think it's a good ride for FL. I'm really looking forward to riding it - but I have to wait until December!!

I really thought they did a great job on the Mine Train.

Hope you have an awesome fun weekend with Mark and Alisha!

Thanks; we had a great time. Too short, but we had a lot of fun.

Avery's mermaid transformation is excellent! And what a pretty princes Cayley was!

Thanks, Ann.

So cool that you had a fp+ to see Anna and Elsa!

It was the only way we were going to do it.

:lmao: That is so funny that Avery was a Bad, Bad Baby!!

We had a lot of fun with that for the week.

Love the D original bags. :thumbsup2

Thanks; she does spectacular work.

and.....

MINE TRAIN!!! That is so cool you have rode it. Not a thrill ride? Ok, so i will be fine riding it not knowing much more. We are all trying to have limited exposure to what is it like until we get to ride in the fall.

Definitely not a thrill ride; it wouldn't have fit in the FL area if it had been.

Don't you love Dumbo at night with the lights in the water? It's right up there with BTMRR after dark for me.

Absolutely! They are both great rides at night.

I take it you took a pass on the Dole Whip?

Yep...not a fan at all.

Nice pics of you and Avery! You have a really great smile!

Thank you...you are very sweet.

Anna and Elisa and the Mine ride in one day!! Sounds like a great day.

It was a great day hitting both of those. :goodvibes

Caught up on the last couple of updates.

I think I have finally caught up everywhere too.

Cayley's makeover is awesome! The pictures of the transition in process are excellent. Are they yours, photopass or a combination of both?

They are a combination of both of ours.

Did you BYOD (Bring Your Own Dress) or get one of theirs?

Mary brought the dress. Speaking of Mary...I think she fell off the face of the earth. Actually, I think she and the family are currently on a cruise and she won't be here for awhile.

Love Columbia Harbor House!!! My favorite CS at MK.

It's my co-favorite with Cosmic Rays.

Funny story for the trip report title. I love when there is a running joke throughout a trip.

It gave us a lot of laughs during the trip. :)

The bags made by DMGeurts are really nice.

Thank you.

Great selection of rides/snacks and photos for your afternoon and evening.

It worked out really well.

I haven't actually seen many Mine Train photos or videos so it was a treat to see some of the ride. Love the view as you are coming up the tracks and looking at the castle.

Isn't that great?

:goodvibes

Thanks, Dee.

So jealous that you got to ride the Mine Train! Looks like you are all having a blast. I really can't wait to ride it in October! When we were watching the CM's ride it in May it just looked so fun!

I was so hoping you and Cynthia would get a soft opening on your trip. I think you will love it.

You girls really had a wonderful and full first day.

We really did!

Love the sword fight in honor of Mr Mark!

They did Mr. Mark proud numerous times this trip.

Have a great weekend!

We did; I hope you had a good one too.

MINE TRAIN :yay: I have three FP in August I can't wait  I love the girls' sword fight in Mark's Honor :goodvibes

Thanks, Jeanette. 3? I think that's how many I penciled in when I can book mine for September later this month. They are good girls trying to make Mr. Mark not feel sad for not being there.

Mmm... Dole Whips and SDMT... I don't think it gets much better than that? I am very excited to do both in August.

Popcorn and the SDMT would have been better (I don't remember if I ended up with popcorn that night or not).

And I love that picture of the girls in adventure land... Even though they weren't cooperating, it's still adorable, and made me chuckle. :)

It is a cute picture...silly girls.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend with the kids. HOpefully Mark gets to join in the fun at some point.

D~

Mark was able to join us for the two dinners, but he missed the Zoo, shopping and breakfast.

Luvin the pics from the mine train.. although the one of dopey looks a little scary!

It was hard to get a good shot in there.

Joining in! It looks like you ladies had a fabulous day in & around MK & DTD. Can't wait to hear the rest!

:welcome: Thank you for joining in. It was a great first full day at the World.

Loving the pictures of the Mine Train. I have no clue when I will get a chance to ride it yet and that really bums me out!!!!

I hope you get to ride it soon, Jen. Aren't you going later this year? Or won't you be making it to the MK during that trip?

This is how far behind I was.

No worries (I just got caught up on your last update).

Again I am so sorry to hear about Mark and also your mom. I know things will work out, someday but hang in there until things turn around.

Thanks; we are doing okay. A letter is going to his company tomorrow; we shall see what happens.

What a great couple of days you had. The makeovers are great as is dinner at Olivia's.

Thanks; it was a great arrival and first day. Love Olivia's.

We just missed the mine train and so glad you got a couple of rides in.

I'm so glad I was able to get the FP+ for it.

Yay for your Anna and Elsa meet.:cool1:

Loved meeting those girls...so much fun.

Love the MT photos! I loved seeing from the outside last month and can't wait to ride it in Dec!!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Oh, I am so happy you'll be able to ride in in December. :goodvibes

Way behind, but the good news is I've been following along with everything more on FB, so a lot of what I missed here I had already seen or heard! :)

Nice to see you Marv!

Great you got to do the Princess meet with Ana and Elsa! I actually hope to get that one in when I go back. And love the TR title/story reveal!

It was a fun meet and greet, and Avery gave us many laughs over the course of the next eight days.

I never thought that people might not want to see the pictures. Oops! It was breaking down a lot while we were there but luckily it was fixed in time for both of our FP+ times.

I know I have said this on FB, but hopefully things will come through for Mark soon! And continued thoughts and prayers for your Mom and her situation!

Thanks; we are okay and hopefully will have some good news next week regarding his severance. Mom has taken a slight turn for the bad, but she is hanging in there.

So Glad you got to ride the Mine Train!!!What were the stand bye lines Like????? Did you break down on POTC later ??? That happened to Janet and I in December:sad1::sad1:

The standby line was always at least 90 minutes if not longer. Yes, we broke down on POTC later. SPOILER ALERT: We got stuck on it for an hour. :furious:

Well I am all caught up, I like the BAD BAD BABY story:rotfl2: What I seem to have missed is Mark's problem and your Mom !!:confused3 . I read back to my last post too !!!

Avery was so funny....I really wish we'd gotten a picture.

Awww, Avery's makeover is just awesome! She makes an absolutely lovely mermaid.

They do a really nice job in there.

Oooohhh, Liberty Tree for lunch! It's definitely becoming a must do for me. I totally demolished that Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake all by myself. And their burgers are really good!

LOVE the burgers! Mark loves the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake ALL BY HIMSELF!

Gotta love those FP+ for Anna and Elsa now. Makes thing so much easier!

It certainly does.

I love the happy face Cayley is making after she sees herself in the mirror. Just absolutely priceless. Both of the girls makeovers were great.

She was very pleased with her look.

Aha, a trip report title is born! Nice. Of course it would become a running joke!

Couldn't have it any other way. I think even your Pop would have appreciated that one.

D's purses are just absolutely fabulous.

Yes they are!

Glad you got on your first Mine Train ride! I agree with you completely, it just fits in with the magic in Fantasyland. Just perfect.

I don't think they could have done anything differently with it...it is just perfect like you said.

Catching up after camp week.

I saw the camp pictures...looked like a lot of fun, Caren.

Love the 'making of a princess' pictures. :cutie:

It was fun to experience that for the first time.

I'm with the little girls, I like Cosmic Ray's a lot too; but we try to alternate. I can't do Casey's...last hot dog there gave me major heartburn for days.

Not much longer now for us to get our turn at Mine Train. :cool1:

You and the girls will love it!

Uh oh... :scared1:

Yes, later in the trip it was not a favorite anymore.

I'm sure he is proud. I know I am. :thumbsup2

We sent him a picture and he said to tell the girls they did great.

I can't wait to see it myself!

I know that your DS is going to absolutely love it.
