I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Cayley looks so pretty with her makeover!

I agree

Yum, I love CHH! I think those window seats upstairs are no longer a hidden secret. I've never been able to get one of them.

Yes, we have to stop letting out so many of our secrets.

What a funny story to explain your TR title! Too bad you didn't get a picture.

The picture would have been icing on the cake.

Love the photo with the bags. Your Dumbo is one of my all time favorites of all the bags she's made.

Thank you; I love my Dumbo bag.

Ah, the title is clear now :rotfl2: That is hilarious! I have to say if it were one of my DDs (my DD7 is my non-eater) I would have been :lmao: but DH would have flipped. And about A&E, I hope he's happy because the girls are excited!! I bought an Anna dress from Etsy for DD7 I CAN'T WAIT :goodvibes Cayley looks great as Ariel:lovestruc

Jeanette, I didn't think I'd ever stop laughing. Poor Avery didn't find the name of Bad Bad Baby very amusing at the time. But she is the one who said I should name the TR after it. :)

So fun that you have an Anna dress for your daughter. :)

Cayley looks adorable with her Princess makeover (of course, she's adorable without it too)! I don't see how they can stand their pulled that tight though. I'd have a headache in less than 2 seconds.

It would drive me nuts having my hair pulled like that. Yes, she is adorable either way (just don't tell her that).

Poor Avery! She didn't want to eat and ya'll were trying to spoon feed her yogurt. She's not a bad bad baby. She's just a I'm Not Hungry 10 year old. ;)

The problem is she's never hungry!

* I forgot to mention the purses. I love love love them!

Thanks; mine is a prized possession. :)

I think I'm caught up now. Spending most days at the pool with the grandkids.

Good for you; I'd like to be at the pool.

The Mermaid is cute. My DGS was Jake as the other designs terrified him. They do a wonderful job there.

Some of those designs are scary. The CM's were terrific...I watched them all and didn't see a bad one in the crowd.

I have only eaten at LTT for dinner. One of Jim's favorites. He likes Thanksgiving and grew up on boxed mashed potatoes and Stove Top so it's all good to him.

Jim and my husband sound a lot alike.

I am probably one of the few people that gets depressed if I don't ride IASW at least once. One of my favorites but I did ride it at the 1964 World's Fair so a sentimental favorite.

I understand it is sentimental to a lot of people.

We did BBB with my granddaughters and it was a highlight of the trip.

It was fun seeing it in action for the first time.

I love the shrimp platter at CHH. Missed that last trip too. Now I want to go again.

Well there's your reason to go.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling up to par. Sounds like an inner ear infection. Have you been to the doc? Hope you feel your old self soon.

I'm sure it is an ear infection; I actually put some drops in my ear the last two nights and I'm feeling better. Thanks.

I love your little original bags!

Thank you. :goodvibes

Cayley looks adorable in her princess makeover!

I'm sure she says thank you.

The anchors away sandwich is my favorite! CHH is becoming more and more well talked about here. Not good news for those of us who like to keep it our uncrowded little secret good place for food!

I'm not a big tuna fan, but Mark has enjoyed it. Yes, that's yet another thing (like Olivia's) we have to keep bragging about. :lmao:

Glad to hear the Frozen meet is worth the hype. Hate to think folks are waiting all that long for a quick howdy do and move along.

Nope...we had a good five or six minutes with them.

Headed off to see Maleficent this afternoon with Kellie and her friend Kayla. Hope it's better than I've been hearing.

Have an awesome day.

How was the movie? I doubt we'll see it (I am NOT a fan of that woman at all).

I just love the looks on little girls' faces when they see themselves after a BBB makeover! Can't wait to go back and take DD there. :)

Your DD will be precious too...I can tell just from this year's TR. :)

Laughed at the TR title origin story! I was a difficult eater, too.

I was fussy myself. But she eats like a bird.

I just love your Dumbo bag!!

Thank you; I do too (as does Mark since Dumbo is his favorite character of all time).

wow Cayley looks so happy after the make-over ... glad all the extra travel seemed to be worth it

She is definitely A princess.

CHH is pretty darn good for a quick service - non-BOG category at least

Did you like BOG as a quick service? We are debating trying to get a FP for it in September.

cute bags!

Thank you.

Did you like BOG as a quick service? We are debating trying to get a FP for it in September.

We really liked BOG lunch - the food was really good and just what a lovely setting! The pork specifically was wonderful. It is a little hectic as it is crowded and we had to scope out a table and wait for it to be cleaned and stuff. But for a quick service the food was really good and even the kids food is a little be more upscale than the typical quick service place. Definitely recommend

3 weeks... but who's counting? :rolleyes1

Seriously, no concept of time and needed to make a reservation. ;)

I'd say it was a good thing she changed the plans on you. :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

It was worth it in the end. :)

At least she didn't spit it on you.

This is true. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Luvin Cayley's princess make-over

Cayley I'm sure thanks you.

Lol at Avery spitting out the yoghurt.. it's funny that kids are never hungry for the "healthy" food :confused3

The problem is Avery just doesn't eat much in general. But all ended well (after we all had a good laugh at her expense!).

Miss Cayley is a sweet looking Ariel :cutie:

Yes she is.

Love the bags made by D, I've seen them around the DIS and would love one, but could never use one unless I went solo. With my 9 and 6 yo I still carry around a bag the size of a diaper bag -and that is my day to day bag(but I need to carry two sets of noise reduction headphones, a change of clothes for my 6 yo- not for accidents but because he can't stand to be dirty if he spills a little food, glow sticks for dark rides, and meds :( ) Love the two designs you ladies are sportin'

I don't miss those days of the big bag at all. Thank you...we are fond of them too, and D does great work.

Cayley was a very pretty little princess!

Totally agree.

CHH is my favorite counter service restaurant in MK. I've tried to recreate the Lighthouse Sandwich but have had no luck.

I like it a lot too; we try to switch up with Cosmic Rays because I loved the pulled pork sandwich there.

I really like those bags! Very cute!

Thank you. :goodvibes

Love the girls make-overs! I wish we had a little one to take with us, but then we'd probably have to ride IASW :eek::scared1:. We rode it about 3 years ago and now I'm hoping I won't have to ride it for the next 20 years. LOL

After doing this with the girls, I've already forewarned hubby to start saving pennies for our grandchildren. :) I'm thinking as punishment to the parents, we'll just let them ride IASW with the kids. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well - take care~

Thanks; feeling better today. I think a lot is the weather changing constantly and not sleeping and so busy at work.

Also, love D's bags!

Me too. :goodvibes

Cayley looks so pretty :)

Thank you from Cayley.

Yay for the balloon picture.

I always forget to get a balloon picture but was determined this trip.

Ah, the moment of a TR title reveal. Always a great one. Now I feel like I'm in the loop.

I'm glad the girls said to make it the title; I was really having trouble coming up with something myself.

Very cute bags and very nice picture of the two of you.

Thank you very much.

I think I already commented that Avery was a lovely mermaid.

She was and you did.

Cayley is an adorable Ariel! I love how they made her shorter hair work for the updo!

Mary was worried about that since she had her hair much shorter this trip; it worked out great.

I love CHH and both the meals you and Mary had!

It's a great counter service place.

:lmao: at Avery spitting out the yogurt! My 11 year old would do the same thing if she didn't want it. She's very strong-willed. (aka stubborn as a mule!)

Stubborn is a good word! And it was funny.

Cute bags!!! They look like a nice size - not too small, not too big!

They really are the perfect size. I was able to get quite a bit in it and it wasn't heavy.

Nice that the boss leaves for so long so you can have some peace! And get some DIS time in!! I've been busy enough at work that I haven't been able to get on the DIS much there. They keep changing the way they schedule things, and it's only going to get busier I fear.

He's 88 years old; if he won't retire he'll at least take the summer off. I have two other assignments, but they are young and do most of their stuff themselves.

Those bags are so cute! :thumbsup2

Thanks, MaryEllen.

Cayley looks so adorable after her visit to BBB. She really is quite the little princess. How precious!

She certainly IS a princess.

Awesome makeover for Cayley! I love to see girls get to dress up like princesses. Every kid should have that opportunity at least once!

I agree; I just wish some of them would not get quite so carried away with the hair thing. But that's just a personal preference.

Columbia Harbour House looks really good! We've never eaten there but it's always been on our radar.

Well get to it! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you and Mark can get the FP+ for Be Our Guest. Even if not, the line is HUGE but it moves very quickly. BOG is awesome!

I'm going to try; and, if not, we will see how long the line is. Mark's not one for waiting in a really long line in the hot sun for food.

Hope the rest of the day went well! Ready to ride some rides!

Rides coming up.

I'm CAUGHT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have been one busy woman!

Finally!!! Sorry like you work is INSANE! i have been trying to catch up little by little around here!!!

It should slow down now for awhile.

So i have lots to comment!
First i have to ask how your family is doing? Mark enjoying being off for a while? your Mom ok? I saw the pictures of the kids on Facebook and they are simply gorgeous!

We are fine. Mark is getting a lot of daytime baseball games done, Andy and Des had a lovely 3-year dating anniversary dinner at Chicago Cut Steakhouse the other night and my baby and his wife are on their way here as I type. Mom is doing okay. She's in rehab, but she is coming along as well as can be expected for her age.

Your fist day is heavenly. Coffee food a welcome home mat, and pictures of the girls with a castle behind them 'showing their Disney side'! LOVE IT ALL!!!

I love that Disney side sign.

I hope you had a wonderful Pirates league experience!! we have done it twice now and cannot say enough about the CM's that are there. just wonderful! Avery is the most beautiful mermaid! i hope she loved it! her Hair is just darling love the flower too!!!

The CM's were out of this world. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone.

IASW.. my worst nightmare. little dolls singing a song that will forever haunt you. Unfortunately Meg being a little girl LOVES the dang thing...

Yes, I'm with you on that nightmare.

Was the Frozen M&G worth all the craziness?? Did they take their time with the girls???

ABSOLUTELY! I am so glad we got to see them. We had about five or six minutes total with them and it was wonderful. I'm not sure how it is now that they have split them up.

Holy cow a PRETTY Aurora!!! all the aurora's around i thought were ok or just plain.. this one was really pretty!!!!

I always feel that way about the Snow Whites I see.

BBB Cayley makes the most beautiful Ariel is RIGHT! you had some beautiful Mermaids surrounding you!!! Sorry you couldn't get into the castle... Now i have to go back and make sure where my appointment for this is... :rolleyes1

You better have it written down where your appointment is.

looks like the parks are rather empty???

I wouldn't say empty, but it wasn't that crowded that evening.

Of course you and Mary are ADORABLE carrying your fantastic D~ special bags!!!

can't wait for more!!! popcorn::

Thanks, Mo.

Loved seeing the girls' make-overs! They are so precious! It looks like they enjoyed it and had a loto f fun.

I believe they both really enjoyed themselves.

I hope to eat at CHH one day... sadly we always have too many ADRs at MK, and never have room in our bellies for CS meals. However - this coming trip, we have a half day at MK to start off - we might be able to eat there this time. Yay... Glad you posted pictures, or I never would have remembered that. It's going on my to-do list! THanks Kathy.

Oh I hope you can get there on your half day; I think you would really like it.

I love that picture of you and Mary. I am glad you like the bags... Your Dumbo one is one of my all time favorites! :thumbsup2

D~

Thanks, D. And thank you for my very special bag.

Cayley is the best Ariel! So sweet. Looks like she had a fun time.

She was eating up the attention.

Lunch looks good; too bad Avery wasn't interested in it! Hope you got to go on those rides! :thumbsup2

Oh, I'm pretty sure we gave in to her cuteness.

I LOVE the purses. SO super cute. What a talented lady!

Yes, D is very talented.

The girls look so pretty with their make overs! I love the PL mermaid one, but Maddie just wont' give up the BBB.

With all of Maddie's princess dresses, it would be hard to give up the BBB.

The DTD BBB is really pretty. I love how bright and girly it is in there.

It's the first time I actually even looked in there; now I have to peek at the one in the Castle.

Hahaha! Poor Avery. I'm sure it helped to have 'Aunt' Kathy there to lighten the mood. :thumbsup2

Hmmmm, not sure about that. When I tried to get a picture of her later I got the evil eye.

Someday I'd love to stay at OKW (I think I say that every time I read one of your TRs). I love the look of the place and that relaxed vibe is the perfect anecdote to a go-go-go WDW vacation.

Oh I wish you would; I really think you and DH would love the resort.

Oh my gosh, this thread moves fast! With everything going on, I just can't keep up. :sad2: Ugh.

Just a lot of chit chat at times, Tracy. I've not done nearly the updates I have wanted to. I hope things are getting better for you. You always have my good thoughts.

The girls look absolutely adorable in their makeovers. So sweet. I cracked up at Avery refusing to be spoon fed yogurt. A picture would have indeed been perfect. Heee! :rotfl2:

I really wish we had gotten that picture for revenge years down the road.

Hopefully, with the boss away all summer, your work schedule will be at a much slower pace? Or is that wishful thinking? LOL. In any case, I hope it does for you. I look forward to more updates and will try my best to keep up as much as I can. I'm sorry.

Things will be some what quieter. I have a lot of filing to do while he is away. But it also leaves me more DIS time. And you be here when you can...I understand.

For the free parking? :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

If you could find any parking! That place is a disaster right now. Good thing they are building a parking garage.

(That's ok. I wouldn't have any idea.)

Thanks; I figured most of you guys wouldn't.

Very nice!

She turned out lovely.

:rotfl2:You guys would fit right in at the 50's PT Cafe!

Except I don't like the food there. :rotfl:

But I thought this place was magical!:confused3

It is; but the magic is in the parks not the restaurants. People are just lazy!

Cool! :thumbsup2

Love my Dumbo bag.

I love those bags! So Cute!

Thank you. :goodvibes

I'd been wondering about your title! Bwahahahahahaha Great Story!

Isn't it? We had a lot of fun with the remainder of the trip.

Loving your trip report! Hope work levels out for you a bit! I hate it when the office gets crazy!

It has and hopefully will continue to level out. Vacation season starts with a lot of these lawyers now that schools are out so they can spend time with their kids.

Cayley makes a beautiful princess Cathy

Thanks, Linda.

Oh and I am in on the becoming a mermaid idea!

It's a deal then.

Thanks, Max. We will definitely try to do it then.

I'm going to do another update here since I won't be able to do one this weekend. Mark and Alisha are on their way here to spend the weekend with us. We've not seen them since Easter and we are missing them. The kids and I are going to the Zoo tomorrow and big Mark will be umpping baseball all day. Then Alisha and I will hit the stores (Ross) while they are here.

So I left off with the bad, bad baby spitting her yogurt and showing off our original D bags. Now it was time to hit some rides.

First off was a favorite (although it would NOT be a favorite a couple of days later):

The girls had a sword fight in honor of Mr. Mark:

And then it was snack time (so much for those rides):

I wanted this photo opportunity because I had taken one on our first girls trip. The girls were NOT being very cooperative:

We were off to see a flying elephant:

And then it was time. It was time for the ride we had all been waiting for:

THE MINE RIDE! Now, I have to admit, I didn't get many pictures at all because we were all jumping with excitement.

The 7 Dwarfs cottage:

People we do not know being loaded into their car

We all LOVED it. We knew going in that it wasn't going to be a thrill ride, but it is so perfectly Disney and fits in Fantasyland just as I thought it would.

By now, the girls were starting to drag, so it was time to go. But not without a stop on the way out. But where? Come back to find out.

A Dole Whip is always a good reason to take a break from rides!

Glad you enjoyed the Mine Train so much - especially that you feel it fits into Fantasyland so much! Can't wait to ride it!

Just now getting back on the DISboards and trying to get caught up with TR's after our WDW trip earlier this month. So sorry to hear about your mom and Mark's job. I've been there and done that for both and I can only say that after a while, it will all seem like a distant dream. It doesn't make it any easier to get through today but you know y'all have our thoughts and prayers.

The first of many changed plans in the trip was we decided NOT to go to DTD for dinner, but to eat at a favorite place right at our resort: Olivia's.
Let me just say I love those chips and I love Olivia's. It is truly a hidden gem. We had some of our best meals of the trip here (yes, we will eat here again).
Olivia's truly is a hidden gem and I think most everyone that eats there feels the same. OKW is so relaxing and has a real resort feel instead of a hotel atmosphere. Olivia's fits right in and the CMs there are the best!

I am so sorry we were not able to meet up during our trip but at least I'll be able to read about your trip here! More please! :thumbsup2

Yay, glad you got on the Mine Train! :cool1: Can't wait to ride that in September.

Dumbo is still one of my absolute favorites. I just love the colors at night, the reds and purples. SO pretty!

Great update!!!

Are those Dole Whips I spy? Yummy!

So glad you all loved Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I agree with you 100%....what a great addition to New Fantasyland! We loved it also...and you get some killer views of the castles. :cool1:

Dole Whips and the mine train? LOVE IT!!
Glad to hear you think it's a good ride for FL. I'm really looking forward to riding it - but I have to wait until December!!

Hope you have an awesome fun weekend with Mark and Alisha!

Avery's mermaid transformation is excellent! And what a pretty princes Cayley was!

So cool that you had a fp+ to see Anna and Elsa!

:lmao: That is so funny that Avery was a Bad, Bad Baby!!

Love the D original bags. :thumbsup2

and.....

MINE TRAIN!!! That is so cool you have rode it. Not a thrill ride? Ok, so i will be fine riding it not knowing much more. We are all trying to have limited exposure to what is it like until we get to ride in the fall.

Don't you love Dumbo at night with the lights in the water? It's right up there with BTMRR after dark for me.

I take it you took a pass on the Dole Whip?

Nice pics of you and Avery! You have a really great smile!

Caught up on the last couple of updates.

Cayley's makeover is awesome! The pictures of the transition in process are excellent. Are they yours, photopass or a combination of both?

Did you BYOD (Bring Your Own Dress) or get one of theirs?

Love Columbia Harbor House!!! My favorite CS at MK.

Funny story for the trip report title. I love when there is a running joke throughout a trip.

The bags made by DMGeurts are really nice.

Great selection of rides/snacks and photos for your afternoon and evening.

I haven't actually seen many Mine Train photos or videos so it was a treat to see some of the ride. Love the view as you are coming up the tracks and looking at the castle.

:goodvibes

So jealous that you got to ride the Mine Train! Looks like you are all having a blast. I really can't wait to ride it in October! When we were watching the CM's ride it in May it just looked so fun!

You girls really had a wonderful and full first day.

Love the sword fight in honor of Mr Mark!

Have a great weekend!

MINE TRAIN :yay: I have three FP in August I can't wait  I love the girls' sword fight in Mark's Honor :goodvibes

Mmm... Dole Whips and SDMT... I don't think it gets much better than that? I am very excited to do both in August.

And I love that picture of the girls in adventure land... Even though they weren't cooperating, it's still adorable, and made me chuckle. :)

I hope you have a wonderful weekend with the kids. HOpefully Mark gets to join in the fun at some point.

D~

Luvin the pics from the mine train.. although the one of dopey looks a little scary!
