I am never riding Space Mountain again! A Marathon Weekend TR Complete

Following along. Great room! We stayed at Beach Club about a year and a half ago and it looks like it's undergone some refurbishment, which it sorely needed. Looking forward to reading more.

Oooh - that worked out nice that you still got club level access even with a first floor room. When we were there in August we were staying DVC, but we had some friends who had an identical room to yours that we checked out. The BC rooms look much nicer than the DVC rooms, which are in big-time need of refurb (they're scheduled this year). Our view was not that good, but as it was too hot and rainy to go out on the balcony i didn't much care.

Don't get too used to the BC though - someday you'll have to pay your own way!

Wow, the view from your room is incredible!! And it's pretty awesome that they got you club level access even though they forgot to put you in a club level room.

The view is what sold the room. Even if that wasn't our view I still would've loved the hotel but that made it ten times better.

Following your trip report. BTW, your grandma and her sister seem awesome and easy-going lol. I think its fun travelling with grandparents because it gives you a change of pace and also makes things extra comical at times lol (or at least with my grandmother it does!)

Arrival Day continued...

After looking at the room and getting situated a little bit we went to get something to eat as we haven't eaten since around noon central time and it was around 9:30! We went over to the Beach Club Marketplace to pick out our resort mugs as we get those included with the Disney Dining Plan. I picked blue, Judy purple, Jordan green, and my Grandma and Sydnee red.

Once we had those we looked at the menu. While it didn't have a whole lot to choose from it was enough. We got a cheese flatbread pizza, pepperoni flatbread pizza and Judy got one of the sandwiches with chips. We sat just outside the Marketplace to eat and as we were enjoying our dinner our luggage passed us by on one of the carts being delivered to our room. We all liked what we got but did find the pizza a little greasy.

We headed back for the room to unpack a bit before bed. I unpacked and then told everyone I was going to go around the resort taking pictures on to explore the Yacht and Beach clubs. I really enjoyed my little exploration but feel I almost didn't do enough of it.











I really loved the Carousel in the lobby. I have never gotten to experience Christmas decor at any of the hotels so this was a nice added bonus but was down later in the week.

























I then head inside Yacht Club to check out the train display. I really loved the display as growing up I was really into trains.

Yes my Grandma usually is easy going it's my grandpa that isn't so much but thats ok. We really did have a great time.

My guess is he got to ride with the lights on and saw how close you come to becoming decapitated. Scary stuff.

Haha, having had that experience I know what you mean. Try riding it when you're 6'6", it's scary lights on or off.

We actually never ate at the Marketplace even though we were there 6 nights. The selection was poor, and the seating was terrible. There were like 4 tables out in the hall, the rest were out in the courtyard behind, and in the summer in was so uncomfortable we didn't want to eat there. Combine that with the short walk to Epcot and we would just eat there.

The resort looked so pretty with the Christmas decorations. They really add an elegance that I didn't really see without it. (we have seen the Christmas decorations at the Beach Club many years ago - but we weren't staying there.)

Caught up. Great report! The remodel of the BC/YC rooms is simply remarkable.

Glad to hear the CM took care of you cuss after the mix up.
