Great description of the expo! It's too bad that the volunteers didn't have all the information that they need and you had to go through that line twice So impressive that your grandmother managed to get everyone's shoes easily!

Yes I know they are volunteers and all but just wish they were all on the same page.

I was myself impressed with her being able to get all the shoes!

I have a love/hate relationship with the expo. I love all the merchandise and the excitement and, yes, even the crowds, but I get annoyed with having to do all the running back and forth between the areas to get things done. The lines to get bibs can be a bit crazy as well. I'm glad you were able to get things straightened out, but sounds like a big hassle. I love all the shots in front of the medal banners though. Sounds like you guys got a great haul on the merchandise!

I can definitely understand the love hate relationship. I don't like having to go all over the place either but I do love the merchandise.

Great Trip report so far. That sounds very annoying on the bibs, but glad you got it done and it hopefully didn't eat too much of your time. The half jacket is pretty cool! I do an Excel spreadsheet too, but just color code the text on it! Can't wait to read more!

Yes it was annoying but it is what it is. I love my half jacket I'll probably end up buying one if I run the full next year.

That waiver problem is really weird. If you're old enough to run the race, you should be old enough to pick up your packet as long as you have the signed waiver.

I love the pictures of you guys with the race banners! And that picture of your sisters in front of the gingerbread carousel is definitely a keeper!

That exactly what I thought and that's how they treated my 10K and half but for some reason that 5k volunteer wouldn't budge!

I still have a bunch of pictures to go through and then to decide how many to actually get printed. I also need to make my Disney vacation video that I said I would do. I just need to find time for all of this.

Before I get started with this update I am going to show a photo of my excel spreadsheet Itinerary. I make one for each trip but I don't always stick 100% to them.

Thanks for sharing the spreadsheet. I've seen a few versions of these, but I like the layout of yours. I'm interested in reading about your race experience since I've thought about doing it myself one day.

If you apparently 'technically' had to have the adult signing your waiver with you, it would have been nice if it said that on the form. I would assume then you would have just had your grandma sign and with you from the start- problem solved! Oh well!

I really like your sister's 'I'm training' t-shirt! Did she get that at last year's race weekend?

We got them online just after registration. I had one for the half but didn't bring it along this weekend.

Its a Star Wars/Osborne Studios!

After our Expo excursion we headed back to The Beach Club to drop off our major merchandise haul. Soon we were on the boat to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We got to DHS around 1:00PM plenty of time before our first FP.





We decided to head towards Rockin Rollercoaster. It had around a 45 minute wait but we decided to do it anyways because we didn't know when we would be able to otherwise.





I love my sisters faces here! Of course my Grandma and Judy didn't ride.

We headed towards our first FP...


Apparently Photobucket is down preventing me from uploading any pictures so I can post them here. So I guess we have a short preview of what I could get uploaded until photobucket gets their stuff together!

I laughed at that photo. Even you are showing a "WHAT A RUSH!" face. Lil sis looks both thrilled and terrified. Middle sis looks just terrified.

In general though the crowds don't look too bad. At least not a ton of people wandering the streets of Hollywood.

I am still shocked at how long the Christmas decorations stayed up this year! When we were at the Magic Kingdom on Friday (Jan 8), we couldn't believe Main Street was still all decked out and then on Sunday that the tree was still up at Hollywood Studios. But I have never been to Disney during the holidays, so I loved it!!!

I'm glad you decided to ride RnR- that attraction has the best ride photo faces!

The Christmas decor was still up in the parks last year for marathon weekend but the resorts were not decorated. This year both were. I guess it just depends on the year. Until last year I hadn't been during the holidays either.

Yes my family loves RnRc so we had to ride it despite the longer wait.

Hopefully Photobucket is fixed later today so I can update more.
